Great Maze - Silens Fax
This would serve as the start of their adventure. A hedge maze that towered over her, walls of green that blocked her view. She was partnered up with Mariah Menstil, Celynne Flores and Kaegen Deathmote. she did not know any of them prior to this interaction, she was not entirely certain how she ended up with them.
She would stand at the entry-point into the maze and she would look at her cohorts. They had three choices: East, West and Northwest. The goat was in the heart of the maze. This was, for the moment a game of probability. There was no logical way to determine where the goat had wandered, only that the goat was lose in the maze. However there was a single thread of logic that she could utilize at this point as she strained her ears to listen not that she expected to hear the goat so early. Her gaze burned into the Northwestern path, why because the choices were to the left and the right as they entered, this would bring them along the outer edge of the maze as they were only entering. The logical choice would be to choice the North, to delve deeper into the maze.
She might be a paranoid girl, she was simply built that way. They were not intended to randomly wander this maze, that would be nonsensical as this is an academic institution. There needed to be a purpose. There was no purpose with random chance, victory being determined by a flip of a coin. It was conceivable and if that was indeed the case then her analysis would not hurt their chances in the least because there was nothing more that they could do besides walk.
"I think that we should take the Northwest path," Erin announced. "We should try to get deeper into the maze, from there we might hear the goat or find some other evidence... like poop." She frowned with the thought of tracking the goat by its dung.
The real question was: how did they plan on catching the goat?

I am deferring the choice to the other members of the team. My path choice will be editted to reflect their ultimate choice.
Present path: Northwest.

Cel turned her gaze up at the massive green hedges of the maze, wondering if it was allowed to just climb over the walls.
Yeah, probably not.
She did a sweep of the surrounding area, looking for anything that might not be just those three choices-- Northwest, East, or West-- but nothing seemed to jump out at her.
"Wait," she objected. "Are we sure that the goat is in the center of the maze? I mean, it's probably at least near the center, but it's alive. It moves. And I'm pretty sure that goats can move quickly." The girl looked down each path's direction. Nothing but grass and hedges. Ugh. "Well, I guess that doesn't really matter," she sighed. "Right now it's kind of a blind guess, at least until we find something we could use."
Quite honestly, she was feeling a bit hopeless. Perhaps if they kept walking-- or at least had something to do besides sit and talk on the grass-- they would actually encounter something. Wait. Grass.
"Wait," the girl thought aloud. "The grass. Goats eat grass, right?" Not quite waiting or even listening for an answer, she looked down at the blades of green plant dotting the Grounds. Unfortunately, they seemed pretty even on all three paths, and she sighed. "Never mind, that doesn't work either. I guess Northwest would work-- even if the goat isn't in the center it might be near the center. If we run-- not a sprint, and Kae has to slow down so we can keep up-- we might be able to catch it before it gets too far away." Cel turned to the other two teammates.
"What do you guys think?"
Yeah, probably not.

He didn't honestly care in which direction they went. Goats moved wherever they pleased. The maze would have to be full of entirely different terrains if they were going to have any chance of actually finding the thing. It was a maze, you couldn't plan a maze. If you were trying to find a moving point, you just had to trust luck. There were ways to kind of help along luck, however. Catching this thing was going to be easy. As he walked with the group his hand snatched up any clover he could find along the path, just the flowers. Goats loved clover, everything loved clover. If the breeze was right they might even get the creature to come to them, although that did seem rather unlikely. His eyes darted around, trying to look at everything at the same time. He tried to keep all of his team mates the maze and the details of the maze in his line of sight at all times. He wasn't doing a very good job of seeing everything at the same time, but not very much escaped his eyes. He wasn't entirely convinced that this maze wasn't a gigantic trap. There was a way to send him or someone else over the top of the maze, but that would probably end up with disqualification or something equally unsavory.
ACTION: Follow group and pick clover

Mariah nodded as Cel spoke, agreeing. Maybe if the goat wandered about, it would still stay close enough to the center if they kept at a good pace. Mariah wasn't too keen on the maze, personally. She didn't like not knowing where she was going but she was soothed in the reminder that the Professors would hardly send a group of eleven year olds into anything that might be dangerous and life threatening. Besides, she had a group of talented students with her and if anything were to happen, she was sure they had the brain power and magic to handle it together. Rather than voice any of this uncertainty, she looked about her, taking in the large hedge walls and listeninf for any sort of clue that would point them in the right direction. When there was nothing that gave them any sort of clue, Mariah shrugged and allowed her self led by the group for the time being.

One step after another, your team is heading northwest in the maze. Taking in the green hedges and breezy wind, the hedges seem to begin to bloom more and more with flowers and buds. The hedges become prettier the further you venture towards the northwest path of the maze. Strange. Perhaps it is the right way to go as increased growth is happening towards the direction. As you walk further and further down the path, you realize that not only are there more flowers, but there are many more bumblebees. Luckily, they were cast not to attack and only be idle among their flowers. You keep going, past the bumblebees and towards what finally seemed like a dead end of the maze. Oh no! Your team turns around and you now walk past the flowers and bumblebees and decide on a new path.
You must choose East or West from the entrance now. Teams cannot split up.

"Bad luck," Cel sighed as they met the towering dead end. The hedges were beautiful, becoming more vibrant, more colorful, but none of that discouraged the disappointment she received as they came up against the wall.
"At least we got one path eliminated," she pointed out halfheartedly, trying to lift her spirit. As usual, it didn't work. I suck at optimism. Cynic at heart. "Kaegen, are those clovers?" the girl inquired. Maybe to lure the goat, but are we sure goats can smell clovers from that far away? Instead, she asked, "What are they for? Oh well, they probably won't help us as of now. Right now, we need to decide on a path." Cel cast her eyes upwards warily, a little anxiously. "As fast as possible, if the other teams are progressing too. We shouldn't linger for too long without moving, I think."
"It's still pretty random from here, right? Unless we saw anything different, some kind of clue or pointer..."
She scanned the East and West paths, squinting to see if she could distinguish anything different from when they last left. After all, if there was a change, then perhaps something had walked by...? Any clue was helpful... probably. Well, anything different, anyway.
