Michael hummed as he walked down the streets of Diagon Ally, his pocket full of money. He was supposed to get the things he needed for school, extra quills, more books, another roll of parchment paper, but his mind was on Magical Menageries, and the sign that read 'Silver Siberian Kittens inside'.

"Michael, we're not supposed to get a pet, we need new robes!" His young sister said, the eldest one of the bunch. Michael just kept walking.

He quickly made his way through the crowd around each store, and into the one he wanted to be in. There were owls, frogs, spiders, even snakes, but his eyes were on the kittens there. He smiled as he looked over them, they were small as they were under 3 months old, but some, he could tell, had some fire to them.

There was one, that was watching over them all, with the older cats, he smiled as he saw her. She was beautiful and he knew that he had to get her. He walked up, and got her, the kitten letting him pick her up without worry. His sister watched from the door arms crossed and face in a scowl.

Then he walked over to the counter, smiling at the old witch behind it, she had white hair, he liked that. "I want her," he said, as he held up the kitten, which looked from him to the woman. The woman smiled, "Ah Silver Siberians are very good pets, very fluffy too. Any name for the young feline?" She asked as he got out his coins. "Oh, well .. .I'm thinking-" but before the young man could get his words out, the young cat yelled out, as it was walking on the counter and had hurt its paw. "Alala," he said. The woman smiled, and a laugh was heard from behind him.

A man walked to them, "Alala, for the battle cry?" He asked and the young Slytherin boy nodded. The witch smiled and picked up the cat, handing it back to the boy as she got the coins. All 15 of them, as the was 15 galleons. He held his cat, yes his, and only his. His sister was still upset but seemed to get happier the closer the small cat got to her. Michael smiled, as his cat looked over to the girl. "Do you think ignoring the rules are worth it?" His sister asked.

"Totally worth it" He replied.
