-A Trip Of Happiness and Misfortune- {Invite Only}

Setting:
Norton, England
22 Alabaster Ln
{5:00am}
Whoosh!!
A fierce wind could be heard outside, people could be heard rushing to their cars to start them as the winds began to pick up. Disgruntled voices of adult men and women could be heard through the cracks of the window of 22 Alabaster Ln. The reason for all the disgruntled moans was due to clouds setting in on the horizon, they knew today was going to be a bad day. X'zaviers eyes opened softly to the soft pellets of rain hitting the window of his room, a dim light could be shown inside of his room illuminating the various plants he had in his room. X'zavier placed his right hand over his face to rub the sand from his eyes, a yawn escaped his lips as he stretched out his body. Getting up slowly from his bed he tossed the sheets to the side, as he got up the bed began to make itself up. X'zavier sighed at this it was his mother's charms that made sure his room was always tidy. It irked him a bit at times however, it grew on him he understood why she did the things she did his mother was a straight arrow as his dad would like to say. X'zavier walked towards the window looking out at the damp road, it was funny where he was magic had mysterious ways of hiding their presence from the muggle world. He frowned at the thought, memories of the past began to surface and X'zavier closed his eyes before saying in his head -Never again.- The images faded as a knock was heard on his door.
Knock, Knock
“Zavier are you up dear, please get ready soon. I have breakfast ready and we are taking the Floo Network to Diagon Alley. Also...I know you don't like that means of travel but if...” A young woman said in a soft voice behind the wooden door but, before she could finish X'zavier interrupted her calmly.
“Mother I will be fine. I will be down shortly you worry too much.” He said in his timid voice.
A sigh could be heard in response and footsteps faded away into the distance. X'zavier again yawned and walked over to the light switch which made the dim-lit room bright. At first, you would think you stepped into a greenhouse there were plants of all types hanging around the room, with stacks of books on top of a small desk in front of the window filled with parchments. Weights could be seen in the corner of the room next to an old broomstick his aunt let him hold, it only hovered off the ground about 3 feet but, it was enough to make him feel good. Posters of the British Quidditch teams were hung on each wall, as well as newspaper articles from the Daily Prophet on his parent's great achievements to the wizarding world.
As he began to get dressed the usual way he did he felt an odd sense of urgency, I guess it was due to the fact he never left the house unless it was with his Aunt or to visit the Ministry with his Mother and Father. He looked at himself in the mirror he had leaning against the wall by his broom and weights. A graphic t-shirt that had a bunch of shapes on it, a plain black zip-up hoodie, with a pair of plain slim blue jeans and black hi-top shoes. His beady blue eyes scanned over his look, the look in his eyes seemed soulless even with the smile on his face. It was as if he was sad but, still trying to be happy.
{5:15 am}
After some time X'zavier was now at the dining table, portraits could be seen moving of him and his parents also his aunt as well. Pancakes stacked tall with butter and syrup were in front of him, X'zavier's eyes grew as he saw the stack. His mother could be seen finishing the cleaning of the kitchen and cleaning herself up. As X'zavier started to devour his grand breakfast he gazed at his mother's back, she was an astounding woman. This serious lady had wide blue eyes similar to his. Her fine, straight, black-gray hair is worn in a style that reminds you of a mysterious mask. She is short and has a wasp-waisted build. Her skin is pale. Her wardrobe is classy and mysterious, with a mostly violet color scheme.
“Zavier...I hate to do this to you but, the Minister needs me in today. Your father already rushed in first to help so I can help but...” She said this in a very sad voice she hesitated as she looked at him, it looked as if she was going to cry but, she held it in like he knew she would. His mother was strong, not weak, at times he even wondered if she had any fear at all. She spoke again “I paid for everything in advance so all you have to do is say your name, everyone should have your items together. Also..” she paused again a little excitement could be heard in her voice this time as she walked over quickly in her heels. “Your father said this is for you.” She placed 5 galleons on the table next to him. X'zavier nodded towards his mother as he wiped his mouth with the napkin he had on his lap. He couldn't finish the mountain of pancakes his mother made and he watched them disappear as if it knew he was full and couldn't take a single bite. His mother waved towards him to hurry. X'zavier grabbed the galleons from the table and placed them in his right pocket as he proceeded to grab his backpack from the corner of the room.
{5:30 am}
-I hate this stuff, it always makes me feel like my head is going to split open when I get out.- X'zavier thought as he looked at his mother from the inside the fireplace. “Be careful hun...I wish I could be with you. I promise we resolve this matter quickly and come to finish shopping with you. Try not to have too much fun without us.” She said with a smile on her voice she placed her hand on his head ruffling his hair a bit before kissing his forehead, then in a POP! She was gone. As she did this X'zavier looked at his house and smiled a bit before grabbing a handful of green dust in his left hand. He held it high and yelled “DIAGON ALLEY” X'zavier threw the green dust down on top of the fireplace and he was engulfed in green flames. The sensation always made him feel like his head was in a vice. He opened his eyes before seeing the inside of what looks like a bookstore. If his memory served him right he was in Flourish and Blotts. Witches and Wizards could be seen of all ages wandering the store going in between the isles looking through books. X'zavier's eyes grew wide as he was amazed at how big the store was and all the different people. Just being there at that moment meant the world to him, he was finally done being stuck at home.

