This is the end of tomorrow
OOC: This is the Last Thread for the burning prompt! While this won't be the last time it's brought up, it's the last one in the few days that this is happening.
information that's important: The burn is on Michael's left arm, above his elbow on the bottom of his arm. It was a second-degree burn and was rubbed against slightly by his robes.
Date: 02/15/2021
wc of note: 72
Michael was lead to the Hospital wing by a calm Percival Gray, the boy's eyes following him as he walked. He was quiet as he held his arm, his mind far-off. He felt light now, but drained. What would happen now? How would he survive in the dorms with the other in there too.
Michael's eyes looked on straight, the boy lost to the world as they climbed up the stairs. They went passed students, eyes lingering as others looked away from the boy. The boy didn't take in any person truly, his mind slow as the adrenaline run on. The Panic gone, but emptiness left behind.
He made it to the Hospital wing before the veal dropped and he was pushed back in the real world. He felt his back straighten as he saw the adult in there. He couldn't let any one besides the other boys know. This needs to stay in the dorms.
"I-I was practicing a spell and it backfired and caught my robes, burning me" He said, his voice void of any emotion, as he searched for a logical excuse for the burn he had. "I just need to be h-healed." He said, his voice breaking towards the end, as he felt weird for telling the literal nurse he needed to be healed, while in the hospital wing. ". . That's all."

This is the end of tomorrow
Another day, another dime. He was getting into the swing of his job, and most of the small things that messed him up before were becoming run-of-the-mill. He was starting to see patterns in cases, most kids either came to him because they weren't sleeping well, they ate something stupid, or the fell down and hurt themselves. He could relate, he learned healing arts partly out of how tired he was of having to go to the hospital wing to get his little accidents healed. What was life without a little bit of risk and danger, after all.
Other times though, there were things that felt off, like it wasn't just a matter of being a bit too boisterous, or a bit too clumsy. Those were the worst ones. One of the problems he really hadn't foreseen when he took the job was just how much harder it was to see little kids being hurt. A lot of times, it wasn't because they were trying to show off or didn't know any better, but because life was cruel, and no one got out of it unscathed. He imagined this was a case like that.
Once the boys had come in, pretty much delivering the tiny firstie on his doorstep like it was a box of free kittens left on the street and forgotten. Wait, no, that was the opening to Oliver & Company, the animated movie about a cats and dogs growing up homeless in New York. Kels reminded himself he needed to figure out how to watch that again, or to write it down somewhere. Was there any chance the thought would survive this conversation? Get it together, Kels.
The little boy explained a burn he had, in the unconvincing way all little kids lied. Kels wasn't going to force it, though. He simply didn't have the time to get involved with every kid that needed help in Hogwarts. They all needed help, and he was just a humble swamp beast with incredible healing powers. Healing was exactly what he would do, just as asked. "Yop. Over here." Kels would shoot a sharp look at the two other boys who stayed with him. "Are ye both burnt too?"
Regardless of their answer, Kels would wave them over to his desk, where he would head towards the main glass cabinet directly behind it. It was there he kept the potions that were used daily, for easy and quick access. Taking the Burn Healing Paste out and applying it to the burn he had would not take long, but in that time, Kels wasn't joking around with the kids like he might usually. The room just felt tense, the kid was not crying loudly like how one would usually act if they were 11-years-old and had such a bad burn. Too quiet. It was unsettling.
"This'll make the pain go." Kels started, applying it so long as Michael let him. "But'ya gotta keep applyin' it fer a few days if'ya wanna heal up right. Burns is difficult t'treat without scarrin'. Can'ya come to the wing fer the next few days?"
