[font=century gothic]WHEN: Monday, January 11, 2021?
WHAT: Whether prepared for it or not, we students have apparently been thrown into some sort of social experiment for Professor Kibitzer's amusement and must now band together to build a fire. Allegedly.

Freedom. The moment she had been waiting for. The one Evelynn always seemed to be looking forward to. There was a certain satisfaction to learning new spells and diving headlong into the depths of some tale or another. Even the endless hours absorbing every facet of information she could of this magical world and its denizens could hardly compare to the euphoria she'd discovered with Quidditch, however. Only Cassie could compete with the rush of soaring through the air on the back of her Silver Arrow. Since her first year, she'd made it a habit to venture out to the Quidditch Pitch at least daily to practice. Every minute of effort was worthwhile if it meant furthering Gryffindor's goals and reaching that much closer to obtaining the Quidditch Cup. Really, though, that was just an excuse. Even if her time of in the air was pointless, Evelynn would relish every moment of it.

And today… today was a perfect day. More than once, she had found her gaze wandering to the windows in the midst of class, thoughts drifting away from her notes and assignments to filter out across the gentle breeze. A handful of times, she caught herself imagining just how warm the sun's kiss would be once wings were spread to soar within the embrace of its rays. And countless were the silently exhaled sighs, longing that the clock would tick by faster that she might descend those spiral stairwells to the great beyond more quickly. Until, finally, the time had come. Racing back to Gryffindor tower, Evelynn hastily retrieved her broom, tossed on her team uniform, slotted her wand into her boot and threw on a scarf, hat and gloves for good measure--to chase off the nip on the way to the pitch.

At the mouth of the great hall, the hint of a blooming smile tugging at her lips, Evelynn pulled open the great front oak door and stepped into the sun. And promptly found herself very nearly thrown back off her feet as a very strong and very unexpected gale of frigid wind came howling to hit her full force in the chest. Fighting for balance, tip of her broom skipping off the cold stone courtyard floor as it hammered an echoing thud in her stagger, an absolute nightmare scene played itself before her.

"What in God's name!" She called in surprised, barely managing to find her footing.

Leaning precariously forward against the buffeting onslaught, eyes that mirrored the freak storm darted about her surroundings in search of some anchor by which to orient. Gone was the sun. Vanished was the gentle whisper of a winter gust. Missing was the crisp but not-too-cool air that promised a nicely temperature regulated training session. Instead… somehow, for some reason, the courtyard had been transformed into a catacomb of piled snow terrorized by a wind that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere. Bone-chilling gusts weaponized the powder into crystal aerosol that stung and stabbed at unprotected eyes.

The sudden cessation of wind against her person left her stumbling forward with a sucked gasp as the ground rushed up to meet her. Hands slapped dully against stone, padded somewhat by her leather gloves, but it wasn't enough to break the fall entirely. With a sharp rap, her knee connected with the ground. Her broom clattered off nearby. Thanks to her quidditch padding, however, it likely sounded worse than it felt, and rather than a stab of pain, Evelynn was left just temporarily disoriented all over again. Granted, this position of lowered center of gravity did allow her a more stable base to survey the chaos. What she saw, however, hardly solved any mysteries.

Students seemed to be running about--as best as they were able--amidst the snow. Now and then, she could vaguely make out shouts of Incendio! with concurrent flashes of green or orange light. She hadn't been mistaken about the snow, either. There truly were mounds of it scattered haphazardly around the courtyard. A hand snapped up to shield her eyes against a blustering of powder. Through it, she could make out other silhouettes. Trees? What in heaven's sake… And then a patch of sunlight that seemed untouched by what she was now quite certain was some sort of magically induced inclement weather.

Someone passed her just nearby. "Pardon me!" she shouted, squinting against the snow in order to free her hands to cup about her mouth. "Do you know what's become of our courtyard?! What is going on?!"

