A lonely start
"Miss Dawn, please take good care of the mansion when I'm away! Also, just for some reminders, don't go near breakable stuff and call Aunt Junynth when things get out of hands." She said to her guardian with certain worries. After waving goodbye, she stepped foot on the Hogwarts Express for the first time, fear and nervousness started to overcome her. She saw people walking together, talking and laughing. Because where she was brought up is deserted, she never has a true friend. She doesn't have a sibling, and her parents went missing 3 years ago. All those reason made her felt envious when she saw close friends walks by. However, she held her head up high, for she must not show weaknesses in front of others, as her aunt Junyth has said. She quickened her pace. got into an empty compartment and buried her nose in one of the brand new textbooks, Book of Spell. She couldn't seem to focus, all the jolly talking and laughter of good friends flooded her with envy. She angrily shut the door, swallowed her emotions and sat down again elegantly, sincerely hoping someone will get in here with her. With such thoughts, she opened the door slightly.

Shanelle was really excited about her first year at Hogwarts. She heard that Hogwarts was a wonderful place where she could learn more about their magical powers. She couldn’t wait until she got to Hogwarts, but before that she must get on the Hogwarts Express.
Shanelle and her parents just arrived at the Kings Cross Station. She could see lots of people rushing around, probably preparing for their train ride. Her head was constantly whipping around, checking her surroundings. She thought she saw muggle-borns with their parents, wondering how to get to Platform 9 and ¾ while her parents held her tightly and led her to the pillar between platform 9 and 10. She wished she could talk to the muggle born girl, not that her parents would be happy at all.
Shaking the thoughts out of her mind, she focused back on the entry to Platform 9 and ¾, her mother was reminding her, more like lecturing, about her behaviour at school, it wasn’t like she was the naughty kid. The lecture lasted for a couple of minutes until her father decided they should get going. Her parents held her hands as the family of three stepped through the brick wall and into the magical platform.
The first thing that caught her attention was the beautiful red and yellow train parked on the platform. It was one of the most magnificent things she had seen! Wizarding families were talking and laughing as they sent their child off to Hogwarts. Shanelle took a step towards the train, trying to inspect it further. HEr parents held her shoulder, stopping her without knowing, and told her to take care. She nodded absentmindedly, her attention still on the train, her mind wondering about the journey she would have at Hogwarts.
Her mother finally let her go with a final reassurance. “Yes, mom. I will write to you. I’ll also behave and hand in my homework on time, and have fun.”
She happily bounced towards the train, the interior was even more impressive, the decorations holding her eyes captive. She saw a compartment with it’s doors open and decided to check it out. A first year girl, her eyes burrowed in a book, was sitting there already. Shanelle walked in quietly, careful not to disturb the other girl and sat down on the other side of the compartment. She brought her book out, a final gift from her uncle and started reading.
Shanelle got a little bored after a while, as the train started moving. She looked up and saw the girl, maybe she should greet her? Shanelle closed her book and leaned forward, “Hi! I’m Shanelle Meza, it’s my first year at Hogwarts. What about you? The book you’re reading looks fun, what is it about?” Shanelle added the last sentence so her greeting sounds like an introduction and not an interrogation.

A lonely start
While looking over her book, Kara noticed a girl coming into the compartment. She secretly peeked at the girl behind her book. The atmosphere was a little awkward until the train started moving. Kara tried to start a conversation but no words came out. Luckily, the girl started introducing herself, so Kara gave a relieved sigh.Interacting: @Shanelle Meza
She looked up to the girl sitting across her, and smiled lightly, "It's the Book of Spells from the textbooks set. I'm just reading about some basic spells. Ah, sorry, my name's Kara Hazel and this is also my first year at Hogwarts!".
