Desperate for a swim
Taylor stared at the cool, icy water. It was a boiling hot day and she was desperate for a swim. She knew she ought not to go in without a teacher or prefects permission, due to her recent detention.
Taylor had jumped into the lake and dived down into the water, and almost died, but luckily @Pericles Draught had managed to get her up to the Hospital wing in time, but she'd had to serve detention for it, Taylor wasn't trying to be mean, she was glad she got detention, because she deserved it. But Taylor was more sensible now, she knew not to do anything stupid.
She sighed and looked around at everyone, not a prefect in sight, she sat down. She was sad. The only time Taylor had gone in the great lake, was to jump in and get detention, and so that wasn't really a proper swim, she longed to dive into the depths, but that was silly, and dangerous.
She searched around again, just to check if her eye sight was correct, but, she had seen Pericles Dralt! Surely if she asked him he's let her swim in the great lake? She'd ask him super politely! Maybe he'd even say yes! Taylor took a deep breath, squealed quietly, and made her way over to Pericles.
"Pericles! Hi- Wait, hang on.." She panted, gasping for breath. She had ran all the way to him not even stopping for a break. When her breathing started coming down to normal, she begged, "I know last time you said I had to ask before, I'd like to ask you something. Please, PRETTY please, could I swim in the lake? I'll be sensible now, I promise, only in the shallow bits. Pleaseeee?"
