Clair was looking at her list of school supplies she needed, all she needed now was her books, hoisting her bags of other school stuff up on her shoulder she started towards Flourish and Blott's.
The book store, she opened the door and walked inside the little bell at the top tinkled, the store smelled of old paper, a smell Clair adored.
Clair looked around the store only had a few other people in it, "Oh my friend is here! Can you finish your shopping by your self Clir?" Izzy Clair's older sister asked.
"I guess I can." Clair grumbled.
Izzy ran off to see her friend and Clair looked around, she got some of the books she needed now she just needed to get Fantastic beasts and where to find them.
She roamed the store and did not see it once finally, she decided to ask the clerk
"Hello, sir? Umm I am looking for a book, it's called Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them"
The clerk nodded "we just have one left, down there" he pointed to a shelf that was very low shelf the lowest of them all. Clair walked over and put down her bags, then bent to grab the book and bummed into someone knocking them over, Clair stood up "oh I am so so sorry miss!
Are you ok?" She bent down and started to help pick up the stuff the girl had dropped

Shanelle just bought her robes from Madam Malkin’s and was walking towards Flourish and Blotts to get her books.

She noticed the shelves of books inside the store. The thought of buying all the books suddenly overwhelmed her. Ignoring the thought, Shanelle focused on the list of books she needed, she had got all of the books she needed except for the Book of Spells. Shanelle’s eyes scanned the whole shop, looking for the category spells. Ah, she found it, as she reached the shelve and started to look for the book, she felt someone bumping into her. The books in her hands fell all over the floor.

Shanelle turned to see a girl about her own age, probably here to get prepared for Hogwarts. While the other girl apologized, Sofie shook her head and laughed, “It’s fine, I’m Shanelle, you?” Shanelle and the other girl picked up all the books on the ground while she waited for the girl to answer.

Maybe Shanelle would get a friend before Hogwarts?

Clair took a breath this girl, Shanelle was not mad "my Name is Clair. Clair Fernandez. Are you getting ready for Hogwart too? I am getting ready for my first year! Belle says its fun, Izzy says its horrid," Clair grinned "I am sorry Izzy and Belle are my sisters" Clair grabbed the last book from the floor, "I am ever so sorry, I did not see you there at all." how much more shopping so you have left? This is my last stop, maybe we can get a drink at the Leaky Cauldron, I have never been in it before have you?" Clair smiled "oh my Here I go again rambling on!"
She stood up and wiped off her jeans, "are you Muggle-born? I am! I have never even been to platform 9 3/4 before! My older sisters have though... Izzy says it's a germ mess, she says the trains a long terrible ride too, Belle told me the opposite! What do you think?" Clair smiled
She hoped Shanelle would like her, she would be the first wizarding friend she met!
Clair pulled her hair into a bun, then said.
"what house do you want to be in? I hope I get Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw!"

Shanelle smiled when the Clair started to ramble. She made sure she heard all of. Clair’s question so she can ramble when it’s her turn.

Shanelle took a deep breath and began, “Hi I’m Sofie I am super exciting to go to Hogwarts. My parents told me that Hogwarts is really fun but then they don’t want me to befriend a muggleborn but since when did I listen to them? We’re going to be best friends!!! This is also my last stop and I was having trouble deciding what to do next, I’ll be glad to visit the Leaky Cauldron with you. You might know that I’m a Pureblood. I am excited about boarding the Hogwarts Express! I have been to Platform 9 and 3/4, but never on the train. I have no idea which house I am going to be in! My parents said that I have attributes for all of the house!!”

With all of that said, Shanelle pulled Clair to the counter and they paid for their books.

Clair paid for her books then led Sofie out to the road, "this is going be so much fun! I have never met a pureblood before!" The road was a little muddy from the rain that morning, she laughed and jumped in a puddle, when her pants started to get wet she stopped and started to walk again, they walked past a few stores such as Weasly wizard wizzes and Ollivander's and some other shops, "have you ever read any Muggle books?" Clair asked, "i have read all sorts of Muggle books, I have never read a wizarding book in my life!" Clair chatted on happily
"I could talk all day could you?" Clair laughed "Mother says I talk too much! I think I talk and ask questions just the right amount! I am related to a wizard you know! My father's brother, Mr.ted I don't know if you know him or not, he works in the ministry of magic, for some secret thing, so you could say I am half blood to i guess," Clair smiled "what,about you who's your family? Anyone special? Any one SUPER COOL NIJAS?"Clair started to laugh "in muggle book Ninjas are in them alot."

Shanelle followed Clair as they walked down the street. Clair began to jump on the puddles, Shanelle was tempted to join but then dismissed the idea when she remembered the look of her parents face when they see her new jeans all dirty. So instead, Shanelle just laughed and watched Clair jump around and talk at the same time.

“It’s my first time meeting a muggle born as well! I’m really excited about making new friends.”

