First Year Train Journey Closed

Arya sighed as her mom took what must have been the hundredth photo. “Mom, I’m going to be late.” She warned. “Just one more?” Her mom asked, and took another one.
“I can just go without you.” Arya said frustratedly. At that moment, her brothers, Liam and Aidan, raced down the stairs. “Can we come?” Aidan asked.
“Yes, we’re all going!” Mom shouted. “Honey, we’re leaving!” She hollered up the stairs.
Arya’s dad came down the stairs, struggling into his pants.
“I seem to have lost the car key.” He said. Arya’s mom groaned.

They just barely made it to Platform 9 3/4 on time. Arya grinned as Amber, her older sister, and Amber’s girlfriend Maddie came over to her.
“Good luck.” Maddie said, hugging Arya.
“Don’t do anything stupid, okay?” Amber said, fishing in her pocket for something. “I have a gift for you.”
She handed Arya a small box. Arya opened it. Inside was a bracelet made of dragon teeth.
“Luna and Violet lost their first teeth a few days ago, and so I had a bracelet made for you. Write often, okay?” Amber said, helping Arya put the bracelet on.
“Absolutely.” Arya replied happily.
Just then, the train whistle blew.
“Time to go!” Arya’s mom said. Arya grabbed her trunk and hauled it toward the train. She saw Amber wave her wand, and her trunk instantly felt lighter.
“Thanks, Amber.”
Liam and Aidan ran over and hugged her. “I can’t wait to go to Hogwarts.” Liam said.
“I love you both, but please let go. I’ll write daily, okay?” Arya said, prying the twins off her.
She waved goodbye to her family and boarded the train.

Inside, she searched for an empty compartment. She ended up finding one and went in, lifting her trunk up into the rack and settling down to read.
