Classes were finally over for the day, and Nikolai couldn't be more relieved. However, he was almost always relieved when the day's classes came to an end. He was never great with school, but at least he always managed to get decent grades. Next, he made his way to the Great Hall.

During their free time before dinner, Nikolai and Finnley made it a tradition to meet in the Great Hall to catch up with each other and, despite Nikolai's protests, to make more friends. It wasn't that Niko hated people or hated having friends, he just wasn't used to it with how hectic his life was at home. He had a few friends here and there, but nothing long-term, so before Hogwarts, friends were never a major aspect of his life that he would worry about.

As Niko walked into the Great Hall, he scanned the Hufflepuff table for the cheery boy. Spotting him very quickly, as his presence was hard to miss, Nikolai walked over, holding the shoulder strap of his bookbag. Niko slid into the seat next to Finnley and set his bookbag on the table. "Hey Finn, what's up?" He asked as he stretched his arms out in front of him, needing a good stretching out after a whole day of sitting in classrooms.
