Which Table is it?- OPEN
As the students gather around the giant closed doors of the great hall, Fiona can't help but notice the varying degree of excitement and nervousness on everyone's face. "Tension so thick, you could cut it with a knife." She thought to herself. The giant wooden doors were surrounded by the ancient stone of the castle—Enveloping the heavy wooden doors in an inpeneraturble. There were no sounds coming from beyond that door, all of the noise was enclosing Fiona. The giggles, chatter and shushing were now like a dull roar around her head. She stood amongst her peers and adjusted her robes. Soon enough she will find out what house she will spend her time in. She imagined the colors of each house on the hem of her vest. "Blue, Green, Red or yellow." she continued to fantasize. Her auburn hair lay behind her ears in a low pony, which definitely revealed her age. She was this little 11-year old in this ancient school, surrounded by more pre-teens than Fiona had ever really seen in one place.
Prior to receiving her Hogwarts letter, Fiona had attended a muggle school. There weren't that many pupils there, let alone one's that were her age. Maybe about 50 of them, maximum. Hogwarts on the other hand was incredibly different. Fiona looked up from her vest hem and around again at her peers. She gazed and peaked to find a friendly face, or not so friendly; so she would know to avoid those individuals. Fiona had not experienced anyone shaming her for her for being muggle born but she had been informed that it could very well happen. Fiona had met a few other students during her time in Diagon Alley and on Platform 9 3/4 but hadn't really met anyone in her year. Her hazel eyes dart around from student to student trying to catch a glace with someone.
"You could be friends with any one of them." She told herself. Just then an unknown professor established themselves in the hall and got the attention of the students. Fiona listened intently and her excitment began to bubble to the surface, breaking a wide grin across her face. Beaming, she stood there patiently and awaited further instructions from the professor. She took a deep breath and exhaled. As she exhaled, she stepped back. Little did she realize, there was another student behind her and the back of Fiona's foot stood on top of their toes.
She was so close to this student she could feel the warmth of their breath on her head. Completely starttled, Fiona turned her body to face the student she unintnetionally stepped on. With wide apologetic eyes " Sorry, Mate. So sorry about that." she began to explain.
