Love, Dawn (A proud Flourish)
Dawn glanced down at the book in her hand as she strolled through the arched doorway. Her view was simplified to a vague image of the outline, as her short hair was in the way and tears were threatening the slip through her eyelids. The wind hit Dawn gently, as she stood on the landing and examined the Owlery. The first thing she noticed was the lack of windows and was the cause of Dawn tightening her coat around her. She was glad to have the place to herself as she didn't like the thought of someone seeing her in her vulnerable state. Wiping her tears away, she gave a small smile at a scruffy brown owl that stared at her with a tilted round head, filled with curiosity. As she walked across the platform, narrowly avoiding the large circular water bowl in the middle of the room, she opened the book that had her letter placed in between pages 134 and 135. The room seemed to quieten when Dawn took the letter out of the envelope, to reread once more before sending it away to her father. The letter read:
Dear Father,
There is much I'd love to tell you, including how much I miss you. There will never be enough words to convey that, but either way I'll just say it on paper: I love you and miss you. I miss waking up to the smell of breakfast, hanging out with Kyle, going on trips with you and most of all the things that you teach me everyday. But being here among many like myself does bring me joy and comfort.
I'll be starting my courses soon and I'm looking forward to the subject, Care of Magical Creatures. I can't wait! You know how much I love animals, so being around creatures should bring the similar comfort. I've met some really nice people here and I think this way is suitable for us both. Anyway, I'd love to hear from you, how are you? Is there any good news? Also I'd be grateful if you tell Kyle I said hi and that I miss him too, I hope he is doing well and whether he is keeping to our pledge. I would write more about my stay here, but it seems even though I had a lot to say, I have lost my words! But oh well, just as long as you receive this letter, I'd be plenty thankful. I miss mother everyday and will continue to love her endlessly.
Love, Dawn (A proud Flourish)
Dawn looked down at an old dried tear stain and knew something was wrong. She scanned through the words once more and found the mistake. Digging into her pocket, she revealed the quill she had tucked in earlier. After scribbling out a few words, Dawn smiled and read the new piece:

Dawn sealed the letter and thought, No turning back now...She found a white owl, who seemed ready for a journey to London, and laid the letter in front of it. The owl cocked its head to the side as if interested, then it picked up the letter. "Take good care of that for me, will you?" asked Dawn petting its head lightly. The owl spread its wings, forcing Dawn to take a step back and with a last glance at Dawn, the owl flew off.