Eventually interacting with @X'zavier Galloway
Alexa woke up that morning very early on her family farm near Inverness, Scotland. Today was the day she was going to Diagon Alley to buy her school supplies for her second year at Hogwarts! She was hoping to see some of her friends there today.
She got up very quickly, getting ready and getting dressed in a flurry of movement. She ended up wearing a yellow Hufflepuff House T-shirt with the badger inscribed on it. She also wore her regular jeans and scruffy trainers. Looking down at her shoes, she frowned. She needed some new ones, that was for sure.
Heading down the stairs to breakfast, she quickly ate her bowl of cereal and waited for her father to finish his breakfast. He was going to take her to the train station and in Inverness, which would take her to London. She was going alone this time, as per her request. She didn't want to hear her parents bickering the whole time she was trying to enjoy herself.
Her father looked up from finishing his paper. "You ready, Lexa?" He asked with a kindly smile. Alexis smiled back. "Definitely, Da'" she said back. Soon they were loading up in the car and headed to the train station. Then she was hugging him goodbye, and riding the train to London. The morning was passing by in a whirlwind. It was not even 6 o'clock yet.
When she arrived in London, she used her Muggle money to take a taxicab to the Leaky Cauldron pub that was the entrance to Diagon Alley. She passed through the pub to the brick wall in the back, tapped a certain brick with her wand, and watched as it magically became an opening into London's most famous wizard shopping center. Upon seeing the familiar sights of the wizarding world once again, after an entire summer without magic, she couldn't help but smile broadly.
She first headed to the bank, Gringotts, to exchange her Muggle money for wizard coins. It was a small amount (her family never have much), but it would be enough for what she needed. It was just coming up on 6 o'clock, and she decided to head to the bookstore first.

Searing pain can be felt in the front of his head, it was a headache one that seemed like it lasted forever. X'zavier placed his right hand to his head, the pain seemed to come down as his cold hand touched his head. X'zavier saw a couple of people stare in his direction before his face began turning a pinkish color due to the embarrassment. X'zavier took his right hand away from his head and began walking out of the fireplace dusting himself off while still using his right hand before it fell to his side. The dust began to trail behind him when he heard a squeaky voice from behind him.
“Dearie your trailing dust all over my shop, that's the reason why I never liked this stuff all ways so messy.” X'zavier turned around suddenly, he saw an older lady behind him with a broom and pan sweeping up after him. The broom and pan were doing all the work as the old lady seemed to be just, examining not only the items but, him as well. X'zavier looked at the old lady with curiosity the old lady puts you in mind of a curious squirrel. She has droopy eyes the color of varnished wood. Her luxurious, curly, black hair is waist-length and is worn in an exotic style. She is very tall for an old lady but, her smile was warming. X'zavier bowed his head slightly, “I am sorry ma'am. I didn't know I was dragging in the dust with me.” He said with his timid voice. The old lady smiled a bit before shooing the broom and pan away. She looked at X'zavier like if she was waiting for something to happen however before X'zavier could say another word the old lady spoke.
“Oh my, how polite. You look just like Cathryn your mother when you do that...I almost didn't recognize you due to the dust but, I can see so much of her in that face of yours. She was always so polite but, very rough. I still remember she punched a boy in the face after he had destroyed a section of the store because he couldn't get a new broomstick.” The old lady sighed as she walked closer to him. X'zavier lifted his head to now being up close and personal. “Alyce Jennings and welcome to Flourish and Blotts, your mother already purchased your items but, feel free to look around. When you're done with all your shopping today meet me back here so I can send you off okay dearie.” Ms. Jennings said with a bit of a chuckle to her voice. As she said this, books began to fly from shelf to shelf as she walked away from him whistling as she was randomly catching books and placing them in their correct spot.
X'zavier looked at her walking away, -Mom punched someone? I don't know why that doesn't surprise me at all.- He said in his head, as he began to walk down the isles slowly looking at everything. Since all his books were purchased all he had to do was grab other things. But, he was stuck he had only been to Diagon Alley a handful of times when he was younger. Diagon Alley seemed like a whole new world to him. As X'zavier placed his left hand on the leather spine of a thick textbook he heard laughter outside the window next to him. His smile seemed to fade a bit as he saw all the kids in different colors talking and playing with each other. His mind seemed to revert to home, -Maybe this going to be the same way as home. Nothing to relate to.- X'zavier thought as he continued looking at all the books on the shelf he had his hand on.

