Man, it's freezing!
Hanzalah sat alone in the empty stadium, whilst the rain poured on. He enjoyed water, whether rainwater, seawater or freshwater. It helped him clear his mind and think.
Two weeks he'd been at Hogwarts, and he still hadn't found a friend. Sometimes he thought the Sorting Hat had got it wrong. Whilst the other Ravenclaws liked to bury themselves in a book, Hanzalah usually put his 'wisdom' to another task. As a Muggle-born, ever since the age of four, he had been obsessed with tinkering, taking a machine apart to see how it worked, and then putting it together again. He'd never done that with a real life-size machine, but he'd like to. Before he discovered he was a wizard, he'd wanted to become a mechanic, or an engineer. He'd even brought his own bag of nuts and bolts to keep himself occupied.
Now, as Hanzalah pulled out his bag, memories struck his heart like a dagger. He was painfully reminded of his home back in Saltaire, with his primary friends, like Albie. Especially Albie. Now he was alone, a stranger yet again in an alien world full of alien people. He hadn't felt this bad since he moved from Ashton.
The distinct sound of footsteps jolted Hanzalah back to reality with a SNAP! That was a twig breaking. He stood up and pulled his wand out. " Who's there?" he called into the darkness, pulling his wand out. A figure stepped out of the shadows...

We all have ups and downs in life. But the trick is to just keep going. You haven’t lost the fight until you’ve lost hope.