Life was going routinely. Scarlett would wake up everyday, brush her teeth, do her hair, change her clothes, talk to the other second-year Gryffindor girls and then wander down for some sort of breakfast, nourishing, or just a quickly put together piece of bread with butter slapped onto it, preferably the spreadable type. It was rather boring to be honest. Everything had happened before Christmas break, or at least on the train-ride back to Hogwarts. Though technically, that counted as before Christmas break as well. It was always like this - Scarlett found her situation happening quite a bit. Something exciting happened, then there was a rest period of schedules and normality. Then something else happened, everyone got into a frenzy, it cooled down and there was a rest period. Scarlett would never admit it, but she enjoyed even the dangerous situations, the annoying ones, anything with drama, action. Routines and a peaceful life were just not her thing.

The autumn term had, admittedly, been incredibly exciting. Perhaps not fun for Scarlett herself, but certainly dramatic, TV-worthy at the least. First, there were the balls. It was typical for Hogwarts really - as students started to relax, rewind and enjoy a night dancing with their friends or crushes or dates or whatever, a ghost went and barged into the Ballroom, leading a few inquisitive pupils into a wild hunt across the castle, complete with smatterings of ghost cats and snarky paintings. Then, there was the Parent Problem, as Scarlett had deemed it. But she didn't think about that. Forcing it out of her mind was the way to go. The winter holidays came, Scarlett attended a ball hosted by her worst enemy. But that was over too. And then there was the train-wreck. Scarlett didn't believe it at first, but the Hogwarts Express had indeed gone wrong.

But, enough reminiscing about the past. There were things in the present to be getting on with. The Gryffindor girl paid no notice to the outside world as she finished up her morning routine and fed Sparta. She had ambled out into the hallways, her cat slinking somewhere else (presumably to do some bird-catching or catch up with the other independent pets at Hogwarts) when she first noticed something was afoot. She could catch glimpses of chatter about what was going on outside. Curiouser and curiouser...

Taking a peek out of one of the windows, Scarlett almost tripped over in surprise, and she wasn't the tripping type. It had snowed moderately in December, but Scarlett would expect for January and February to come and go snow-less. Yet here they were - the entire outside of Hogwarts castle, the Grounds, were completely covered in glistening white snow, like something out of - of Antarctica. The cold place, wasn't it? It covered the hills, the lake was probably frozen over, tumbling gusts of icy wind gushed over the few mingling students dressed in coats and hats and scarves outside. After plenty of scouring around, Scarlett found out that Professor Kibitzer, the Divination one, had set them the task to start a fire in the cold weather. The successful ones would be rewarded with hot cocoa. A pitiful prize. Fun!

Scarlett bounded back to the dormitory, changing appropriately for the weather and throwing on a hat, scarf and a parka along with a Gryffindor jumper and other assorted items of clothing. Gloves were held off - it was hard to do anything productive with gloves on. She stuffed down her 'quick breakfast toast' which was essentially a piece of bread with the spreadable butter, eaten only to satisfy the people who insisted everyone eat three meals a day. She then rushed outside and then-

"What the-" A few profanities rolled out of her instinctively. She didn't realise the weather would be that bad that it currently looked impossible to start a fire of any sort. "How are we - why on earth - wha-"

She forged out into the biting cold, glad for the parka and the jumper. One step at a time. Eventually she had made it all the way to...a few metres from the door of the Great Hall. Fabulous. A girl with auburn hair was shouting - very politely, Scarlett might add - about what was going on. Wait, Scarlett knew that girl. "Decipio, is that you?" she asked, raising her voice as to be heard over the numerous shouts and chatter of the students. "I heard Professor Kibitzer did this, and we have to try and get a fire going for hot cocoa or something! Decipio?"

Kicking with all of his might, which was practically none, Sylvain finally managed to push his head out above the drift of snow that buried the courtyard in an instant. He had been minding his own business when the normally relaxed atmosphere of the shared space took a turn for the worse. Or rather, the bitter cold. The resulting onslaught of elements left him backpedaling, and in doing so he slipped, finding himself beneath a pile as big as he was. He was determined not to go down without a fight, but was self-admittedly much better at loving than fighting.