When Clair mentioned muggle books, Shanelle was excited to answer, “Muggle Fiction is my favourite!! I don’t read a lot of Wizarding books except for textbooks when I was homeschooled. My favourite genres are Sci-Fi and Fantasy.” Shanelle was proud that she knew the names of those categories.

Shanelle wasn’t that excited when the topic turned to family, she didn’t like hers that much. “I love with my parents and I’m the only child, must have been fun to have siblings to hangout with. We occasionally have my aunt over, she’s really cool! She always brings me new books and sometimes new gadgets she was working on! But she didn’t come often so it was quite boring. And my aunt is quite like those muggle ninjas, she always wear black. But she doesn’t hop on walls or run really fast.”

They soon arrived at the Leaky Cauldron, Shanelle pushed opened the door and entered, gesturing for Clair to follow.

Clair walked in the Leaky Cauldron, "so you are an only child? I think that's cool, if course it could be boring but you would get mew stuff apose to old three-time hand-me-downs." Clair found a table that was empty and sat down, "what do, you want? I think I want a hot chocolate,
A butterbeer would be cool but Mother would kill me!"
The Leaky Cauldron was 3\4 full of people, mostly children getting ready for Hogwart Clair guessed but a few of them were adults, a rowdy bunch sat by a window, they were laughing and singing some odd song, there was one woman and four men, the women wore a long midnight blue robe, and a matching hat, one man wore a blood Red robe, his wand stuck out of his pocket,
The other man wore a deep green robe with black stars on it. And the two other men (more boys around maybe 16) wore matching black robes with a Red and Yellow tie on the front, "I wonder if they are from Hogwarts?" Clair said "but why wear their outfit before school?'' Clair looked at the group for a while then asked Sofie "do you speak any other languages?"

“I guess I’m luckier when it comes to hand me downs. I always have new clothes. My mom’s a designer, she always reserves the best in a collection for me.” Shanelle said while they sat down in a empty seat. When Clair ordered a hot chocolate, Shanelle chose a cup of cold pumpkin juice.

Shanelle scanned the room, most were children about their age, probably here to shop for school supplies, some older witches and wizards were also there, drinking. She spotted some Hogwarts student, probably from Gryffindor, from the colour of their uniform.

Clair asked about the students and Shanelle had to think for a minute before asking. “I guess they wanted to wear their uniforms to meet each other, but why they do it beats me.”

“I speak French and a little of Spanish.” Shanelle said that in French, looking for some recognition from Clair. Then adding, “You?”

Shanelle sipped from her glass of pumpkin juice, sighed when she felt and ice cold drink slid down her throat. “Which class at Hogwarts are you most excited about?” Shanelle asked Clair. “I’m really excited about Charms and DADA. I have seen my parents perform spells, it looks awesome! I can’t wait to try for myself.”

Clair smiled "I speak French and Spanish too," she said that in french.
"I am looking forward to DADA and Potions, and Charms and Herbology as well,
OK I like a lot of classes!" she said laughing,
"I wonder what year their in?" Clair said pointing at the two students
"man, it would be a lot nicer if they put a little sign on student's backs saying what year they are from!... but I guess it would be hard to start a conversation for some Students, I mean like 95% of the Students start a Conversation, with 'what year are you in?' Sort of thing!"
Clair looked at her shoes, then she smiled ''that's cool that your moms a designer, I mean, my Mom is a baker for a small shop, Belle works for the farm, and Izzy is suppose to watch me here while I am at the wizarding. World, Maven just thinks I am at a Camp for bad behavior!"
She smiled "I'm always 'bad' according to my nanny Marven! He hates me, I think that I creeped him out when I did magic by accedent! Hehe! I hated Marven as well so we are equal, Did you ever have a Nanny?"

“Oh! You speak both languages too! We will have a secret language together then!” Shanelle was quite surprised, not a lot of people she knew knew it. Shanelle had a distinct French lineage from her mother, that was the reason she knew French.

She was quite fascinated when Clair told her about her life. Sure, she had lived her whole life in the muggle society and she was one of the very few purebloods who was familiar with muggle lifestyles, but her family always had two sides, the bright side they show to muggles and the other magical side only wizards knew. Her life was and had always been magical, unlike Clair. She couldn’t wait for the Muggle Studies class at Hogwarts.

“My older brother, Jonathan is also a student at Hogwarts, he’s a third year student now. I had to wait for two whole years while listening to all the fun stuff he did before I could finally come here. I can’t wait for the start of school to come!” She said while sipping her drink, enjoying the icy cold liquid as it slid down her throat.

“You know, I had heard about the different clans and clubs at Hogwarts, which one are you most excited about? I am interested in the dueling club, quidditch, and the Hogwarts choir.”

A few seconds passed as another thought came across her mind, maybe the two girls can finish their shopping? Shanelle still have a few shops on her list. “Hey, anyway, I was thinking. Was Flourish and Blotts your last shop? I still have Madam Malkin’s and some quills on my shopping list. We could continued your shopping together.”
