Flowery Message Errand Closed

Carolyn wasn’t doing so well recently. She didn’t like the hot summer air and for the first time in her life, she also wasn’t looking forward to going home. Her parents didn’t write her, which meant her maternal grandmother still lurked around and she had no news from her paternal grandma either. Sure, she still wanted to see her parents, Morgana and wanted to check up on her grandparents in hospital yet the dread made her want to turn around and run away. The witch really needed something to keep her mind occupied. She already practiced ballet and tried to sit down and draw something but to no avail. She was constantly getting distracted. And that was precisely why she decided to visit her favorite spot on the campgrounds today. “Come on Mordred. Let’s take a walk and do some proper work.” Carolyn invited her feline friend, who was only happy to oblige.

The young Ravenclaw got dressed in an old white T-shirt, light blue shirt to protect herself from sunburn and an old pair of shorts. After that, she put a good amount of sunscreen on her face and grabbed a straw hat for further protection. Damn her mother and her porcelain skin, why was that the one thing she had to inherit from her? Finally ready, the girl left the tower and directed her steps towards a familiar area at the campgrounds. She often visited said location when she wanted to paint or when she needed some peace and quiet to think. The space was surrounded by bushes and simply perfect to fit exactly one or two people at most. It was cozy but still had a nice view so she could see any activity going on at the campgrounds and she could potentially sketch her surroundings. Until today, Carolyn thought the place was perfect as it was but now she realized it could use some flowers. Their Grounds Keeper invited all students to adjust the grounds as they liked and it would be shame not to use the opportunity. She already had an idea what she wanted to do and while it was going to be a lot of work, she was willing to do it. Perhaps it would have been better if she asked someone to help but she honestly didn’t know who. Her plan was very specific and the only person that came to mind was Aaron, who she didn’t know THAT well. She enjoyed talking to him and felt oddly comfortable around the boy but she didn’t dare to ask him for help. Especially since it would be somewhat personal project. He is probably busy with more important stuff anyway.

Gathering her tools, the Ravenclaw ushered her cat towards the chosen spot. “You can go and play but be good, okay?” She warned her furry friend before kneeling down and getting to work. She was not going to dig up a huge amount of soil messily but rather create shapes to be filled with flowers. What kind, Carolyn didn’t particularly care, she just hoped whatever Eliseo chose would keep the shapes as it was supposed to be. The shapes that were actually going to be Korean letters. A short message of comfort for herself and anyone who might pass by and understand them. It would take a lot of effort and time before she was done with the digging and her holes spelled the phrase 괜찮아. In Korean language this basically means You are okay/It’s okay. Thank god for her grandma, who liked to force Carolyn help with the gardening occasionally. This meant she had at least some idea about what she was doing. The girl in question was dirty and sweaty all over but she felt good. She was exhausted for sure, however the exhaustion was welcome and it came from a work well done. If that was the case, she was happy to have some sore muscles or uncomfortable back pain for couple more days to come.
