Springtime and Poetry
Today was quite lovely for this time of year. It was spring and the Blossom Fest was in full swing. Elsie was certainly enjoying the weather today. It was sunny but a sight breeze was present. The sky was a bright blue with only a cloud or two occasionally present. Although she preferred colder weather, even Elsie couldn't help to be outdoors. It was too nice out to not go for a walk.
Elsie typically liked the comfort of the indoors. However, as she took notice of the Great Lake, the castle's reflection in the water, the several booths for Blossom Fest scattered around, and the colorful flowers decorating the grounds, Elsie was certainly glad she opted to spend some outdoor time.
She smiled as she walked. Perhaps the scenery would be good inspiration for a poem. It was times like these that she was thankful that she early ever left her dorm without a pen and a notebook. Walking a little farther while hugging her notebook closely to her, she made it to a less populated area and chose to sit down in the field and do a little writing. She opened her notebook, which was simple and had a navy blue hard cover, found a blank page, and began to write.
Welcome Spring

Winter has finally said goodbye,
And the snow has begun to melt away.
But do not worry theres no need to cry,
For Spring has come today.
Spring has new things it will bring,
Ones we can discover however we please.
Like pretty flowers and birds that sing,
And a steady, comfortable breeze.
Now Spring won't be here forever,
So enjoy it while you can.
Let us forget it never,
and welcome it into our land.

Springtime and Poetry
It was officially Spring, which meant for Mae a few more months until Summer and a few more days until her birthday. It made her want to frolic around with the daisies with pure delight. She was in her dorm when she looked out the window, all she saw was son and it seemed like it was a wonderful day so she picked up her robes and decided to go outside. One by one she went down each floor and wondered what it would be like if they had installed an elevator in Hogwarts. She got down the the floor where they held the library and decided to go in to read while she was outside. She went into the library and made her way around some of the shelves. She picked a book that looked interesting and checked it out. She made her way down to the last floor. "Should I go outside, or into the small hall," Mae said to herself, she stood there with a few minutes deciding which way she stood go. She finally made up her mind and went outside. She was walking halfway down the grounds when she sat down on a bench. She decided to relax and read her book when she looked up from it for a split second that wasn't, no it was. "ELSIE!" Mae called out.

Elsie's head jerked up at the sudden noise. She quickly found out who had called her. It was Mae. Elsie couldn't help but give a toothy grin towards her friend. Mae Winters and her were pen pals for a good while. She was Elsie's first friend and most certainly her closest. "Hello Mae!" Elsie replied happily waving to the other Ravenclaw. Elsie closed her notebook and stood up from her spot. Walking over to her friend, Elsie couldn't help but smile. Elsie was typically timid around others;however, Mae and her seemed to mesh quite well. This of course made Elsie a lot more comfortable and brought her a bit more out of her shell.
"I'm really glad to see you." Elsie spoke a smile still evident, "Its a really pretty day today. Usually I'd be indoors, but the weather is so nice that I figured fresh air would do some good" her cheeks tinted pink partially from the sun and also for talking so much. "Would you like to walk with me?" Elsie asked gripping her notebook and pen. It was certainly a good day for a walk. Maybe she could even show Mae her poem. If she wanted to see it of course. She didn't usually present her poetry or stories to other people.

Elsie jerked her head up, Mae thought for sure that she scared Elsie a little bit. But with the amount of loudness that came with her voice she wasn't surprised. Elsie then said "Hello Mae," which was a bit of a suprise for her. Elsie closed what she was holding which Mae assumed was a book and walked up from her spot. "I'm really glad to see you," Elsie said to her with a smile. Personally Mae was a bit happy to see her too, after all she was the first friend Mae made at Hogwarts and she thought they clashed quite well when it came to friendship. She then said "Its a really pretty day today. Usually I'd be indoors, but the weather is so nice that I figured fresh air would do some good". Mae agreed silently as she looked up, the weather was nice there was a breeze with barely any clouds. She then asked Mae "Would you like to walk with me?". Which Mae responded "It's actually really nice to see you too," she said with a smile "Also the weather is nice, especially for spring, and also for a walk so sure," she added, she came outside to read but she didn't mind walking.