Messager type bag
A flash of green then a figure appeared from the fire place in a tucked away room in the leaky cauldron. Henry stepped out of the fire place and felt a wave of relief rush over him as he gripped his messager type bag sitting on his shoulder before stepping out of the room and making his way through the leaky cauldron to diagon alley as flashes of the morning played in his head.
Morning
The twelve year old was seated on his bed turning the page of his book as be enjoyed the quiet that mornings usually brought. With his father at the ministry, his older brother at his auror training, and his twin out who knows where doing who knows what since she doesn't talk to him or anyone in their family ever since the boy came back from the summer camp at Hogwarts.
So most day's were spent the same, alone and quiet giving him time to whatever he wanted which most likely was reading. The boy been down to diagon alley and the muggle bookstore a few times already gathering new books since he's been reading quite a lot probably to distract him. However his diagon alley trips with and without his siblings has been rather fun since he felt both new and old friends during most of them but the hours at home had been anything but fun.
Two pops downstairs and a slam of the door led him to believe that his older brother, twin sister, and father were back and that a arguement was bound to happened as Henry pulled the book closer to his nose in attempt to block out the noise, the shouting started...
"Any other secrets you have been keeping father," His older brother; Arthur's voice shouted soon followed by his father's " none of your business Arthur Knight and any secrets you would like to tell me! Like where your getting that money from?" Henry placed his book on his nightstand and threw his head on his pillows as the shouting continued.
" When you start being truthful then so will I," Arthur shouted and after a moment shouted again " this is ridiculous why did I think I could have a normal conversation with you. I have training to get to anyway," then a small pop led Henry to believe that his brother and best friend apparitited back to his training. Henry's ears then peaked up at his twin sister; Annabeth's voice " I'm leaving to," soon after his father's voice came " no your not. Would you like to tell me where you go and what you do every day?"
" When did you care what I did, I have nothing to say to and I'm leaving," his twin's voice came and Henry heard a door slam which meant she was gone to before hearing another pop which meant his father apparitied.
Henry packed his messager type bag and dressed in some casual clothes that were handy me downs from his brother before wanting a escape to a book and going downstairs toward the fireplace. He took some green powder in his hand and stood in the fire place where he spoke " diagon alley," dropping the powder and disappearing from his home."Present time
Henry was walking down the cobblestone pathway of diagon alley until he approached flourish and blotts the bookstore and probably his favorite store there. He entered the room and the crime of the bell filled his ears like music before going along the shelves looking for a book that called to him or that he didn't read.
Henry looked around and saw families shopping together something that Henry never experienced since he usually shopped on his own or with his siblings anyway the boy moved pass the thought as he ran his hand along the spines looking for a book.

Bumping into @X'zavier Galloway and passing by @Henry Knight.
Walking into Flourish and Blotts, Alexa was immediately hit by the wonderful smell of books: the somewhat dusty parchment, the somewhat acrid smell of ink, the warm smell of leather from the book bindings… Altogether it was a wonderful scent. She stepped further inside the shop and let the door close behind her, the bell above her head tinkling slightly. Her eyes had to adjust from the bright outside world to the darker interior of the shop. She took a moment standing at the door to let them.
Then she stepped to the side, and began running her hand along the spines of the books on the walls, tucked away in their respective shelves and spots. She saw several displays upfront for new books, but passed them by; they were none of the ones she needed for this year. She headed toward the back of the shop, passing a brown-haired, blue-eyed boy who looked somewhat familiar on her way.
When she reached the back of the shop, a boy had just stepped out of the fireplace. Apparently he had used Floo Powder to get here, a way of traveling she had only learned about at the end of last year. He was talking with the shopkeeper, who seemed to have recognized him. When they separated, Alexa continued toward the back of the store for her books, but tripped right in front of the boy, bumping him slightly. "I'm so sorry!" She said quickly, her face flaming with embarrassment. "I'm just so clumsy sometimes…" She trailed off, looking at him out of the corners of her eyes.

