Maybe Some New Friends?
Alina waved through a random window to her parents and younger siblings, Drew and Dalia. She was so excited to finally go to Hogwarts. Once Alina's parents were out of sight, she started to aimlessly walk around the train, hoping to find a compartment and maybe some new friends. Unfortunately, Liam, Luke, and her own twin sister, Aimee, had wandered off to go find their own friends and compartments. As she was walking around, she paused, and realized a few things.
1- She had no idea where she was going.
2- She was completely alone right now.
3- She had absolutely no friends to help her.
She started walking again, trying to keep the negative thoughts out, and think about everything possible that was positive. Soon enough, Alina finally found an empty compartment. She entered the compartment and took the seat in the corner by the window. She looked at the beautiful scenery speeding by. After a while of looking outside of the window, she decided to grab one of her books she had purchased as Flourish and Blotts for the upcoming school year. Soon enough, Alina's full attention was on the book, and everything and everyone around her was tuned out.

Maybe Some New Friends?
Alex looked out the window at London, which the Hogwarts Express was quickly leaving. She studied the scenery for about 5 minutes, then turned to her twin sister, Amy. Amy was reading her favorite book, "A History of Magic" by Bathilda Bagshot. She was paying no attention whatsover to the scenery around her, instead contentedly eating Chocolate Frogs and reading. Alex sighed quietly--her sister didn't like to be bothered while reading. Alex slid the compartment door open and walked out of the compartment, hoping to maybe find some new friends. She was already on the next car when she realized that she'd forgotten to close the compartment door. Alex was sure to face her sister's fury if somebody walked into their compartment and disrupted Amy's reading. Well, she didn't want to go back now. Alex kept walking, occasionally pausing to look inside compartments. Each had people inside, chatting, laughing, and eating. Each time Alex met a compartment that was full of the aforementioned people, she kept walking. Finally, she found a compartment that was empty except for a girl that looked about the same age as her. Alex hesitated, seeing that the girl was reading. Would the girl want privacy? Or maybe she'd talk to Alex? Alex usually went with the flow--she liked going out and making friends. However, past experience taught her that usually when people read, they liked privacy and quiet (Yes, she was talking about Amy). Alex decided to stop thinking and go inside. She could always exit if things went wrong. But, maybe this girl could be her new friend. So, Alex entered the compartment.

Maybe Some New Friends?
Alina heard the door to the compartment open faintly. Maybe it was Aimee, or Liam, or Luke. She looked up from her book and realized that it was not one of her own siblings, but someone she didn't even know. Alina started to study the girl and try and figure out a few thing about her without asking. The girl was slender and had fair skin. On her face there were a few freckles. The girls eyes were a shade of green that looked like a pine tree and her long, chocolate colored hair had some caramel highlights. Around her neck was a simple silver pendant. The only thing that Alina could figure out about the girl was that she too looked utterly lost until she had found her compartment. Every possible bad thought came into her head. What if the new girl didn't like her? What if she were to be getting her first enemy? No- the only reasons why the new girl would come in here is because there is no where else to sit, or that she wanted to make a new friend. Alina doesn't do well with making new friends, considering the fact that she is very shy. Finally, Alina gathered all the courage she could muster to speak up and introduce herself.
"Hello, I'm Alina Silvers. Who are you?" she had said, cringing a bit afterwards at how rude the second sentence had sounded.

Maybe Some New Friends?
Alex smiled. The girl--Alina Silvers, to be exact--was friendly and not angry. Good. Whew. Alex felt like she was missing something though. What? Right then, her mental voice kicked in. Answer the question, duh! Right. "Hi, I'm Alex Evans. Nice to meet you." Alina Silvers seemed nice enough. She probably lived in England--Silvers wasn't exactly a Irish name. Maybe she'd be willing to let Alex stay in her compartment. Maybe Amy would come here too--Alex's sister was an expert at finding out where Alex was. Alex studied Alina. Alina had brown hair and grey blue eyes. She was rather on the short side for an eleven-year-old. Alina also had a slightly tired look in her eyes, as if she had either lots of siblings or lots of chores and tasks. She also had a slightly bubbly look in her eyes, excited even. Alex knew that because that was the look she got in her eyes when she was going hiking. Alina had a book out, which probably meant that she was either bored or was a bookworm, like Amy. Huh. Maybe she should go get her sister. Unless Amy was sneaking up behind her, trying to get revenge, and Alina didn't notice. That happened occasionally at home with her mother. Alex decided to ask to stay in the compartment, then go fetch her sister, who, at any rate, would be both mad and pleased. "Hey, can my sister and I stay here? I'll go get her." Alex said. Then she felt a sense of dread settle upon her when Alina tilted her head to the side to look at something behind Alex. Alex turned around to see a furious Amy. "Um, hi, Amy," Alex peeped nervously.