Head having just broken through the surface, Sylvain spotted the fuzzy shapes of two classmates. One he thought recognized from Flash's description of her. A Miss Evelynn Decipio. The other he hadn't the fortune of being acquainted with yet. If they died shortly after meeting each other, at least they would be able to say they had shared this moment. Wriggling to get his arms free from the mound of snow he found himself wedge into, Sylvain struggled for a few more seconds before giving up the brute force method and instead resorting to shouting for their help. His plea was desperate, but muffled by his fear of feeling embarrassed.

"Evelynn?" He started, initially lacking the lung capacity to shout over the blistering wind. She had only just become a prefect, and now he regretted not getting to know her a little better. A feeling that was made all that much worse now that he found himself in this predicament and in need of her assistance. "EVELYNN, IS THAT YOU, IT'S ME SYLVAIN?" He could only really hope it was her at this distance, and hope he would. "I'VE FALLEN IN THE SNOW AND I CAN'T GET OUT." After shouting into what felt like the void Sylvain started to feel frustrated, so he took a quick, worming finger, inventory of his belongings to distract himself. The cold was at least tolerable in this position, but being restrained was awkward.

It was a fortuitous thing that he had worn his thicker coat and dragon hide gloves, as there had been little reason for him to bundle up other than his lack of baby fat to keep him warm. This was going to be one of the few times where being lanky had actually helped to make a change. He could feel his satchel was still attached to the shoulder strap, and was majorly relieved to know that it hadn't been lost beneath the exponentially growing burial mound of glittery white doom. His wand was in his bag still, and if he had enough room to reach it, there might have been something he could do about the weather. Or at the very least something he could do about the cold.

Knowing what he had to do and seeing the girls with auburn hair as his only chance at salvation, Sylvain shouted once more, this time unafraid of embarrassing himself. "PLEASE, I NEED YOUR HELP."

Lucia Fox stepped outside into a snowstorm, then immediately retreated before River could be blown off her shoulder. The little pygmy puff had been traveling almost everywhere but class with the dark-haired Hufflepuff lately, but high winds were always a disadvantage. If River was blown away, little as she was, she would freeze to death, and neither she nor Lucia wanted that to happen.

"Sorry, Rivs," Lucia said to the purple fluffball as she made her way down to the Hufflepuff common-room. "You're gonna have to stay in the dorm while I go out in the snow, okay?"
River glared at Lucia reproachfully as the girl put her back into her cage and squeaked in protest, but soon settled down and Lucia got changed into a more snow-worthy outfit of trousers (with tights on underneath), an extra pair of socks over the tights, a vest, two t-shirts, a jumper, a raincoat, two pairs of gloves, a hat and a scarf. By this time, she was boiling inside, especially in the warmth of the Badger Bungalow dormitory, but she didn't mind. Lucia knew that, even with all of her layers, she would still be cold when she went out.

In truth, Lucia was quite excited. She loved snow, and building snowmen with her sisters had always been a bit of a 'winter welcoming' in her family. It had been tradition that all three sisters would make one each, then knock each others' down and band together to make a new one, triple-size. They had still been fairly small, as there was never that much snow in the Foxes' small garden, but it had still been good fun and Lucia decided that she would ask Briar if she wanted to remake the tradition here at Hogwarts.

Her attempt was to no avail, as the boy who had answered Lucia's knocks on the Ravenclaw common-room door told her in no uncertain terms that Briar said she didn't want to be set on fire, and would rather stay inside in the warm anyway, at least until the storm had ceased. These words confused Lucia, but she left and made her way outside on her own, battling the storm with her hood up.

Faithful to Briar's words, shouts of "Incendio!" and "We need more wood!", among a few choice phrases, graced the air... When Lucia could hear them over the wind, that is. Seeing a flash of red hair, Lucia made her way over to it. "Alexa?" she called. "Alexa, is that you?"
It wasn't, it turned out, and as Lucia drew closer she instead saw the face of her friend Scarlett, calling to another redhead the Hufflepuff didn't know. She just caught the end of Scarlett's shout and shouted back to both of them, "Hot chocolate? Can I help? It's Lucia!"

