History/Background: Nova has grown up in Manchester England alongside her mother, father and four siblings. Her life has been full of whimsical teachings and a natural style of herbal living. Her mother is a holistic healer with a shop of her own and her father a writer. He is published and most of his books consist of poetry and written enchantments, which he passes off by referring to them as “charming letters”. Her time is spent with her two older siblings. They tend the herb gardens when not in school, it’s both a hobby and assigned chores this point. She also takes every Thursday and Wednesday evening to go through a karate class her father signed her and her younger sister Taleighya up for. Though her home life is pretty decent, at school is a bit different. Nova is a hard studier, and well mannered student. Despite her politeness and standoffish presence, she has a difficult time here. The students tell her how she smells overwhelmingly of peppermint and jasmine, or sage and lemon- which apparently isn’t something appealing all the time. It has been rumored the mint and lemon have at times made children’s eyes water. Once upon a situation like this, Nova was very sensitive to the subject and found herself emotionally defending herself and the smells“I mean, I understand, my eyes water too, sometimes, but that’s just from the natural herb scent! I can’t change that, and it’s not even that unpleasant.. My mom says they’re good for clearing stuffy noses and I like it!” She is bullied for her choice in clothing by a chubby pig tailed girl named Sally, and though she understands not everybody will like her, it still hurts when she says her dresses are ‘too old fashioned’. Though school is a tough time, back at home is her closest friend. Her older brother Oliver is a delight and often times helps cheer her gloomy days with fun teas and light hearted pranks on the other three siblings.
