My Dearest Haley,
I think today is when you were supposed to return from your Grandparents, and although I can't see you to hear how it went I simply could not bare wait until summer camp, so be a love and tell me how you are? Was he as bad as you expected? Worse? Better? I hope very much that seeing Aiden was as happy a time as you expected, even if the rest was hard and sad.
Things have been quiet here, Theo is growing on me unfortunately - the other day he took mum and me to an ice cream parlour down the road, and he beat me in the 'who can eat more scoops' contest. You know me, you know that's quite a feat.

Hello Luv,
I'm sorry that it took me a few days to reply to you, I really am! But you know how it is with parents, we had a lot of catching up to do and I had to tell them about the trip to my grandfather's great weekend with you...and then the letter unfortunately got totally lost.
But to your questions - it was incredibly great to see Aiden again and I miss him already. I hope you two can get to know each other sometime. The adults kept calling us "lovebirds" which was a bit annoying but well...it was nice to see him again. As for my grandfather, I'll keep it short - he's history. The only good thing about him is that he introduced me to Aiden. Nothing more, nothing less.
You won that competition against Theo, didn't you? I know my best friend. I'm really glad you're doing well with him. I can't wait to meet him in person sometime.
I can't wait for summer camp and especially to finally see you again. I miss you.

You know you never have to apologise to me. It sounds like your parents bought the plan, which I'm glad for! I'm also happy to hear that you had fun with Aiden, but adults should know that you can be friends with boys without it meaning you fancy them! Anyway, he sounds like a good friend, I hope I can meet him one day. I have to admit I'm relieved that your grandfather is out of your life now, and that you managed to get some kind of closure.
I did not win against Theo, it's upsetting! You have to come over and help me one day. If I can't beat him maybe you can. I miss you, even though I'll see you in two days!
