Dear Dad and Gran,

So, I'm a Gryffindor. Wild, right? The Hat kept on asking me questions and got answers even before I formed them, and it was over so fast... I'm quite happy with my House, everyone's really nice, even the older students. I'm still getting to grips with the school, I mean, are all those stairs really necessary? Dad, you made it sound like it was so much fun, riding the staircases from one floor to another, but all I get is grief. I've been late to class twice! And almost missed curfew because I couldn't find the Fat Lady among all those millions of paintings. I mean, it's fun during the weekend when I have time to explore, but really, the school could be a bit more considerate during the week days.

How's Gran? Oh, by the way, can you send me that book catalog you always have on your table? I want to pick something interesting as a gift for her. Or a muggle book? I don't know, I will think about it.

Oh, and remind Gran that she owes me a dragon. A bet is a bet.

Love,
Clara

Dearest Clara,

I am overjoyed with you being sorted into Gryffindor! Mother was somewhat cross, but mostly because of that dragon deal. Seriously, you two... can you settle on another horse, dear? It will be rather troublesome to find a place to keep even a small dragon.

I have sent you the aforementioned catalog, I hope you find something of interest. Or, rather, of interest to mother. I'm thinking of getting her a week away in one of those resorts where women get pampered and dotted upon. What do you think, would she like that?

I already can't wait to see you at Christmas.

Love,
Dad

Hi dad!

Thanks for the catalog, I think I might get her a beginners guide for dragon keeping. Somebody will need to look after Binky while I'm away at school.

Oh, that sounds like an amazing idea, dad! I'm sure she will love a whole week where someone fusses over her. I saw in the Witch Weekly that they just reopened the resort in Bath, pictures looked out of this world! They have like a hundred different sauna rooms, beauty treatments and something called an ''cryotherapy'', whatever that is.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by not having space for a dragon, but enough for a horse. However, I've come to a conclusion that owning a dragon is probably not a smart idea. I remember what the man at the reservoir said, that dragons need to be with their own kind. Just like horses. So, I've decided to withdraw my claim, unless I get at least two dragons straight away. We could even have a little sanctuary of our own! How cool would that be?!

Think about it,
Clara
