The Showers Were Full Closed

Why was Paige up so Early? Good question. It all started at about 5 in the morning. She was having a rather strange dream, where she could recall walking on water before being pulled under by the giant squid. She remembered putting up a fight z and just when she was about to break free she woke up. Well, she was a bit disappointed. Who wouldn't be? She was just about to defeat the evil squid .

Anyway, after that, she turned over in her bed and tried to go back to sleep. This went well for an hour an a half she went back to her dream. She escaped the squid, but found she could breathe underwater, so she went to explore. She grabbed a broom stick and flew under water- because they, why not, that's normal- when she woke up again. She tried to go back to sleep for about thirty minutes before bringing out her sketch book.
Some time later, she saw the sun was up. Since it was technically day time, she could roam around outside. She set her pencil down and pulled on a white shirt and some overalls. She lazily put on her crocs and tied her hair back. No one would be outside, so she grabbed her water bottle. She would take a peaceful morning walk.

She headed outside after carefully closing the door as to not wake the others off. She set off outside, thinking about her silly dream. Just to be sure it wasn't real, she walked over last the lake for a peek, to see if she would find a possessed squid. When she got to the lake, she opened her water bottle and took a swing after making sure there was no possessed squid that would drag her in the water. She swallows and closed her water bottle before averting her eyes to some movement.

So she wasn't the on one awake, huh. She squinted her eyes, resizing that was... Simon Kincaid. She opened her mouth to say hello, but saw him taking off his shirt. Confused, she shut her mouth. What? She gasped as she realized what he was about to do, and turned around just in time, but not before she dropped her met water bottle in shock. Naturally, it landed on a rock making a loud clang.

She turned around. "I'm so so so sorry! I was just going for a walk and then I saw you and then I of course looked away but I'm sorry because I'm intruding!" She said quickly.

Paige was mortified, as Simon was. She could understand why he would be mortified, for all he knew maybe Paige did see everything. But that's not fair, because I DID turn away! She mentally defended herself, which was useless because Simon Kincaid was not a mind reader. Simon swam to the edge of the lake and Paige had a sudden urge to back away as if he were the giant squid. She felt embarrassed because she had walked in in something that was not to be walked in on. Simon defended himself in such a silly way, Paige soon realized. "Its outside, Simon! Anyone could be around! She exclaimed, feeling less embarrassed now and more foolish, as Simon should.

Simon trailed off and Paige followed his eyes to a tree. There she could see wet clothes hanging to dry where Simon would have to get up to get them... and walk back to his cabin in wet clothes. That wasn't smart at all. If Paige were to do this, which she would never, she woukd of brought an extra pair of clothes and gone in with a bathing suit so she could take it off IN the lake and grab her clothes to change into. Which, nooo that's never accidentally happened to me

Simon finally found his words and Paige stopped ranting in her head to listen. He didn't want to smell like strawberry syrup? The statement was so foolish, all Paige could say was "I like strawberry syrup..." What? Why did I say that? I'm turning foolish like he is! Maybe it's a disease! Wait, why am I worrying about that? I have an awesome immune system. If anyone were to get this disease, it would be my brother. He always catches things like this... As usual, she got caught away in her brain. In fact, she forgot where she was and what was going on. When she finally got her head out of the clouds, she was a bit startled before remembering what was happening.

She couldn't help but laugh when Simon laughed, because after all this situation wasn't something that happened everyday. It was a first for Paige (hopefully for Simon, too). She stopped laughing quickly when she heard Simon's offer. Paige's eyes went wide. She hated, and I mean hated, showing bare skin. "W-what? Simon! Seriously? Don't you want me to bring you your clothes first so you can change under water? They're wet already... then Maybe I can come in with my clothes on.." She reasons desperately.

Paige could NOT believe a word she was hearing. "do my ears deceive me? Simon, listen to yourself, man! How will you be able to go get them and change into them without prancing around to the tree with no clothes on?! She shot right back at his attempt to defend himself. Normally, she wouldn't speak to people like a responsible human, because one, responsibility? What is that? And two, human? What human? There were no humans at the lake right now. Seriously. Not that Paige knew, but still, she wanted to make sure Simon learned his lesson. What knows, if this happens again maybe someone would actually agree with him and join in! Or what if someone mean steals his clothes, then what?

"Not to mention, what would that red head your always with think? She's your girlfriend isn't she? What if she was the one to come? Or what If I agreed and came in, too, and she happened to come by? I hate being the responsible one, here, so you need to start being responsible so I don't have to be!" She declared, with a really serious face as she shook her finger at Simon. She saw him open his mouth, and she prepared herself for more ranting, expecting him to defend himself. " how could you possibly still defend yourself, silly? I- oh- you agreed with me? Well then. Okay. Uh." She said, realizing half way he had given in. She stood there, not sure what to do.