X'zavier felt his mind go blank for a few seconds when he felt a sudden jolt that took him out of his trance. He had realized that the reason for this was a girl who had just tripped over in front of him, her auburn hair was caught in his line of sight at the last second before she seemed to have caught herself. “I am sorry” could be heard from the girl, she had come into full view now and as her face turned pinkish so did his. X'zavier couldn't speak at first because the girl to him was pretty her green and freckles made him think of her as a fox. Her pale skin looked like the moon and she was only about an inch taller than him, then she spoke again “I'm just so clumsy sometimes…” He heard her say as she began to walk away from him, his words were caught in his throat and it seemed like he couldn't speak. As he watched her auburn hair floating behind her, X'zavier spoke loudly “IT WAS MY FAULT!!” He felt the whole room grow dead quiet and his face that was pinkish before was now red from embarrassment. He didn't mean to shout but, it felt like if he didn't say anything he wouldn't get over the hurdle he had built upside all these years. X'zavier felt as this was his one and only chance to speak to someone.
X'zavier bowed his head, “I am sorry..I was too loud and I wasn't paying attention. I should've been aware of my surroundings.” he said in his normal timid voice. He picked up his head hoping the girl wouldn't be too scared of his outburst. Several people were looking his way giving him a bit of a look of annoyance. He lowered his head again looking towards the ground, his head was spinning a bit and it seemed like he was having a moment. -I can't swim.- Could be heard in his head, as he began to breathe in deeply trying to control himself. As he gathered his thoughts and courage to face the world again, he slowly raised his head hoping again that the girl was still in view to accept his apology. However, unknown to him and the people around him they were going to get caught up in a day worth of luck and misfortune.
OOC: I am sorry it took me so long to post. I am working on this story and also trying to spend time with the family. I will send everyone participating in the thread an overall synopsis of what is going on and what will happen. Spotting @Alexa Mackenzie with @X'zavier Galloway
As the twelve year old made his way to the front, he passed by a red head whom look familiar but he couldn't take long to stare at her since he had a few books to return. Henry worked out a deal with the bookstore that he could borrow books then return them which has been going pretty good so far and seemed him not only the money but also time for trying and probably failing with asking his father for the money to buy.
Stacking around 10 or so books on the counter, Henry spoke to the shopkeeper " all 10," giving the shopkeeper a smile become hearing him say "done already Henry? That had to be a new record." Henry couldn't hold back a laugh as he spoke " well I had nothing else to do all day. Did you get any new ones in?" The twelve year old hoped they got some new books in and hoped even more that they were on animals or magical creatures.
"Not yet but your more than welcomed to borrow any of the others," the shopkeeper's words rang in Henry's ears as he was a bit disappointed but nodded as he smiled "one could only hope then," turning to leave but spotting a small stand worn a few books Henry picked up one and turned back to the shopkeeper as he spoke " mind if I borrow this one?"
"Sure but haven't you borrow that five or six times already?" the shopkeeper spoke allowing Henry to smile before speaking " it's one of my favorites through. A thrilling adventure, mysterious villain, unknown creatures, and a nobelish hero," Henry looked at the cover and just loved it word from word which made him happier when the shopkeeper spoke " well if you like it that much then it's yours. Anything for a fellow bookworm," those words made Henry look up in surprise as he spoke " really? Then I insist that I pay something for it."
"On the house, I insist Henry. It's rather difficult to find bookworms in your generation so please," the shopkeeper spoke allowing Henry to slide the book in his messager type bag as he spoke " thanks and see you in a few days."
Henry then placed his hands in his pockets as he was looking for a book still rather happy that the shopkeeper gave him one of his favorite books but also promised himself that he would pay for it someday. Henry looked through the aisles with one hand running along the spines of the books and still not noticing the two kids that were nearby.

Alexa was about to walk on by past the boy, her head hanging in embarrassment when he loudly burst out that it was his fault. He said it so loudly, that Alexa jumped, then slowly turned back around to stare at him in surprise. He seemed embarrassed by his outburst, and apologized, but Alexa smiled at him warmly. "No worries, I'm not so great it introductions myself! I am Alexa Mackenzie, second-year Hufflehpuff. What's your name?"
As she waited for him to respond, she quickly collected the books that she would need for the upcoming year, and holding them in her arms she returned to him, still smiling. She hoped he wasn't too embarrassed to talk to her, as she would've been if she had burst out like that last year. But her shyness had gradually taken a backseat to her temperament. She was learning social skills finally, like how to introduce herself properly! Not that she still wasn't shy, but it had certainly gotten better.
Holding the necessary books in her arms, she wondered when the boy would speak again, as the books were starting to get a little heavy, and she was in a hurry to purchase them before she dropped them!
