This ought to be a dream. No, it must be.

“Please don’t tell me there’s four different ties inside this class.” The blond girl muttered as she stood at the door of the class. Her icy grey eyes scrutinizing the occupants of the room; green ties, red ties, blue ties, and yellow ties. A full house of First Years.

How wonderful.

Arissa Wright was not late, to say the least. She was simply not early. Fashionably late, some might say. However, she did regret not feigning sick on this day - not an impossible feat, as she has mastered the Curse of Bogies in her last Defense Against Dark Arts class. It may caused several unwanted effect, but right now, Arissa would rather use that spell than hanging out with these people in such an enclosed space. One may think what caused the lovely noble lady such as her to consider such a horrid thought, when combining all four houses seemed harmless. A mere attempt to promote house unity.

Well, that’s wrong.

As a proud intel, Arissa could easily distinguish several troublesome people in this class, and their enemy. That’s why it didn’t take long for her to move her gaze towards Katherine Labrouder, whom had managed to build a unkind title upon herself because of her behavior. Even if she didn't know of her reputation, the Gryffindor girl had draw quite an attention from most of the students - with her legs on the table, surrounded by the boisterous laughs of her cliques, and herself spewing barbaric words. That's why it didn't surprise the Slytherin that in such a short time, the Gryffindor girl had quite a handful of victims that had suffered under her reign, which included a certain Ravenclaw Arissa knew well.

'Poor little Cade.'

She knew what happened between the two because of the regular missives between her and the boy, but it's not like she understand the reason why her friend had the misfortune of being a regular target of Gryffindor girls. Cade was a gentleman, as far as she knew. But somehow, he had make himself the enemy of a person Arissa didn't want to associate herself with.

Katherine Labrouder. What a problematic girl.

Despite the fact that she was displeased by the current situation, Arissa still gracefully strode towards her seat, an empty seat, which fortunately was surrounded by her fellow Slytherins. Some may sat with other houses, but most of the occupants chose to sit with the one with the same color of ties such as them.

House unity indeed.

It was another uninteresting class with really pathetic first years, All desperate for knowledge and whatever keeps them sane, not that Katherine cared. She simply didn't give a single damn about anyone or anything unless she needs to. She had arrived and had walked to one of her seats confidently not being cocky, just as if she owns the place like the models on the catwalk.

She could feel some eyes on her she liked it being in the spotlight lets say it fed her ego, She had a devilish smirk on her face and had sharp icy eyes, still not giving a damn if it intimidated anyone. She took a seat next to her roommate, Katherine had even let her be her roommate because she felt pity for her other than that, she didn't care, she didn't even consider her as her friend she simply wasn't kaths type.

She noticed the teacher wasn't here oh well it's not like it affected her, she had noticed cade and some others she would consider as followers or people who admired her more like worshipped her. After all, what's not to like, she sat laid back and placed both her feet on her table, she looked at her slightly long nails then back and left a small sigh, god this lesson was even more boring and depressing.

Sooner or later 3 Slytherin girls came and sat on the table that was behind Katherine, Katherine didn't even care to glance back, one of them spoke"look at that girl she looks like someone had given her a good beating when she was small maybe that's why her nose looks like a standard muggle thinking of a witch",

Katherine took a small glance at the idiot huffle they were talking about but it didn't amuse her, she took a piece of parchment and drew a really bad stickman of cade and drew herself holding a rock and throwing it on his head and mocking him, it turned to a small clip replaying on and on, she pulled the piece of parchment to let the Slytherin ladies look she heard grins and laughs one of them spoke"that's perfect",

Katherine was satisfied with their response she had scrunched it up in a ball and aimed it at cades head and threw it, she had a small grin yet with icy sharp eyes on and a devilish smirk, the three Slytherins also had laughed. sooner or later she had found a girl enter the classroom, Katherine couldn't help but want to let out a laugh, like seriously who was she trying to be Marilyn Monroe or something.

Katherine thought that she looked like a barbie but to complete her look she needed the classic barbie pink lipstick, she spoke back to the girls"Look at that one wanting to disappear from the class, you know what she reminds me off she reminds me of those little barbies but she only needs the pink lipstick and she would be a perfect copy, don't you guys think that too", she grinned and looked back at them.

They both hurled up laughing and grinning one of them spoke"I bet she was all socially awkward and has no friends that's why she's late what a pathetic barbie loser, honestly she isn't even worth all the spotlight she is getting from us let her stay in her barbie dreamhouse", Katherine had the same facial expressions on yet with a little grin and kept the devilish smirk and icy eyes.

She continued to talk to them, at least they amused her they were like her own personal jokers and she was the queen, well she knew no one would dare talk back to her or try anything they all know not to mess with her, it won't be pretty at the end, she just waited for what would happen next and kept herself amused by the 3 Slytherins, she still didn't give a damn about the Gryffindor that was next to her.

Happiness can be found even in the darkest times,If one only remembers to turn on the light.

Cade was actually having a good day for once. He'd woken on time to get a decent start to the day. He didn't get lost in the ever-evolving corridors. And he managed to finish all his homework the night before. The first-year was beginning to worry he was the worst Ravenclaw out of them all, but it was turning out that his assumption was wrong. He'd just needed the time to adjust to life in the castle.

Cade entered the classroom early and sat towards the front, the better to see the board and the lecturing professor. Cade took out his workbook and started a little doodle on one of the pages. He could never help his ever-pressing need to draw. It came second nature to him. Soon other students started to file in. Cade didn't pay much attention to them all, it was just another day. The boy started to question the absence of the professor. Shouldn't they be here already? Cade's dark chocolate eyes darted about the room, investigating for signs of the teacher's previous presence. There was a cloak hung up towards the back of the room. Perhaps they only went out for some air before the start of class?

Cade was about to resume his drawing when a ball of parchment smacked the back of his head. The Ravenclaw boy didn't have to turn around to know who it was. Cade shot his most deadpanned glare towards Katherine and her slimy Slytherin posse. He turned back towards the front and was about to continue his doodle when he noticed there was something drawn on the parchment.

Gingerly uncrinkling the paper, Cade could make out a crude illustration of Katherine throwing what was supposed to be a rock at him. Cade couldn't help the snort that escaped his mouth. He turned back towards Katherine. "You know you should really work on your illustration skills, if I didn't know better I'd say this was a pig throwing your big fat head at me." Cade then proceeded to make a show of casting the fire-making spell and lighting the parchment ablaze. He dropped it to the floor and stamped the flames with his foot. "Now that looks much better. The ash really brings out your eyes."