Then, Lucia heard a shout from behind her and turned around to see a boy, about her age, deep in a snow drift. She swore, and lifted her hand to her eyes. "I can't see..." she grumbled, and took her wand out of her pocket. Holding tight so it wouldn't blow away, she muttered, "Pluvia Velo," and was rewarded when a shimmery umbrella sprang from the wand tip, giving Lucia a few more feet to see and less snow on her head. "Under here!" she called to the girls. Whether they joined her or not, she then made her way over to the boy, tripping in the snow several times, and grabbed hold of one of his hands with the hand which wasn't holding her makeshift umbrella. "I can't get him out myself!"

Oh thank the heavens. Given that Evelynn could barely hear the words that came out of her own mouth with the wind howling as it was, she hadn't actually been certain they would reach anyone else. Fears were soothed the moment that the passing figure paused and looked her way, however. Fingers curled, arm bracing ever more against the gale as she squinted to make out any identifiable features what-so-ever. Something that was made increasingly difficult given the winter wear that everyone seemed to be sporting. In an effort to make things a touch easier on herself, she clambered to her feet, crouched to snatch up and tuck her broom under her arm, and trudged forward to close the distance.

"Aden!" She greeted as soon as the other girl's voice drifted loud enough over the surrounding cacophany to register. Although not well—yet—Evelynn did know her. "Yes," she assured, nodding in confirmation to the name. "Yes, it is me. I was intending to visit the Quidditch Pitch for a bit of a fly," came the uninvited explanation, acknowledging the source of their acquaintanceship.

"Professor Kibitzer did this?" Evelynn went on. If the surprise of her elevated tone went unnoticed, the furrow of her brow would supplement. "This is... This has been done intentionally?! As a sort of task?"

Was there no end to the oddities of this school? Spider attacks, burning common rooms, hag attacks and dhampir assaults... and amidst it all, one of the professors took to a grand idea to set a blizzard upon their students unexpectedly with a challenge to get a fire going. As though this were some sort of survival game! Evelynn would have shaken her head in disbelief if her joints weren't stiff with cold and if doing so wouldn't have needlessly exposed her face to the elements.

A girl nearby materialized vaguely in the blistering snow. Evelynn's gaze flickered briefly over to her until she made out the name 'Alexa'. As neither Evelynn nor Aden matched the criteria of this summons, the girl was quickly dismissed. Which seemed to suite her just as well as she seemed to find something else to occupy her attentions shortly thereafter.

"We're supposed—" Evelynn cut herself off for a second to peer out curiously in the direction the stranger had disappeared. She could have sworn she'd heard her name. A trick of the wind perhaps...

"We're supposed to get a fire going?" Evelynn reiterated, eyes panning back to Aden. Barely a few feet away and she still had to shout in order to be heard. It was almost comical. "Did you say for—"

She cut herself off again, eyes once more snapping back in that previous same direction. No, she had definitely heard her name this time. And it was followed shortly by some muffled shouts of general distress that she couldn't quite make out in their entirety. What she could discern, however, were the words: "I can't!", "Under here!", and "Help!"

"It sounds as though someone is in trouble," Evelynn commented seriously—although, really, were any of them not in this nonsense. "Come with me?"

Nevertheless, propelled to action not only by moral obligation but also a duty to the prefect's badge upon her chest, she motioned Aden to follow and plowed forward. Carefully forward, she quickly amended, after a slip of her boot on icy stone nearly had her sprawling out all over again. By the time she got to the scene, a girl—the same girl who had approached them earlier calling for an Alexa—was in the midst of awkwardly clasping the hand of and attempting to pull free a boy who'd had the gross misfortune of being completely enveloped by a snowdrift.

"Oh goodness!" Evelynn exclaimed in surprise and hastening her pace.

Again, her boots slipped a time or two in the last few strides to the pair, threatening to land her on her rear, but she managed to stay somehow upright. She racked her brain for a spell—any spell—that could come in useful. But in this moment, nothing made itself apparent. With pursed lips, she planted her broom front first into the snow drift a few feet away then joined the efforts of the raven-haired girl. One arm hooked under one of Indarys'—she could now recognize him as one of her classmates and prefect peers (and wasn't yet aware of any change of name)—pits, while her other dug feverishly at the snow around him in an attempt to loosen it.

