Not long after the second group had solved their riddle, Team 3 chewed through their own riddle. Granted, the deductions weren't quite as elaborate as might have been hoped, but sometimes the failing is on the writer for over-thinking something rather simple. Whereas spells could have attributed to any number of schools of magic, or classrooms at that, they had correctly made the assumption that it was charms specifically to which the riddler referred, and so had hastened to their destination in search of their clue.

Evelynn dogged their heels as they went, sticking primarily to the shadows. It was a shame, really, that she hadn't been aware of the strife between two of the team's members. How clever they seemed to think her, deviously pairing the two together for amusement, perhaps; or an exercise to force rivals to collaborate in an effort to foster stronger House ties. Like that would really be Evelynn's M.O... Well, maybe. For now, though, she was content to linger on the peripheries, available to step in and provide assistance, or to intervene if the team's huntings veered them away from the path and into dangerous or out-of-bound territory.

When the girls would arrive at the Charm's classroom, they would be greeted by an envelope pinned to the doorframe that matched the first one they had received in the common room. Once opened, the paper inside would read:
Team #3 — Clue #2
Is it honour, glory, power, or pride?
Whatever that drives you must come from inside.
Bow, draw your wand, count out ten, then begin.
Use your brain and act fast if you want to win.

How does the game work?
We spent a lot of time to create individual paths for every team. The goal of every team is to reach the final location and the team that gets there first wins. But as simply looking who posts there first would hardly be fair, we have thought of another way to determine, which team was the quickest (I will come to that in a second). I will supply every team with one clue at a time. Once you solved it, I will give you the next. You might find that some are easier than others, but I have given some difficult clues to every team, I don't doubt that there will be struggles at a certain point. In that case, you may ask for hints. For the sake of fairness, the Slytherins will have to ask Evelynn, the Gryffindors have to ask Opeila.
We will post a new thread for every single clue. Once those threads are up, you will have to post 700 words- as a team, multiple people together or one single person, I don't care- that include the solution of the riddle. The solution of the riddle is not always a location. You'll need to tell us the solution to the riddle we gave you- just saying a location that could as well be a good guess is not enough.

How is the time calculated?
We only count the time that you guys needed to figure out the riddle. The time between you solving one clue and us giving you the next, as well as the time between you asking for a hint and us replying will be substracted. Differences in timezones or a busy afternoon of a mod are not supposed to be the reason for a team to lose. But to motivate you to try your best with the clue before you ask us for hints, there is a penalty. For every hint you ask for, there will be 12 hours added to your total time as well as another 200 words to write after we give you the hint.

Also please write into every post what team you are in and your wordcount. Otherwise the calculations may take longer than necessary.

Enjoy and good luck!

Team Three |@Everly Charlton and @Tory Williamson
Their route led them to the Charms classroom in hot pursuit of the second clue. The brunette wasn't sure how far ahead the other teams had gotten but as with any competetion, a sense of urgency was needed if they were to be the first one to complete this plethora of puzzles that awaited them. She wondered what awaited them once they got past the final riddle. Galleons? Some secret gift? Bragging rights? To be fair, to Elena, those options didn't sound half as bad to her as they winded through the corridors padding along with her team sticking close to Tory as if afraid she might shove Everly into next week if the girl as much breathed the wrong way. So far, they had managed to maintain a relatively neutral stance though so things were going good. It was apparent the girl could put her head to good use after all, she laughed inwardly at the thought as they rounded a corner and they were presented with the door that led to the classroom within.

The only problem was, they weren't getting in because there was no need to. Another enveloped had been pinned to the door which presumably contained their next riddle. "Let's hope it's an easy one." She would mutter crossing her fingers as one of her hands slithered upwards to break the seal so that Elena could pull out the slip of paper allowing everyone to feast their eyes on the cacaphony of words that made up their little riddle. For one thing, she really had to give credit to whoever had come up with these riddles, they were worded almost too good as her eyes flicked back and forth taking in each line. "Draw your wand and count to ten.." She said out loud jabbing her finger at that particular line as if it rang a bell. Well, it certainly wasn't telling them to hex each other though in Elena's case, she certainly wouldn't have minded as a few names came to mind. Act fast, use your brain, there were a lot of situations where Elena had to put that to reality unforunately.

