Barbie Said What?

( INTERACTION: @VIVIAN SEOIGH ) ー
It really didn't take much to unnerve Arista Elderman; the Sorting Ceremony, thoughts of magical exams and fitting in with the rest of witches and wizards at Hogwarts, the immense pressure to live up to her brother and sister's reputation... all of these had of course gotten into her poor, tiny head, and she'd be lying if she said it hadn't affected her days at school. She had felt a little jumpier now, just slightly more timid than she had been when she attended her Muggle private school back home.
She supposed it was because she knew Muggle school was temporary. There was no urgency to make friends or excel there, so she just largely breezed through her couple of years there easily. But here, in Hogwarts? Arista knew she had to step it up: the entirety of her magic adult life depended on how she was doing here, after all.
And so, when a particularly charming witch had slid in to her compartment at the Express, she couldn't help but feel... envious? Inspired? Arista couldn't quite place what this feeling was, but she instantly decided that she must talk more to this attractive blonde when they arrived at Hogwarts.
The attractive witch reminded Arista so much of her sister, Amara Elderman: they both had an ease to their demeanor where people couldn't help but stare and watch. They were beautiful, they were captivating, and most importantly, they were what she aspired to be, more than anything. Well, perhaps not the full extent of their charm and confidence - Arista understood that it wasn't in her DNA to be so effortlessly poised like that, but maybe... just one or two drops of it would do.
After all, the way that she was now, Arista doubted that anyone could trace the blood connection between her and Amara. Her robe was a little too loose for her fit; she walked in tiny quick steps, as if desperate to escape everyone's line of sight; and her hair and face were kept bare at all times. She desperately needed help from someone like Vivi to elevate her standing a little.
Determined to evolve to a more refined witch at her new school, Arista sent an owl to Vivian in the wee morning yesterday. It had said:She had held her breath when the owl flew away to deliver her letter, hoping the words would appeal to Vivi's more, ah, charitable side. If Vivi's anything like her sister, she would never say no to an offer for a makeover!Dear Vivian,
Hullo. This is Arista Elderman; we were on the same compartment at the Hogwarts Express!
The reason I'm writing this is because I really thought you have the loveliest make up and the most beautiful style I've ever seen. Would you mind maybe to tutor me how to achieve such pretty looks?
If it's all right with you, I'll be waiting at the Abandoned Toilets tomorrow noon at 5pm - just after classes end!
Hope to see you there.
Warmest regards,
Jumping to seat herself in one of the Abandoned Toilet's non-working sink countertop, she swayed her dangling feet slightly. She eyed the door with anticipation. With nothing else to do, Arista listened to her hammering heart and waited.

Barbie Said What?
@Arista Elderman
Vivian was just applying fake-tan with a sock when she noticed an owl swooping in. It was from that girl from the compartment, Arista. What a sweetie. She'd even given Vivian one of those chocolate frog thingies, even though amphibians and chocolate should never be mixed, as everybody ought to know.
As soon as Vivian read the letter, she knew she had to help this chick out. I mean, she just had to. Whoever said she only cared about herself? Fact-check--style should be universal, and Vivian Seoigh knew it.
When the time came, she hurtled down to the Abandoned Bathrooms as fast as she could. If Arista really wanted to be a style icon, that would be the first thing they needed to fix. There was no issue about them meeting in a bathroom. Everybody knew girls flocked to bathrooms like flies to light or clout-chasers to LA. But abandoned bathrooms? Nuh-uh, sis. Anything left abandoned in general, but especially in an oversized dungeon like this castle, would be rank, gross and smelly.
When she arrived, she saw Arista was already there, sitting on the sink. 'Babes!' Vivian cried out in greeting. 'I'm here to help! It's like Doctors Without Borders, but instead it's Friends Without... like, whatever, you get what I'm saying. Just off the bat, I'm so excited for this. It's going to be such a blast. You're gorgeous, you're sweet and by the time I'm done with you everyone's going to love you more than Carole Baskin loves her tigers.'
god loves ugly. barbie doesn't.