"How in the world... did you manage this?" She asked in punctuated fashion between breaths and digging strokes. Her sense of loyalty to help her fellows almost brought with it a sense of regret. With arms now otherwise occupied, she was no longer focused on shielding herself and the wind had full freedom to assault her face. Auburn hair whipped about her countenance, nose and cheeks rapidly turning rosy with the chill. "Are you quite alright?.. You're not injured... are you? This seems...unreasonably... ridiculous..."

After Scarlett approached Evelynn, it seemed to have set off some sort of chain reaction of events. She squinted through the wind and saw that the Quidditch Co-Captain was carrying a broomstick? Now, Scarlett understood priorities, such as Quidditch, and with Evelynn being the Co-Captain, it was understandable that she wanted to practice, or perhaps carry around her broom with her fervently at every minute of the day like some people she knew, but currently - if she couldn't tell - it was icy and windy and it was seemingly impossible to see how someone could play Quidditch or even ride a broomstick in this weather. Though people liked challenges...maybe?

"A bit of a fly?" asked Scarlett, raising her eyebrows, though the other girl couldn't very well see them in this weather and in her hat and jacket. She waved her hands, gesturing to the winter-scape around them. "Guess your plans had to be, um, cancelled then, evidently."

"And yes, Professor Kibitzer did this," she said, raising her voice to be heard over the roaring gales, though only slightly because she was sure Evelynn could hear her. She nodded out to where her gestures had gone. "People talk way too loudly, though it's understandable in this weather."

To be honest, Scarlett was rather looking forward to this endeavour. First off, she was bored, and there was nothing to cure boredom better than attempting to strike up a toasty fire in the middle of what looked like a scene from a Muggle Arctic rescue movie along with other students barely acquaintanced to you. Second of all, it was fun seeing other people failing miserably whilst they hopefully succeeded. And of course, the promise of hot cocoa lured her in like a mouse to a trap.

A voice called out, and it sounded a bit like Lucia's, though who could be sure over this weather? It shouted something about Alexa? Scarlett very well knew an Alexa - Alexa Mackenzie, her Potions partner. They both had red hair so many this Possible-Lucia had confused them. "Yup, as mentioned already," said Scarlett, trailing off and squinting into the distance. She could've sworn that was Lucia. And wasn't someone crying for Evelynn? And wasn't Possible-Lucia going in their direction?

Evelynn had beat her to the realisation, and Scarlett nodded as the two of them set off to where the cries were coming from. "'Course."

They reached a snow drift, or a snow pile, or something along the lines of that, after a few precarious accidents on the ice, almost slipping, but making it there, barely. Scarlett attempted a sort of ice-skating motion and it worked, though left her feeling a bit nervous. But Scarlett didn't get that nervous that easily, and was shuffling (she pictured herself gliding, but that wasn't exactly the case) courageously along the ice, until they came to the boy buried in the drift. He looked a lot like Henry to be honest.

"What - how the hell did you get in there?" asked Scarlett, unabashed towards the boy. "But whatever." She gave a little shrug and joined the efforts of Evelynn and Lucia (oh nice, Lucia was there!) and they successfully pulled the boy out of the snowdrift with a thump, Scarlett tripping over and almost skidding across the ice. Thankfully, her trainers had friction and she got up alright.

"Everyone okay?" she asked, shielding her eyes from the sleet. "Hopefully you all are. So Lucia, this is Decipio, or Evelynn, if you prefer, and Decipio, this is Lucia." Points accompanied the introduction before Scarlett performed a sort of twirling motion to face the boy. "And how about you?"

Thankful his pleas for help had not gone unheard, but pleasantly surprised when someone he hadn't called out to showed up to rescue him, Sylvain's eyes sparkled as the first of his saviors extended her hand. "Thank you," he said as she gave his arm a tug. He was thankful for her makeshift umbrella. "You're an angel, thank you for trying." Though for the moment he remained buried, his reserves of optimism shone through. Help was on the way now.

As Evelynn arrived on scene, Sylvain greeted her comically and with grace, her immediate pity and concern causing him to play it off like it wasn't a big deal. "Evelynn, boy am I glad to see you!" His face was flush, whether from embarrassment or cold was up for debate. "I'm not really sure what's going on, but when this all started I was minding my own business." His grimace would shine through the blizzard. "You know how it is. One wrong step around here and you get buried." He slapped the snow a couple times like it was the roof of a brand new car.

