Personality

Juliet has a very unique personality. She is Driven, determined, and ambitious with very high goals. But she is also a very sweet, soft-spoken, kind girl who cares (sometimes too much) about everyone that she meets. She also struggles with very bad social anxiety and doesn’t want to live with no friends but also has trouble trusting people. And she worries about everything that she says and does which creates a boundary preventing her from being outgoing and making everyone her friend. She has a lot of trouble interacting with people, is simply very awkward, and is constantly overthinking things and wondering if people are judging her. She has dealt with mental issues in the past and really hopes that Hogwarts can be a new start for her. (Note: I will handle any mental illness that I choose to portray in a mature, careful, and empathetic way. I would never want to make anyone who is sensitive to these subjects uncomfortable or offend them.)

Life Before Hogwarts

Juliet was born a pure-blood witch into a family of 5. She has spent her entire life living in a large house in London, England. Both of her parents work in the Ministry of Magic, her father works as an Auror and her mother works in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Therefore, she grew up in a fairly wealthy family and never had many issues.But she did have many, many, many arguments and small tiffs with her older brother Daniel. One of his favorite things to do is tease Juliet. And one day this teasing led to something more.

It was a rather normal day and Daniel was teasing Juliet as usual. Juliet can keep herself calm on most occasions but in this particular situation, she lost it. She overreacted a bit and accidentally caused water to spray all over her brother and his brand new robes. He was absolutely livid. But this was in fact, Juliet’s first sign of magic.

Life During First Year

Juliet started off her year lonely and scared that she wouldn’t be able to make any friends at all and spend the entire year alone. This proved wrong very quickly. She was a couple friends on the Hogwarts Express and enjoyed her time on the train. Then she was taken across the lake on boats as per the Hogwarts tradition. Along with all the first years she nervously made her way into the Great Hall for the sorting. Juliet was extremely scared that she would not be sorted into Ravenclaw like every single person in her family had been before her. Finally, it was her turn to put on the hat and be sorted into her house. Juliet stepped up, sat down on the stool, and the hate was placed gently on her head. At first the hat spoke some gibberish that Juliet didn’t fully understand and then the sorting hat made its decision, Juliet had been sorted into Slytherin. She was scared that she would have failed her parents but decided to make the best of it and take pride in being a Slytherin.

Once in the common room she made some acquaintances and slowly made friends over the course of the year. She spent most of her time in the library though. That was the one thing that she could always rely on being there for her, the library. It was by far her favorite place in the massive school and she made a couple memorable friends there as well.
