As soon as Rachel heard from the rehearsal room, she needed to see it for herself. Maybe it would be a great place to practice playing Violin. Even though she couldn't take lessons anymore, she loved the instument too much to ever completely stop. So she was just going to play the things she knows how to do so far and if the rehearsal room was to become her new 'practice' room, she might be able to learn new pieces as well.
She quickly ran to the Hufflepuff common room and into the girls dormitory to grab the violin, she always took with her, no matter where she went. She took the instument out of her suitcase and made her way to the rehearsal room and entered.
It was a huge room and a decorative chandelier was hanging down from the middle of the room, illuminating the entire room, but also not too bright. Only of walking around, Rachel could tell the acoustics in here were amazing. She couldn't wait to play! She walked to some random spot in the room, set down the Violin case and opened it, revealing a slightly stuffy and wooden smell of the violin. She took out her shoulder rest and uncovered the violin. She wasn't big enough for the full 4/4 violin, so her's was only 3/4, but as soon as she was big enough, she knew she was going to buy herself a 4/4. She took it out and set the shoulder rest to the correct place. Then she took out the bow and tightened it until there was enough space between the hair and wooden part to put a pencil through.
Walking to the middle of the room, she set the violin on her shoulder and played the A-string to start to tune it. Just as expected, the acoustics were amazing. She tuned the rest of the strings and started with some simple warm up exercises. After a while of bow and fingering excercises, she went over to the most fun part: actually playing. From the moment she stepped into this room, she knew what she was going to play: Something just like this by The Cainsmokers & Coldplay.
She took a breath and closed her eyes as she was playing and forgot everything around her. When she was playing Violin, she was truly at peace. No one to worry about or annoying her, just herself and the music. It was always magical and she enjoyed every second of it. Part of her even wished it never came to an end, but just like with every song she's played before that one needed to come to an end as well and she opened her eyes again.
AN: This is the song Rachel's playing

Not very far away the strangest kid of Hufflepuff was walking around, holding a book close to his chest, exploring the castle wasn't exactly something Aldor would do, but this time he just felt the need to learn about the place. Not being popular or known gave him the chance to spend time on his own and enjoy his books in a better way, the dorms were a terrible place to read since most of the students spent their free time there.
He kept walking along the halls of the castle, getting to the Rehearsal Room, he decided he would read there, there was nothing planned there as far as he concerned. Before he even went in, he heard someone was already there, playing a song that was familiar to him, it was funny, he has a while of not listening to it, but he knew it was popular, he never heard it being played on a violin before, which made him even more curious.
His shy natured made him want to back away, but the music was almost hipnotizing, so he decided to sit by the entrance, listening quietly. He enjoyed all types of music, but lately he has been so focused on his books that he wasn't really giving a chance to let music back into his life. He was impressed by the skills of whoever was in the other side, it was amazing to hear how people can play songs in something as complex as a violin.
The Hufflepuff boy closed his eyes, enjoying the music as much as possible, not realizing the artist would soon be finished with the song, so he just sat there, inmersed so much by the wonderful sounds that came from the instrument, that he would just stay there thinking about it even when the artists had finished playing. There truly was people who made their instruments an extension of their body, he has never achieved this. He knew the basics of how to play bassically any instrument you can imagine on an orchestra, but he has never taken that knowledge acquired in books and used it in reality.
