The Dysfunctional Snakes PV Third Clue closed

Henry stepped out into the courtyard, taking a deep breath in as a breeze circled around the group. The sun shone down from above creating a natural light source to look for the next clue.

As the young teen searched the courtyard his mind started to wander and his anxiety increase, even if touching couldn't tell this by looking at him since he kept all emotions hidden behind a barrier. There was a small smile but he didn't concentrate on keeping it since he never really put thought into showing emotion around the his dorm mates some he liked, others he tolerated, then there was Wyatt Starkey who he hated.

Henry was looking around the fountain as his thoughts spiralled around his mind, making it difficult to focus on finding the parchment that held the next clue.

Hanako figured out the first riddle and Jack figured out the second. I nor Flash haven't figured out one yet, that means I haven't contributed anything to the group and probably seen as a waste of space.

Well Hanako probably views it differently since Loki tagged along, he probably sees me as a waste of space with a cat that makes his allergies act up. How did I not know he was allergic to cats before? We share a dormitory and there ate three cats? Honestly it couldn't have been hard to miss the boyvsneezing.. maybe because I don't spend a lot of time in the dormitory...

Anyway that doesn't matte right now, what does matter is I need to prove my value to the group. I didn't do anything or solve any clues yet, I need to at least solve one to show the others that I'm not a idiot or a failure. The last thing I need is the dormitory knowing exactly what type of failure I am.... and how I don't belong in slytherin or on the Vipers, how most of my spells backfire and how much of a failure and worthless I really am...

Breath... in and out... just breath... you can't have a attack not here and not surrounded by dorm mates. Imagine what they would say if they saw? Imagine what they would think?

"They would think your a failure which you are"


The small familiar voice arrived in Henry's ear causing him to look away, pretending to look for the parchment that held the next clue.

I just need to solve this riddle then they'll see I'm not a failure and won't think anything, that's all I need to do.... alright I can do that... right?

"You'll fail at the clue"

"Just give up before you embarrass yourself"

Henry was peering around a tree at the far end of the courtyard when he saw the three found the parchment with the riddle, he wasn't sure who found it but walk rather briskly back to them.

He would read over the riddle, choosing to stay silent as he mauled over the riddle in his head determined to be the first to solve it this time. As they thought, Loki would jumped down from Jack's shoulder and leave the group.

Unaware to the rest, Loki was going to visit another group for a short time. That group would be the gryffindor group named Lava Lions that contained his friends; Rose, Scarlett, and perhaps Katrina.

Anyway while the orange feline left the group and perhaps brought some relieve to some allergies in the group, the riddle still has to be solve.

Docile and if scared then it will leave... most creatures are generally docile and when scared then they flee maybe it's a creature? Maybe a bowtruckle, their rather docile and definently not a thread and helpful to wizards. After all they can pick locks but there's only one spot at Hogwarts where their known to be and we can't extractly get to it...

A animal that is docile, helpful, skittish, and doesn't pose a threat...

Henry started to recall different magical creatures and see if they fit the description, he was a fan of magical creatures and animal lover so he thought this riddle wasn't that difficult like the ones before. Especially the first one.

You won't find it in a creek... why does that sound familiar.. or odd... you won't find it in a creek and its docile and skittish but also helpful..

"Give up already"

Docile... skittish... helpful... isn't a threat.. won't be in a creek...

It isn't treasure but something skittish and docile... something that can also help you..

"Help you fail? You don't need help with that"

"No matter what you say it will be wrong and perhaps a little childish to"

Can't be found in a creek, docile, skittish, doesn't pose a threat but also helpful... wait a second I know what this is!

"It's the giant squid!" Henry blurted out but then realized the others would probably stare so he took a breath before started to explain, " the riddle is about the giant squid, it's a docile and skittish creature that doesn't pose a threat and can be rather helpful. You can find it in a creek and the peacefulness of the great lake cold be consider treasure," Henry smiled a little to himself glad that he finally solved a riddle and proved his worth to the group even if he still saw himself as a failure.

"Shall we go to the great lake then," Henry asked and started on the path to the great lake which is when he saw Loki walk from the castle corridors and back to the group.

The orange feline would brush up against Jack's legs, clearly glad to see him but only seen glares to Hanako and Flash which meant the feline didn't trust them as Loki climbed up his owner's leg and jump up onto his shoulder.

The orange cat resting as there as Henry smiled toward him and follow his group to the next spot.
