To Board a Train
Rosalie entered the train station with her parents. She observed all the alien muggles as she hadn't seen many before. She knew they were to look like her, and they did, but... how could they live in a world without magic and not even know it?
She shook her head, clearing her mind. She finally reached platform 9 3/4.
"Now, Rosalie, I don't want you getting into any trouble on your first year at Hogwarts," her mother said, adjusting Rosalie's robes. "And remember to talk to people, you can't go on without friends."
"Mum, I kn-"
"And remember to not steal, or lie, or cheat.", she said, more forcefully tugging on Rosalie's robes.
"Mum-"
"And remember to use one of the school owls to send us an OWL if you ever get lonely."
"Mum!"
"And don't go in the dungeon unless it's for potions class. I don't like those Slytherins."
"MUM!", Rosalie snapped. "Sorry- it's way too tight. And I'll be fine. Quibley told me everything there is to know about Hogwarts."
"Sorry, dear..." said her mum. "I'm just so nervous."
"Mum, I'll be fine."
She heard the whistle of the train. She grabbed her bags and hugged her mum tightly before rushing on.
She remembered her brother's advice when it came to boarding trains:
"Don't step on the third step. It's much too fragile to support anyone's weight. And grab onto the railings so you don't fall."
She grabbed the railings and up the steps she went, avoiding the third one. And finally, she was on the train.
She took a breath and went to find her seat.
