Distracted Studying
It was a quiet Saturday afternoon, right after lunch when Maverick decided he would spend the rest of his day in the library. He had been meaning to spend some time in there all week but for some reason always ended up distracted. Today though, he was finally going to sit down in the library and study, even though he had a feeling he would probably just end up reading. He eventually found his way to the entrance of the library, book bag on his shoulder. He quietly made his way to the back of the library where he found a seat at one of the tables and settled down. He took out a few books, quills, and paper in order to get started.
Some time passed and he had written a couple of notes down but was quickly losing interest. He decided he would take a small break and just read instead, so he pulled another book out from his bag and began reading. It didn't take long though until he began to lose interest again. He sighed slightly, and closed the book, not sure why he couldn't just do it. He just felt sort of out of it, of course, that had become somewhat of a normal feeling for him recently. The Ravenclaw boy just didn't have his heart in it, even reading had become hard to do for long. He had always loved reading so this wasn't normal for him
He went to put one of his books back in his bag but ended.up knocking them off completely. He sighed, annoyed with his luck, and went to pick them up. He quickly put them back in and stuffed them back in his bag. He decided that he might try to find a new book to read take his mind off everything. He got up and started to walk in the direction of the shelves but found himself tripping on something or someone, just barely catching himself on the nearby table. He wasn't entirely sure why he had tripped but decided he might as well apologize just in case it was a person. "I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to I guess I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," he quickly apologized, wondering just how bad the day would be.
