I'm So Sorry!

It was a sunny day in mid-January. The sky was a shocking shade of blue, and the few clouds were white and puffy. Ashley was walking up the stairs to the owlery, a few letters, one for her parents, one for her sister, and one for her Aunt Reyna, clutched in her hand. Although it was sunny, it was still cold outside, and Ashley was wearing a thick blue sweater, snug black jeans, and a scarf and hat. Her long red hair was loose today, and it swung, brushing her back as she walked. The stairs were quite long, and they were lit dimly by various candles that were placed in silver holders along the stone walls. They cast a warm yellow glow on everything the touched. After a few minutes, Ashley made it to the top of the stairs and out into the owlery. There were a few birds lingering, and one or two students as well. Ashley could see one owl taking off into the wide blue sky, white dappled wings spread in flight. Her breath caught in her throat. She had seen this many times before, but it was still beautiful. Breathtaking. Carefully, she tied her letters to her family owl, Athena, and stroked her head gently. Athena was an easygoing owl, and she loved being petted. After Athena flew away with the letters, Ashley headed back down the stairs. Just as she as descending the first step, she bumped into someone.
"Oh!" Ashley exclaimed, "I'm so sorry!"

Breathtaking. Carefully, she tied her letters to her family owl, Athena, and stroked her head gently. Athena was an easygoing owl, and she loved being petted. After Athena flew away with the letters, Ashley headed back down the stairs. Just as she as descending the first step, she bumped into someone.
"Oh!" Ashley exclaimed, "I'm so sorry!"

I'm So Sorry!
Ellie had just came from the Ravenclaw dormitories after her run-in with Gabriella Haworth and she was feeling pleasantly surprised that she had made a friend this fast. She's really nice! I wonder if she thinks back the same.
She was sporting a ponytail, with a cute navy blue knitted sweater, and black heeled boots, which really werent that good of an idea, since she needed to walk so much in the vast stretches of the Hogwarts castle, and a black beanie with an embroidered ravenclaw crest from her parents from about a week ago. Ellie was headed to the owlery to send a thank you letter, as well as a couple of pictures she had taken in the dormitories and near the grounds. Her polaroid camera, another 'coming to hogwarts' gift from her parents.
When she was on the Owlery steps, she was still using one of the Hogwarts owls, but she made sure she was going to use the one her parents used so they would know it was her. She was pondering that, when someone ran into her, "Oh!" They exclaimed, looking surprised, "I'm so sorry!" Ellie got up, unhurt, but shocked. " No, I'm sorry, I should have been paying attention..." Ellie corrected trying not to sound rude. "Are you good?"

The girl Ashley had slammed into was another Ravenclaw. A first year, like her, by the looks of it.
"No, I'm sorry, I should have been paying attention...Are you good?" The other girl said. She looked worried and flustered.
"Yes, thank you. It was my fault, really," Ashley said, straightening her thick black framed glasses. She was glad they hadn't broken. She was basically blind without them. A gust of wind blew in from the open air owlery, sending a slight shiver down Ashley's spine. It made the orange candle flames flicker and the Ravenclaw girl's short blond hair blow slightly in front of her face. Ashley pulled her blue sweater around her body tighter, trying to keep somewhat warm. She and the girl stood awkwardly in front of each other, not sure what to say or do. Ashley twisted her fingers in her tangled red hair, thinking. She wasn't good at talking to people. Especially right after she had run into them and almost knocked them backwards down a tall flight of stone stairs. She shuddered slightly, imagining how bad this situation could have been. Another gust of wind, stronger this time, washed over them. Clouds were beginning to dominate the once blue sky. Ashley crossed her legs and tapped the toe of her black converse sneaker softly on the stone stairs. Tap, tap, tap. How long had they been standing there? A minute, at least.
I have to say something, she thought to herself.
Finally, she got up the nerve to say, "I'm, um, Ashley. Or Ash is good, too. I'm also in Ravenclaw."

I'm So Sorry!
"Yeah, i thought so, your wearing navy like me." Ellie noticed quickly. "Oh, my name is Ellie. Just Ellie. " Ellie shifted her gaze to the windowsill, carved out of the stone room. Definitely could tell as i was coming up there weren't heaters installed into these walls... Ellie came up with a thought that if she said that out loud, people might think she's weird, since she's used to muggle things even though she's a half-blood. She shivered, rubbing her hands together quietly. The girl in front of her had shockingly red hair, which wasn't pulled down, it made sense because that would be warmer. Ash was twisting her hair around in her hands, just like Ellie did when she was embarrassed. She was just considering doing it herself, when she noticed the owls behind Ash, "Wow....." Ellie realized she was saying it out loud and stopped short. "I-i've never seen that many owls together before, they are so beautiful. " Ellie had been involved with nature her whole life, and this was one of the best things she'd seen yet. Hopefully she thinks nothing of it, im just weird. She looked back to Ashley, waiting for a reply back.
