New friends and magic part 1  solo   finished
Wednesday | 1 September 2021 | before the Hogwarts Express' departure, and the sorting hat

Despite Maria being excited to receive a letter from Hogwarts, because of the opportunity to learn about magic and the chance to make new friends. She was secretly afraid about what might happen there since she had never been to an actual school before. They only had to deal with being homeschooled by her wizard-born parents, so she never had the chance to experience a major change like this. Her life was pretty peaceful before the Hogwarts letter had arrived at her house in Castle Caereinion, Wales, but it was to be expected as it wouldn’t last forever. Especially when household magic is used so often around their house, and their daughter, Maria, had their accidental underaged wandless magic moment when they were just five years old.

While her father and big brother were at their jobs, her mother had to bring Maria to Hogwarts during her day off. "Maria, did you get some floo powder during our trip to Diagon Alley? If so, we can get you to Kings Cross Station on time before the train leaves by using it on the fireplace," said Amy, who was Maria's mother.
"I bought one just in case, Mommy," said Maria, smiling.
"Excellent, and do you have your trunk with you?" said Amy.
"Yes, and can we go now? I am going to be late for the train if we keep talking to each other like this," said Maria.
"We will go as soon as you give the floo powder to me," said Amy.
"Ok," said Maria, as she opened the trunk. Upon handing the floo powder pouch to her mother, closing the trunk, and carrying it in her right hand. Amy aka Maria's mother looked at her daughter, because they have never used the floo system before.
"Maria, what I am going to tell you about the floo system is very important. Because if you don't pay attention, you can end up in the wrong fireplace," said Amy. "You must speak clearly, shut your eyes, keep your elbows tucked in, and don't fidget or panic."
Maria nodded a yes towards her mother, and then kept her eyes shut, tucked her elbows in, and didn't fidget or panic. Seeing as her daughter was ready, Amy took the floo powder out from the pouch and put it in her hand. With a confident tone in her voice, they shouted "DIAGON ALLEY!", and threw the floo powder to the floor.
Green emerald fire erupted from the ground, swallowed them, and made them reappear in Diagon Alley's fireplace. Once that was over, Amy brought Maria out of the fireplace.
"You can open your eyes now," said Amy. Maria opened her eyes, and then looked at her surroundings with a confused look on their face. Her mother noticed the confusion on her daughter's face, and was secretly laughing at her expression.
"I know you have some questions about the floo powder and the floo system. However, I don't have the time to answer your questions, Maria," said Amy.
"I wasn't going to say anything about that, mommy," said Maria.
"Oh, then we should get going," said Amy.
"Alright," said Maria.
They headed towards the exit of Diagon Alley, went out of the Leaky Cauldron's exit, and then went to Kings Cross Station.

The arrival at Kings Cross Station was something else for Maria, since she didn't know that a muggle train station looked like this.
"Mommy, those aren't the trains we are looking for on the ticket," said Maria.
"I know, but we are at the right location," said Amy. "You just need to follow me."
"If you say so," said Maria.
Following behind her mother, the two of them traveled to platform ten and nine to find Platform 9¾. However, there wasn't a sign pointing at Platform 9¾, so Maria ended up looking at her mother for some advice.
"Maria, I want you to run straight at the stone pillar between platform ten and nine. You will see Platform 9¾ on the other side," said Amy.
"Ok mommy, and I was going to do that anyway, because of what daddy used to say to me," said Maria.
"Please don't listen to his advice. I don't want you to get hurt if you end up listening to that," said Amy.
"I don't always listen to daddy's advice. However, a situation like this makes that a good idea," said Maria. The two of them were talking about the advice about doing the unexpected.
"....Just run towards the stone pillar, Maria. We will talk about this later," said Amy.
"Ok," said Maria, who ran at the wall between platformm ten and nine.
