The Cutest Snakes
@Michael Miller @Percival Rainwood @Dan Palmer
Who would have thought that the clue the Cutest Snakes found in the ballroom would only lead them next door? A little inconvenience in Opeila's planning. The rehearsal room was truly the place for show offs- there had even been a talent show in this place, right? Opeila had involuntarily participated in it after a certain housemate apparently found it funny to write her name on the sign-up list, only a few weeks after hurting her.
But it was barely visited, it seemed- were there not so many show offs in Hogwarts after all?- which lowered the chance that the note was found by another student. If the team made it to the room, they would find no one but the portraits on the wall, who were truly good company. Yes, it was them Opeila had dedicated the clue to- Whenever she had looked for privacy in the rehearsal room to practice with her violin, they had been great listeners, applauding, no matter how many mistakes the second year made.
ReducioI do enjoy privacy, I'm happiest alone
But people come visit me, I am well known.
Much company is bad, as that means there is pain
Still they come and they come, again and again.
The third clue was stuck between the edge of one of the portrait frames and the wall.

The Cutest Snakes
With bare feet skidding to a stop, Dan entered the Rehearsal Room. The clue was easy enough to find, and Mike and Percival came soon after he did.
Dan briefly looked at the rehearsal room, and smiled at the portrait people. He truly wished for another talent show, that would be so fun!
But then he remembered that the things he was good at besides River Dancing were not things that one could show off in a talent show. He was good at gaming, FOR SURE. He had beaten every Dark Souls game, he had even gone on to beat Dark Souls 2. Which was not a real souls game, but whatever. He was looking forward to being able to take on Sekiro when he got back to Dingle. Bloodborne was defeated by him, and every boss down. And he'd heard that not only did Demon Souls have a remake now, but that Elden Ring was.... REAL! He could not WAIT for that.
Oh right. He was also good at snowball fights, and Quidditch. In fact, he and his mates in Dingle were the snowball fight team champs. He was also exceptionally good at navigating a forest in bare feet, having had years of practice alongside his muggle friends.
All impressive talents, none of which could be featured in a talent show. Which was unfortunate.
Bringing himself back to the present, he read the clue. He barely had to think for 10 seconds before he figured it out. This was DEFINITELY pointing to the Man Nurse's office in the Hospital Wing.
He probably figured that out so fast because of how familiar with the place he was. He always went to check up on his Quidditch Team members who were knocked off their brooms by people who had the GALL to oppose Slytherin. But it also was likely due to his supreme intelligence.
"Percy, Mic, This one's pointin' us directly to the Hospital wing. Let's get goin', we got a dorm battle to win, don't we?!"
With that, Dan turned on his heel and bolted out the door heading for the Hospital Wing. It was just one floor down, this would also not take very long to reach.
They were on a ROLL with this. It wouldn't be long before they brought home a win. Dan was extremely stoked to win his second dorm battle in a row. GODS he was gonna lord that over Dmitri for AGES.

The Cutest Snakes
Percival frowned looking at the clue as if it were the most interesting thing all day. Who knew he would be able to focus so much on a discarded piece of parchment paper. The boy bit the inside of his cheek as he mulled over the words. This one seemed a bit easier then the previous one. There wasn't exactly many places you could go to experience pain. The boy would continue to mull over the answer for the bit.
"What about the dungeons? he offered up his answer. Though it seemed he was far from correct. In truth, he couldn't help but draw a blank. It was possible he was focusing too much on the pain aspect of things. Maybe he was being blinded by his earlier guess. The boy was not too sure. Percival walked slightly away from the two other boy's. Studying one of the paintings on the wall. It was of a man with cold hard eyes. Who seemed to be glaring down at him specifically.
Percival swallowed thickly as he stared up at the portrait. Before he would turn and walk back towards the group. It was only a painting anyways. Not much it could do to him. Other then judge him harshly, for whatever personal vendetta against him. The boy stopped a few places away from Palmer and Miller. It seemed that the two were still hard at work figuring out this little riddle.
"Any ideas?" he would ask the group. It seemed that Palmer was dead set on a certain location. The Hospital Wing. In truth, he could not help but agree with the other boy. When there was a large group it meant something bad had taken place. Percival nodded with a decisive nod before pointing towards the exit of the rehearsal room. "Alright let's hurry." he said with a somewhat hurried tone The boy would quickly move to the entrance, but would stop upon seeing Miller not leave just as quickly. Percival scoffed before walking back towards the scrawny boy. "Come on Miller. We need to hurry or we are going to lose!" he said in an exasperated tone. Percival would grab the other boy's hand before pulling him forward out of the room.
