A new start! (Or so I hope!)
To be honest, Lyra was scared. And hopeful. This would be her chance at a new life! She had been taken here in a muggle car, which she had shared with 2 other wizarding families, who she had been nervous to talk to for the entire ride. They were friendly-looking, but even still, she didn't want to be annoying or bother anyone.
Her moms had left yesterday on a job, leaving her alone in the house until the carpool came to pick her up. She was the only one in the vehicle without her parents there with her.
When the car pulled up to the platform, she hesitantly opened the door, thanking the driver as she stepped out. She knew how to get on the Platform, luckily. Her moms hadn't failed her in that regard. However, as Lyra approached the wall with her trunks and car, she paused. What if someone hadn't learned how to get to the train? Would they need help?
She decided to wait and see if anyone arrived needing help for a few minutes before she went through. She didn't want anyone to have trouble reaching the train, and she had time to spare, so it only made sense to her. She watched the other witches and wizards pass through the wall, not paying her much attention except for the occasional wave.