When Scarlett joined in the team effort to free the scrawny scholar, Sylvain was finally freed from the would have been his icy grave. He gave himself a quick once over to make sure he still had all of his belongings while speaking, "I think so..." in response to their inquiries. He was uninjured at the least. "Not a scratch on me. You?" Shortly after asking, he realized he'd lost a shoe, so the boy plunged headfirst into the snow to regain it not even a few minutes after having been freed the first time. It was his favorite pair of boots after all.

Freeing himself on his own and pulling the boot up into position on his leg, Sylvain produced his wand with his other hand. It was dangerously frigid out, but no worse than what he was used to back home in Inverie. The only thing worse than Scottish winter was island life. "Strange times make for strange bedfellows. M'name's Sylvain Ind..." He paused, still not used to the name change yet. "Wyllt. Sylvain Wyllt, but you can call me Syl. I owe you three my life. Let's huddle for warmth while we figure this out."

Fingers grappled to grasp a secure enough hand-hold to aid in pulling the boy free of the snow drift. With the three of the girls there, it turned out to be of only minimal effort required. Which was fortunate. Not that there seemed to be any immediate urgency on the matter. Flushed cheeks showed that while he might have been uncomfortable and chilled, at least he wasn't hypothermic. Really, Evelynn almost wondered if they were doing him a disservice pulling him free. The snow itself might have served as the best defence against the freezing winds. But of course, if they were actually supposed to be completing some sort of task, being trapped chest deep would hardly do.

"Just the wrong place at the right time," Evelynn quipped, not exactly sure how else to reply to the boy's cheery sentiments to seeing her there.

For one, he had called her Evelynn. Really, it was remarkable how many times people deigned to make use of her first name. It had gotten to the point where she had stopped using it in introductions. But moreover, that he was pleased to see her, specifically. But she brushed off that in a moment. Surely he only meant that he was pleased to see anyone who might be able to help him, and hers just happened to be a semi-familiar face.

"Well I'm glad you're—" alright…, she had been about to say, but cut off as Indarys almost immediately about faced to dive right back into the snow. "Are you mad?" Evelynn stammered, launching herself forward reflexively to grasp a hold on his coat.

This time was even more comical than the last, his legs truly not that far off from what might expect of a cartoon except that they weren't quite kicking helplessly in the air. When he appeared to make no attempt to help her pull him back, though, she let go. Wrapping her arms instead around her middle and hiking up her shoulders as though that would somehow protect her against the elements, she simply watched on with confusion as he squirmed. Although it all made sense a moment later when he pulled himself free, shoe in hand. And then they were somewhat huddled, their backs to the wind like a small wayward rookery of penguins.

"Please to make your acquaintance, Lucia," Evelynn smiled as the introductions began. "Decipio is just fine," she added to Fox, taking advantage of the moment to emphasize what they would hopefully understand to be her preference of addressment. "And Wyllt?" she transitioned, shifting a curious glance to not-Indarys. "Wasn't it Indarys? Am I recalling incorrectly?"

She'd allow him the moment to explain himself if he so chose, of course, but every second that passed only served to increase her discomfort. Now and then, her attention flickered to Fox who had made, in Evelynn's opinion, rather clever use of the Umbrella Charm. Like an umbrella, it could protect against the wind and snow. But unlike an umbrella, it wouldn't invert inside-out if the wind was too strong or blow away. Or so she hoped anyway, as she ducked just enough to pull her wand from the inside lining of her boot. "Pluvia velo," she chanted quietly, and a moment later a shimmering outline of an umbrella not unlike Fox's pushed itself from the tip of her wand. She quickly raised it as a shield against the wind.

"Aden, what was it that you had said?" Evelynn asked, now turning to the third of their group. "Professor Kibitzer wants us to start a fire? In this? What is this, some sort of Durmstrang initiation?" she remarked dryly, lips crimping along with the furrow of her brow. It was as though this were some sort of strange survival training. "Well that should be simple enough, no? We need only some fuel. I would wager we could use the Umbrella Charms to protect against the worst of the wind until the flame could catch sufficiently."

