History:During her time at Ilvermorny, Caroline focuses on her studies more than anything.This makes perfect sense as she was sorted in the Horned Serpent house which favors scholars.Outside of her studies however, she enjoys writing to all of her family in California.Sometimes Caroline can be quite selfish when it comes to reaching her goals but she can also be one of the most loyal friends you'll ever have if she trusts you enough.
since I saw that clarity was needed I went back here to edit and make sure the situation made more sense.Being wizard-born Caroline grew up only knowing of the magical world,so once she got her Ilvermorny letter her parents had been absolutely thrilled.Caroline's parents and many cousins reside in California.Outside of California however,Caroline has more cousins attending Hogwarts that she has never met due to the fact her cousins is are all considered 'blood-traitors' to her mother's family.Ever since they were abandoned by the family,her 'outlawed' cousins have mingled with muggles in faraway Scotland to most likely escape the wrath of the family's elders.The only reason why her mother wasn't considered a blood-traitor when marrying a muggle-born, is because she allowed Caroline's grandmother to control most of her child's life from that day forward.When she was five Caroline had her first act of magic.It all happened when her mother was having a weekly chat with Caroline's Grandmother. That day Caroline had made a simple drawing of her father's broomstick,but mind you she was very proud of it.Her mother had left to the kitchen and her grandmother had just caught eye of Carol's drawing when she immediately took it out o her hand.As her grandmother realized the drawing was of her father's broom, she took to a disgusted face."How could your mother let you see that man?".To little Caroline's horror, her grandmother began to rip the drawing to shreds,not leaving any room for mercy.Just as the last shred hit the floor, Caroline's emotions willed the shreds to float up pack into the air and reassemble just as her mother arrived from the kitchen.Just as happy as she was surprised,Caroline's mother ran over to her daughter to have a heartfelt hug,just knowing that her daughter would an amazing witch someday was enough for her mother.When it come's to Caroline's linage,the Belindez family of her mother's side is an old and respected Pureblood family, that can be traced all the way to South America.This is most likely where her ancestors resided before migrating to the U.S. in the nineteen-hundreds.As for her father's side of the family,the Carson family.Which originated and currently resides in Louisiana.The family arrived in the south as slaves in the 1800's,though as time went on the family became quite respected in their small town town as great bakers of sweets.Even though the Carson family is much older,they are muggles,which is why the Belindez family puts themselves at such high standards as purebloods.

Being a pureblood child in the Belindez family was more then just frolicking around a playground, making friends with whomever you pleased, and thinking that your 'best' is enough for anything you try.
Being a pureblood Belindez child meant doing whatever the family elder knew was best. It was appeasing the family's honor among other purebloods, and not just doing something with ninety nine percent of your effort.
Though Caroline's case was quite different.
Her mother, Mariana did exactly the opposite of obeying the family elder's rules. Instead of marrying the rich pureblood man they had arranged she would run off to the south and meet Caroline's father, a muggleborn wizard, James Carson. By the time Mariana's family got to her she was already pregnant with a child, soon to be called Caroline.
Caroline's own grandmother knew the baby would have to be raised correctly in order to become a proper heir of the Belindez legacy. What a terribly clever woman she was, in only the course of a few weeks Carline fear-mongered her own daughter enough to leave James without another word and in turn secured control over Caroline's life as future heir.
Many years later, when Caroline began to understand exactly how important perfection was, a single moment can come to mind, the moment when she truly understood that perfection wasn't an option in her grandmother's eyes.
It was a simple necessity.
Little Caroline was only five when she made this terrible realization,
being taken care of at a small day-care facility for a few magical children, and just like any other daycare there were the trouble maker children that every other child and caretaker just didn't like at all.

At that specific date, the group of trouble maker children had made the terrible mistake of stealing a caretaker's wand for their own kind of game.
Those children, knowing exactly what they had done was 'bad' ran outside the day care facility and into the sidewalk right outside.
Carol had scene the rascals take the wand and made the terrible decision to follow them outside in hopes of winning back the care taker's wand.and gratitude
The girl was about to heroically shout;
"Get back here!"
When one of children fell back from the blast of an outgoing spell.
Caroline didnt have time to scream for help when the blast of an uncontrolled spell knocked her to the ground and in a state of pain.
An uncle of Carol's was in town that day, how lucky of her to be escorted home with a free lecture of how stupid her decision was.
However, the worst punishment was when Caroline had arrived home to see her grandmother's lethal stare, and suddenly feeling all the guilt she had ever felt before.
The day was a whole fiasco, obliviating nearby no-mag and making sure that no one would be sued or arrested.
"You will never do something like that again."
Ammi said without a singe of hesitation.
"Of course Ammi.."

The knowledge of any relations between Lucille's family and Carol's is hidden away with the Belindez family elders and Lucille's missing grandparents. The two girls have never once met each other, though soon that may change with the upcoming Ilvermorny visit to Hogwarts.
to be clear: the rest of Carol's original backstory is still canon, however, I wanted to change the fact the blood traitors fled to Europe were in fact related to Lucille.