Wait, duh, what he told her to. What she's been saying this whole time. She walked over to the tree, and picked up Simon's shirt, grabbed the underwear with the shirt (because, hey, she was super awkward with situations like this) and grabbed his shorts. She trotted back over to the lake, feeling slightly red in the face. Of all girls, it had to be her as she tossed the clothes to the naked boy in the lake. She hated awkward situations with boys. She was innocent and pure, and standing awkwardly. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to look away Sven though he would be getting dressed under water, so she improvised by examining her nails that weren't at all interesting.

"Er.. you done? Simon?" She asked uncertainty. When he said yes, she would turn around. Any other day, she would do a giant cannon ball. But this was supposed to be "calm" wasn't it? Instead, she gingerly dipped her lower half in the water before letting the rest of her body drop in.

Paige eased herself into the water slowly, and then swam over to Simon. Her shirt stuck to her skin, and her overalls certainly felt strange against her underwater. She took her hair out from its ponytail and let it get wet. When her hair was wet, that was the only time it wasn't curly. She likes when her hair is straight, but realized it took too much time to straighten every day.. and getting ready should be quick. She never spends time trying to look fancy.

So now she just lets her hair be curly. As she was in the water, she was reminded of a time during the school year. She had jumped in the lake with Henry Knight, and this was with the giant squid. Now, she was in a safe area of the lake. She couldn't help but smile, and her smile morphed into a laugh at Simon's comment. "Oh, so this is my fault? She teased, with one eyebrow raised. " Man, sorry. I should of realized someone would be in the lake with no clothes on. It's all my fault."
She joked, splashing Simon lightly.

It was much better now, now that he had clothes on. Well, he was struggling with his shirt, but oh well. "You know, I once jumped in here with a friend during the school year. It was fun, and that was before they didn't have a reserved area in the lake. She added the last part as if it was an afterthought. She looked up at the grounds before swimming further just slightly with her arms.

She looked at Simon. " Uh. You look like you're struggling there, my friend. " She noted. She pushed herself towards him. "Need some help there, Simon?" A hint of a smile was on her face. He didn't need to put his shirt on, because even if they were in bathing suits, for boys it was okay to have no shirt. Of course, did she need to point that out? Was it wrong to say she was having fun watching him struggle with his shirt?

Eventually, she couldn't hold it any longer. A laugh escaped her mouth and she didn't try to cover it up. "Simon, Simon. You don't have the wear the shirt if you don't want. If you do, though. I can just help you!" She exclaimed. she pointed to the grass. " I'll just swim over and toss it up there.. or lay it out so it will dry. She assured.

Paige burst out laughing at Simon's voice yelling her name, a light and mood lifting sound. "SIMON! I know! but you wanted to do that with all your clothes, so... HA!" She teased, splashing Simon with a smirk. "Shoulda thought of that Simon Kincaid!" It was evident she was no longer stressed about this, and was finding it as more of a joke now that the situation was over. And she would never speak of it.

ever. Simon got lucky, because Paige gaurded secrets from friends like she would her life. It always made her feel honored to be trusted with a secret, and she liked to prove that she was loyal. It was by chance she came across Simon, and she was glad that she was spending time with him now. She hadn't gotten to talk to him in some time, and it was nice to just talk and splash in the water together.

Paige watched Simon ball up his shirt, and her eyes followed the wet piece of clothing as it was thrown in the air. A noise of disapproval escaped her mouth, and she tried to cover it by clearing her throat. Unlike Simon, she was a great basketball player. She loved that sport. Simon, however, deemed his throw "not bad" and Paige didn't argue. It was pointless.
Have you... uh.. played basketball or something, before? Or was that a lazy throw?" She asked, not unkindly, forgetting to let it drop. It was impossible.

Paige looked at Simon, confused. "Really?" She wanted to know. She found it weird, when the lake had always seemed tempting to jump in, even if it was against the rules. To see the rules being followed was... weird. And following the curfew.. well, Paige was yet to break that rule, too. Yet.

But speaking of weird, Simon tried to avoid the sun? Instinctively, she glanced up at the sky, to where the sun was out and shining, but not too bright. . She looked at Simon. "Wait- why? Why do you avoid the sun?" She blurted. "Do you get sunburned easily or something??" She looked at his light skin. That could be it.
