Dear, Violet Carrington
You make me Petrificus Totalus when I saw you
You are like Tarantallegra,
My heart dances uncontrollably whenever you’re around
Whenever I look in your eyes,
My surrounding goes Silencio!
You are the Core of my Wand
The Hog to my Warts
The Defence against my Dark Arts
The Elixir of my life
But I Expecto Violet Carrington to be my date to the blossom ball
Eternal Love, Rodion

Roses are red, Violet is my date
/!\ ! ! ! ! Cringe Alert ! ! ! ! /!\
The Great Hall was noisy with the usual chatter that reigned most morning while the students were eating their pudding. Violet could hear some of the people on her left and right talking about the upcoming blossom ball. She wasn't expecting anyone to ask her as a date due to her personality and small ammount of friends. Not that she wanted a date. She had a bit of high hopes the other day when she bumped into this Russian guy in the courtyard, but she had barely met him for like, 3 minutes, it was not like he was going to ask her to go with him without even knowing her one bit.
As usual, when she finished eating her breakfast the owl post was now going to soar through the Great Hall to drop the owls that they had in their claws to their recipients. Violet was expecting two owls that day, one from her parents, one from her subscriptions to the daily prophet, but nothing else. She was surprised to see a second owl drop a envelope on her plate after the two first ones. Piqued with curiosity, she quickly opened it, and drew out the parchement from the envelope and unfolded it. She started to read, and whn she saw who had sent her the owl, her eyes widened. Rodion....yes, that sounded familiar. When she did remember who it was, she almost wanted to crumple the letter and throw it away. She was unsure whether she wanted to go with someone that had literally bumped into her.
She decided to ponder this later~ first, she had to look at her other letters. She gave the owl from the daily prophet a few sickles (or knuts, idk how much a newspaper costs :p), and opened up her parents letter.
It was clearly her mothers elegant handwriting. She was happy to see that her mother was writing instead of her more strict father, so she read the letter quickly and eagerly. She was sad to see that it only talked about her needing to get a partner to the blossom ball, no matter the blood status or house. Well, it seemed like Violet had to accept Rodion's invitation after all. She had to admit, he did make her blush that other day in the courtyard...and she had been the one to bump into him in the first place, right? With a sigh, she crossed both ''Yes'' and sent the letter back to Rodion with a tiny smile.