"Okay, so it's either talking about like a contest or something? Somewhere where you have to be quick and stuff if you want to win?" At first, Quidditch crossed her mind but that wouldn't make sense because wands had no correlation to flying broomsticks as her eyes shot back to the whole speal about bowing and stuff and that was when it hit her. "The dueling room." Elena said almost automatically nodding at the line before turning to face the others. "It's what they do before dueling each other, you bow, draw your wand and count to ten before beginning the duel." She was pretty sure it was in that order as well but Elena could think of nothing more as obvious. As for the whole reputation and glory ramble, it was basically bragging rights that you got by winning duels and the Gryffindor could see how that made sense. There was nothing else in her mind that could stand out so perfectly. "It's basically described to you in the third line."

Everly, Elena, and Tory headed directly towards the Charms classroom on the third floor after reading their first clue, in hot pursuit after their next clue. Everly felt energized and ready - this was fun, if not for the fact she was on a team with someone whom she disliked far too much, but other than that, Everly found this hunt quite enjoyable.

Team Three was greeted by a friendly-looking envelope, attached to the doorframe. It looked similar enough to their first clue that Everly was convinced they'd gotten it correctly on their first try. Elena reached it first and she held it up, allowing Everly and Tory to read the words on the slip of paper. Like the first, Everly read it three times, trying to focus on what the clue was directing them towards. She couldn't be sure whether to pay attention to the word choice, or the positioning, or the letters, or anything. Draw your wand and count to ten, the older Gryffindor pointed out. The clue mentioned the usage of your wand, so something involved with spells, Everly assumed. And in circumstances where you required your wand - not just in classes and lessons, but also in -

"Yes! Exactly! The dueling club. Of course." Everly nodded, miming the action, performing a tiny little bow. "Since, yeah, it's what people do before a formal duel. The dueling club makes the most sense; let's head there."

Tory barely remembered signing up for this scavenger hunt, or why she had at all, but somehow she had followed this wild goose chase of a game to the charms classroom, along with her teammates, Elena and Everly. They had come in hot pursuit one they had figured it out, which the girl honestly didn’t mind, this was a way to show off her more competitive, quite ambitious side. There seemed to be a clear disliked tension between the two fellow members of team number three, and Tory felt constantly throughout this activity as though she were interrupting a rivalry, but oh well, it was what it was. Thankfully, they hadn’t bickered at all, so that was something, and they had already managed to get to the second clue. At this rate, they were on the track to win, or so Tory hoped. She had never done something like this, let alone win, and it would be amazing glorious to be the first to get all of the clues.

The trio was welcomed to the classroom (they had sprinted there so fast that Tory had ended up arriving last, as she wasn’t very athletic) by an envelope stuck to the door. After reading it for the very first time, the Gryffindor mostly listened to her teammates ideas, thinking to herself instead of widely sharing her ideas. Immediately, she thought about a sport of some sorts, hence the line “ Use your brain and act fast if you want to win.”, which made her think of quidditch, as she knew it was awfully competitive, but her idea was quickly shut down once the oldest of the three girls mentioned the third line, which talked about drawing your wand. She hadn’t really thought about that one, and mant more thoughts ran through her head, until she finally decided that it pretty much written in bold that the answer was the duelling club.

To the whole group it was now quite clear what the answer was, and it was obvious that it had all clicked in their heads pretty fast. “Agreed. I mean, the dueling club has to be correct, it only makes sense.” Tory added to the discussion, the sides of her mouth tweaking up into a small, unrecognizable smile at the 3’s cleverness. Both of their clues had been overall easy to them so far, and she was wondering if there would be any harder ones. Probably she thought to herself, following suite after the others as they all made their way to the dueling club, ready for their next clue.
