"everything in life is temporary. so if things are going good, enjoy it because it won't last forever, and if things are going bad, don't worry, it won't last forever either."

The day was cloudy, as was Rhea's mood. She'd just been informed by her nanny, Angelica, that her parents were to host yet another party - this time, celebrating the Pedrazas. Rhea didn't particularly know what it was for; but then again, her parents rarely had a reason for their parties. So now, Rhea was all dressed up in a ballgown, her blonde hair was piled up into a complex updo, and she was anxiously awaiting the family's arrival.

As she waited, her blonde nanny fussed around her, making sure there was no hair out of place. Rhea rolled her eyes and batted the woman away, annoyed at how picky she was being. With a sigh, Angelica finally stopped and Rhea was free to walk down the stairs as she pleased. The blonde 7 year old slowly made her way down the spiral staircase, making sure to keep her posture upright and her nose high in the air. Although Angelica had started to teach Rhea that Muggles weren't all too bad, the toddler was still disbelieving and ignored her teachings.

It took a while, but once the Pedrazas finally appeared, Rhea's parents started to fuss around them, inviting them into their luxurious home, offering various types of foods, presenting them with jewelry and other valuables. Rhea sighed and walked into the living room, where she would be expected to sit quietly and properly until anyone spoke to her, to which then she would reply with grace and elegancy.

But what she didn't know, was that the Pedrazas had a son, who was about her age. When she saw him, a small hope blossomed inside her, at the thought that she wouldn't have to spend hours stuck inside the Bishops' pristine white living room, doing absolutely nothing

With a small look in her parents' direction--they nodded, and gestured for her to go introduce herself, hoping that she would make a good impression--Rhea walked up to the boy and curtsied, the way a 7 year old would (which was obviously not the correct way, but she was 7, so who really cared?)

"Hello," she said, and out of habit her chin went up and she looked down at him. "My name is Rhea. What's yours?" The young girl hoped he was nice, or at least not mean, because she was bored and wanted to entertain herself. And what better way to do that than talk to a boy?

the trouble is, if you don't risk anything -- you risk more.
