Amelia Breakwater - First Year - Slytherin

HISTORY

Having been born the only child to a wealthy pure-blood family, Amelia grew up with someone accompanying her at every step of her childhood. She doesn't want to be treated like a crippled baby anymore, and is looking to find independence at Hogwarts. Her friends before Hogwarts were few and far between, as she is difficult to approach, and doesn't go out of her way to interact with people, either.

Amelia's parents have high expectations for her, but also, in Amelia's words, "treat her like a baby". They are very involved in her life, and contact her through letters often when she is away from home.

Amelia's parents do not have impressive ancestry to speak of, and they earned their wealth through business. Thus, Amelia was brought up with the values of not spending abundantly, and not to waste resources on anything undeserving - whether it be a business idea, or a potential ally.

Amelia's first instance of accidental magic was when she was seven years old, in which she made orange leaves fall from trees in the middle of Spring.
