Everything Diagon Alley already astounded Serilda. But the bookstore... that was something else entirely. All her life, Serilda had loved, loved, loved books. Picture books. Chapter books. Thin books and thick books. And that was why Flourish and Blotts simply took her breath away.

If she could, she would buy every book in the place. But she couldn't afford it, and besides, she was only supposed to buy the books on her list. Serilda hunted around the bookstore for the books on her list. Every time she came across one, she stuck it in a bag and checked it off on her list. Then she began the hunt for the next book. Finally, she'd found all the books and went and paid for them.
"That'll be three Galleons, two Sickles, and twelve Knuts." The saleswitch said cheerfully.
"Ok." Serilda rummaged around in her bag and pulled out a handful of coins. "Let's see... ok, here."
She plonked the money on the table, smiling.
"Thank you so much!"
Serilda rushed out of the shop, eager to go and buy her wand. But she was still in awe of Flourish and Blotts.