So sorry for the late reply! Everyone seems to have completed the errand so I'll post in the thread for us ^^ EDIT: Eve edited her post to have the form so never mind :)
Merlin, her wand was threatening to blow away. Pointless, of course, since as soon as it left Lucia's hand it would become a wand again rather than the handle of a shimmery umbrella, but Lucia knew it could easily be lost in the snowstorm and gripped it tightly. "You're- welcome?" she grunted in response to the boy's declaration that the Hufflepuff was an 'angel'.

The redhead Lucia had seen with Scarlett came over, and was quickly joined by Scarlett herself. With their combined efforts, the trio managed to pull the boy out of the snowdrift. Though the other two girls somehow stayed upright, Lucia had no such luck and tumbled over backwards into the snow, shivering as the snow got into her hair and the gap between her gloves and her coat sleeves. "Merlin's beard, you're heavy," she grunted, picking herself up, then blushed as she realised her mistake. "Uh, no offense. Sorry. I'm not very strong." Then Lucia shut her mouth before she could dig herself into an even deeper hole.

Scarlett checked that everyone was okay and made the introductions, or at least half of them. "Right. Hi," Lucia stammered and held out a hand to Evelynn and the boy, who quickly introduced himself as Syl. "I'm Lucia. Fox. Huffle- Merlin's pants it's cold!" Lucia had never been particularly resistant to the cold.

"Fire!" Lucia brightened at the word and was pleased to see that Evelynn - wait, no, Decipio had also decided to make us of the umbrella charm. Lucia gripped her own wand tightly. "Fire's warm. We should make fire," she added rather stupidly. "Incendio!" But though a blast shot out of her wand, the fire was extinguished quickly by the snow, and now she didn't have an umbrella. "Oh yeah. You need fuel. Pluvia Velo."

They were successful, pulling the skinny brown-haired boy out of the snow drift. Apparently he had been out and taken a misstep and had fallen into the snow, to be stuck there until the three of them had come to the rescue? The wintry weather certainly was causing a few problems. Scarlett shook her head at the boy's question. "Almost fell over, but my shoes helped. I'll be alright. Everyone else is fine I'm assuming?" She looked out at their little group as if to inspect their level of alright-ness. When Scarlett had been assured that no one had been harmed, she took a bit of iniative. "Right, so-"

Anddd then she was interrupted. The boy dived headfirst into the snow drift he had been buried in only a few moments before, undaunted by this prospect. He grabbled for something and emerged with a pair of boots. "Um, hey, you might get stuck-" started Scarlett, before the kid burst out again with his prize. "-oh."

"Well, I'm Scarlett," she said quickly, interjecting it into their conversation. It was going at a rather fast pace. From Scarlett telling Evelynn that this was some sort of task to them spotting the Sylvain, or 'Syl' as he had told them to call him, person, to them pulling him out and meeting Lucia to Syl diving back in again and then now he was introducing himself. All in the span of what, two, three minutes? "And, oh, hi Lucia!"

"Right, yeah, shelter," continued Scarlett, turning back to the group as a whole and rubbing her gloved hands together. Her breath sent puffs of smoke spiralling through the air - she was reminded of a simpler time when those 'dragon puffs' as she had dubbed them, brought her some joy. But she was wrenched from the childhood nostalgia and back to the present in an instant, where she was surrounded by a stranger, an acquaintance and a friend in the bitter cold. She grasped her wand and raised it to cast her own Umbrella Charm to protect them further from the weather. "Pluvia Velo."

Hopefully all of them could use the Umbrella Charm to fend off the wind for the most part. "Yeah, that's exactly what I heard," said Scarlett in response to Evelynn. "I'm thinking, we need a plan of action. Perhaps we can find some sort of fuel like you said, Decipio? And a couple of us can cast Incendio on that fuel, whilst the two others make sure the Umbrella Charm is going well? Or we could have one person casting the Umbrella Charm whilst three cast Incendio."

"Though it's just an idea," said Scarlett. "First off, we need fuel."
