History/Background Story: Born July 24th, 2010, as the only child to Katherine and Samuel Sheehan, in Killarney, Ireland. Where her family still resides. Her mother, Katherine, works in town as a muggle schoolteacher. Whereas her father, Samuel, works as a local Historian and conservation specialist. With education always being at the forefront of her general upbringing Fiona typically excelled in school. Education and schoolwork were never a struggle for Fiona. It didn't felt exciting[/img] to her and brought her little fulfillment. She did, however, find that fulfillment in hobbies that most pre-teens scoff at. Fiona loved going into town with her mother and combing through every antique shop in the area. Fiona had a unique eye for vintage cauldrons. There was something special about them; they brought her a sense of fulfillment. Even she didn’t understand the magmatism between her and the cast iron vessels. By the time she was nine years old, she had managed to collect at least a dozen of them, all varying in size. Generally, Fiona enjoyed showing her treasures to her friends at school, and one day she was so excited to show them the newest cauldron in her collection. It had never made much sense to anyone in her immediate family; they all just believed it to be a phase. Her other favorite hobby was gardening. Fiona and her father would spend hours researching plant life in the area. They also spent time growing seasonal vegetation in their garden. Sometimes Fiona would convince her father to try to make stew or “potion” with their harvest.
With such nature-based and eccentric hobbies, Fiona was also generally wee-liked by her peers. She had attended the school that her mother worked at but didn’t run into her much. Occasionally she would see her in the corridors, but Fiona’s mother always gave Fiona personal space because her mother didn’t want to risk Fiona getting teased at school. Little did Katherine know; Fiona was well-aware of the school bullies. There was one in her year, Morgan. Morgan was known as one of the meanest girls in the school. Not because of what she would say, but what she would do. Most of the bullies were bark and no bite, and Morgan was all bite and no bark. Fiona’s very first incident of magic happened while she was at school because of Morgan.
Fiona understood that most pre-teen girls didn't like antiquing with their mothers, let alone collecting vintage cast-iron cauldrons. That was just a little weird for her friends to handle. One day at school, Fiona brought her newest cauldron to show her best friend, Andrea. The cauldron in question was realistically the size of an incense holder, but it had three legs and a handle, so it was a cauldron to Fiona.
Fiona usually met up with Andrea in the schoolyard before the start of school. With her small cauldron in her cardigan pocket, Fiona waited patiently before her friend got there. Just then, out of the corner of her eye, Fiona saw the school bully and their gaggle of sweaty pre-teen girls coming directly at her. This bully's name was Morgan. Morgan had usually left Fiona alone, but today that was not the case. Fiona got jostled around by the cronies and mocked by Morgan. Until finally, her cauldron flies out of her pocket, landing with a metallic clink, clink, clink. Morgan pushes Fiona away as she lunges forward, thwarting her attempts to grab her cauldron. Morgan picks up the cauldron and examines it.
" Is this for dolls? Do you still play with dolls, Sheehan?!" Fiona felt the air escape her, unable to speak or even move. She was frozen by the fear that not only would she be accused of playing with dolls in such an embarrassing manner, but she was also terrified of Morgan keeping her cauldron from her. The surrounding laughter of the group of girls only amplified the ringing that began in Fiona's ears. For a moment in time, Fiona saw that Morgan was speaking to her, mocking her and probably insulting her, but her hearing was muffled. Fiona kept her eyes on her small treasure in the hands of the mighty brute, Morgan. Fiona watched as Morgan raised her hand and the cauldron with all of her might. Fiona didn't break eye contact with the cauldron and watched as it flew through the air, almost as if in slow motion.
Morgan and her group of mean-spirited girls left Fiona in what seemed like a catatonic state. It was then that Fiona's friend Andrea walked over to Fiona. "Mate, I just saw what happened. I'm sorry, was that your new Cauldron? Morgan's a right prick." Andrea explained. At that moment, Andrea looked off into the distance with Fiona and saw the small cauldron hanging in mid-air. Fiona seemed to have frozen the cauldron right before it reached the fence of the schoolyard, and there it stayed until both girls walked over to the fence, right below the levitating cauldron. Fiona reached out her hand and snatched it from the still air. Both of the girls stood there in shock and disbelief. "Is this a dream?" Asked Fiona. "You're a superhero, Fiona!" encouraged Andrea. It wasn't a week later when a professor came to deliver Fiona her Hogwarts letter. And then she realized that most of her “luck” with gardening had been using wandless magic. The cauldron collection started to make sense, and though it was driven by education, the excitement of knowing that there is far more to the world than she originally thought.
