Great Maze - Northern Sun
Marissa was daydreaming, thinking about the time when James asked her if she wanred to do the maze event together. At first, she was reluctant. She couldn’t really defend herself and a maze wasn’t exactly the most friendly of places. She was sitting in the Hufflepuff common room, doing most of her homework when James approached her. He seemed chilled about it, as if he wasn’t worried about getting lost or the possibility of getting attacked. But that was just Marissa over reacting.
Marissa finally snapped out of daydream as the two entered the maze. She was in a simple summer dress, one that she brought from home. It was a simple baby pink checkered dress that just stopped from above her knees. She was also wearing knee-high socks along with boots, hoping not to get muddy. She looked around at her surroundings, seeing that there was only a paths going towards: East, West or North West. She looked down at the floor, seeing now goat tracks. Mari wondered why it was a goat that they were to try and capture. She shook this thought away and looked towards James. She smiled nervously and the two of them began to plan on which way to go.
Finally deciding on where to go, they faced towards the North West path and advanced.

Great Maze - Northern Sun
James loved exciting, adventurous situations, and being in a maze satisfied that love of James' more than enough. Add the fact that this wasn't some Muggle corn field maze, and actually supposed to be a magical one, and James was very, very excited! There was a prize to win, and things to find. James took a deep breath, looking around at where he and Marissa were. He remembered when he had gone up to Marissa, asking her if she wanted to go to the BlossomFest with him. He had heard about it a little late, but not too late. It sounded exciting, and he decided he didn't really want to go alone. He thought about who he could invite to go with him, and Marissa's name had crossed his mind.
James was wearing a simple yellow T-shirt with loose jeans and a unbuttoned, short-sleeved jersey from California that hung about his shoulders, and down his sides, leaving his yellow shirt visible. It was a lot more comfortable than his black jacket, seeing as the weather was getting warmer now.
James looked over at Marissa wordlessly, to see her looking back at him. She gave him a soft nervous smile that gave James strange butterflies in his stomach, but he brushed the feeling away by planning with Marissa where they should go first.
At not much length, they decided to go North West.
As they started off, James realized he didn't know that many spells, in the case that they might need one.

Great Maze - Northern Sun
YOU CHOOSE NORTHWEST.
One step after another, your team is heading northwest in the maze. Taking in the green hedges and breezy wind, the hedges seem to begin to bloom more and more with flowers and buds. The hedges become prettier the further you venture towards the northwest path of the maze. Strange. Perhaps it is the right way to go as increased growth is happening towards the direction. As you walk further and further down the path, you realize that not only are there more flowers, but there are many more bumblebees. Luckily, they were cast not to attack and only be idle among their flowers. You keep going, past the bumblebees and towards what finally seemed like a dead end of the maze. Oh no! Your team turns around and you now walk past the flowers and bumblebees and decide on a new path.
You must choose East or West from the entrance now. Teams cannot split up.

Great Maze - Northern Sun
As James headed Northwest with Marissa, he began to notice the hedges around them start to bloom with more and more flowers and beautiful things similar. The growth of the plants seemed to increase the further they went, and eventually, a soft buzzing sound surrounded all around James' ears. Bumble bees were floating all around the two of them, and at first, James was worried they were in dangerous territory, but he soon relaxed, because these seemed like they were just like any other normal bees, just minding their own business, attracted by the crowds of flowers.
"I guess this explains the name BlossomFest." James joked quietly to Marissa.
Things seemed to be going well until they reached what was a dead end in the maze.
"Aw, shoot..." James breathed out. "Well... let's head back then."
James and Marissa made their way back to where they had started, where they had two remaining choices on which way to go. James wondered if this set them back too much, and how all of the other teams might have been doing. This kinda reminded him of a Muggle reality T.V. show called The Amazing Race, which was a race around the world, with about eleven teams of two, who slowly get eliminated one by one until there are only two or three teams left to compete in the final leg. This gave James some more fun energy, and he pointed West, looking towards Marissa for confirmation.
"West now?" he asked.

Great Maze - Northern Sun
As the both of them headed towards the North West path, Marissa started to notice flowers started to bloom more and more as they got deeper into the maze. She smiled widely as she gently touched some of the flowers, finding them extremely beautiful. Soon enough, Marissa started to hear the subtle buzzing of a bee. At first, she flinched instantly as she saw a couple whiz by. Mari did not exactly like bees, but she started to grow more worried as more collected around them. James tried to crack a joke, which made Marissa roll her eyes but she could not help herself and giggle. James always knew how to make things seem simple and fun.
The two of them finally made it to a dead end, which made Marissa huff in disappointment and annoyance. As they made their way back to the beginning, Marissa glanced around at the flowers again. She frowned slightly as she saw a couple of bees again, worrying if they would sting either her or James. Marissa looked over to where James pointed, the West path. She slowly nodded as he wondered if they should head there. She took one more quickly glance at the entrance before heading onto the West path.

Great Maze - Northern Sun
YOU CHOOSE WEST
The team heads west into the maze. The view of Hogwarts and Lake vanished once the entrance was out of sight. The ground became soggy at a few points in this direction for some reason but it wasn’t bad. A few birds already made nests in the newly formed hedge maze and squawked at the students trying to pass through. It remained light most of the way as the hedges were not too tall, but it was certainly shaded inside. Lumos wouldn’t be necessary to see at all. The path curved a few times but no options presented themselves beyond the current path for two more corners. Then the path split ahead where a choice had to be made. Further inspection revealed nothing more than dirt and grass. No clues about where they might find a goat or anything else for that matter. To the north, another path winded through the maze. It was hard to see where it went due to a corner only a few feet ahead. Another path shot off to the South and similarly seemed to be hard to judge. Lastly, a path diverged to the Northeast that went for a decent distance before also turning elsewhere. Where would the team head next?
Choose between North, South, or Northeast. You could also go back to the start. Remember that teams cannot split up.
