Tree Dilemma

Private Thread with > @Heinrich BezuidenhoutThat year, after the Hufflepuff team had won the match against Durmstrang last summer, May had decided to get out of the Quiddich Team and join the Duelling team instead. She had done so to join her cousin, who was also in the team, but this had resulted to failure. May and her partner had won the duel against the Slytherins, but May had seen that duelling meant sacrifice, and a lot of hurtful spells would go underway. So the Hufflepuff had decided to also quit duelling and enter the quiddich team again. The problem was that the sign ups had been closed up. The unlucky Hufflepuff, devastated, had nothing to do exept train to enter next year's team.
That is why May had picked up a broom from the school lockers, and kicked the quiddich training pitch's muddy ground, and soared up in the air, the cold autumm air touching her cheeks.
It was at that moment that May realized that this was her sport. Flying. Quiddich. Soaring up the air and mantaining a firm grip on the broom.
Duelling was not her. Flying? Definitely. It was her sport, her passion, her love of flying from the start of her first Flying lesson.
May forced the broom to go a bit faster.
She dived a bit, and then soared up again, playing with the air. She went straight ahead, and then looked back, trying to see Hogwarts and the things below her...
Such a big error.
May had been too over-confident, and had been distracted from her broom, form looking ahead. May's eyes widened as she saw a bird flying just in front of her. It was clear that the bird would get out of the way, frightened, but May was twice as frightened as the animal. She dived down, then tried to balance her broom, but another fright made her soar down into a big tree just in front of her.
May screamed and prayed and afterwards collapsed, her body aching everywhere. "I-Im hurt! Get me out of here! G-get me out of here!!" she screamed, hoping that at least someone would be there, someone who would save her. Right now, she couldnt save herself, for the more she tried to move, the more her injuries hurt. May decided to mantain a firm grip on a branch so that she wouldn't fall, at least until she could get down. Then, May remembered that she had a wand. Maybe she could cast Perriculum to ask for help! She rummaged into her pockets, trying to find the black walnut wand that she had apparently left there before, but didnt find it. Se looked around for it, but she didnt see it anywhere. Afterwards, she looked down, reluctantly, since it was so high and then....
The brown stick that had helped her to cast spells all this time was there, on the floor, out of reach of May's hand. May moaned, and her breathing got faster every second. She was trapped here, possibly forever. There was no broom, no wand, and nothing to do up there, injured. She began to cry and sob, clearly imensely frightened. "I need help! Someone! Anyone! HELP ME!"

Tree Dilemma
Although it had been a little more than a month that Heinrich been present at school, the duration felt but a few mere days ago that he first stepped into the school. Each day was spent scouting for his sister Aurelia, asking about her whereabouts ever so timidly. On a fateful day in December was an accident that changed his life forever, his older sibling had promised she'd be there for him but Heinrich was soon to discover that she made an enigmatic disappearance. By now, he should have succumbed to the fact that she was not at Hogwarts, yet the stubborn boy continued his search with full-on determination. If not for this, he would not have much else to pass his time with, no friends or hobbies.
Today the Hufflepuff could be seen wandering on the grounds. Winter was nearing, the temperatures dipping gradually and the daylight was growing scarce with every passing day. It was the third time he was searching on the grounds; he'd scoured the entire school by now. But it could not hurt to cover the area again, Aurelia had to be somewhere.
In his left arm, clutched to his chest was a small colourful box resembling a cereal carton. His hands would snake into the opening before producing a bone-shape snack and popping it into his mouth. Unlike what was stated on the box, this was no graham cracker. Sure, he had gotten odd looks from other students, but with his head forever looking down onto the ground, the socially anxious eleven year old could not be bothered.
In the distance was a faint but definite small whimpers that his keen hearing would pick up. A sound of distress, but throughout the extensive grounds, there seemed not to be anyone in sight contrary to the sobs that stopped him in his tracks. Honing into the sound, the source was not on the grounds but rather up in the shadows of dense branches of a tall tree. Heinrich would approach carefully, promptly noticing the oddity of a broom by the twisting buttress roots of the tree. But the more noticeable aspect was the figure clinging on to its branches, a scared blonde haired girl.
The sharp iron-like tang hit his nose, it was the uncanny smell of blood. Ever since his transformation, his senses had undeniably grown ten fold. The girl was hurt it would seem but Heinrich would not have an idea to how to get her out of her situation. She was fairly high up. Sure, he could scale up a tree skillfully as he did as a child outside his former parent's farm but the challenge would be to bring the girl down safely to the ground. So he did the only reasonable thing. "You, need help." The Hufflepuff said, stating the very obvious. "Just stay there. I'll get a professor." At such a distance up down from where the girl was on the tree, his soft-spoken voice would likely be barely audible to the girl's ears.

Private Thread with > @Heinrich BezuidenhoutMay didnt feel like staying in that tree much longer. Her leg was bleeding fast, and she was sure that she had other injuries all over her body, whether they were scratches or bigger ones. She let out a sob and looked down to see if anyone was there. A few minutes or seconds, May didnt know, passed and then she heard a small, shy voice. May could barely hear the boy that was just down on the safe, nice ground, but she made a extra effort to listen to every word he was saying.
"You need help."
"Why isnt it obvious! Get me out of here!" May screamed, trying assimilate the thought that this boy was slow-minded somehow. And then, he was going to get a professor....wait, what? "No way! Youre getting me out of here yourself! Look at the snow! Its coming! And if you dont get me out of here NOW I will get soaked and cold! You dont want that, do you?!" May said, pointing at the mountains as thought a snow avalance was just coming direcly to them. Dramatic Huffle.
May was actually very happy and grateful that this..this boy had found her. She was exeptionally grateful that he was tall, and he seemed fit to hop onto the falling broom and save her once and for all. "Look! The broom! You can use it to get me out of there! USE IT!!" She screamed, exited. She was completely sure that he would kick off the ground and save her, just like in the movies. Talking about movies, was that a scooby snack box he was holding...?

Tree Dilemma
If having an already assertive older sister wasn't enough, this girl demanded fiercely for safe passage back to the ground. One of the lessons Aurelia once taught him upon noticing his overly compliant and diffident nature was the right to say NO. If asked to do something that was normally tasked for a house-elf, the timid boy would often proceed without question. However, the tone that made of this girl's words was more than that of an entitled insolent five-year-old. Even the former farm boy himself new the basic please and thank you, but not a fragment of courtesy was present in the girl's yells as her arms flailed frantically around.
Like Aurelia had told him, he needed to toughen up. Standing his ground (literally) his arms overlapped around his torso. Tilting his head upwards, his eyes narrowed and he put on the best pokerface he could muster. Despite his efforts to look manly, the only outcome of his act pathetically resembled the strained scrunched-up look of a pouting five-year-old child. Especially with a vibrant cereal box as an accessory, it was almost impossible to take the twelve-year-old seriously. Yet he would utter a single stammered word under his breath. "N-No." He did it! Somewhere out there, where ever Aurelia was, Heinrich could only imagine how proud she was of him. He finally said no!
An element of sheer awkwardness would soon follow after that as Heinrich stood his ground, only intensely staring up at the blonde-haired young girl who was clinging on to the large trunk for dear life. Ocean blue eyes up into the girl's green hues. A few seconds was all it took for Heinrich to reflect on his childish actions. What was he doing? The girl desperately needed help and daylight was fading by the second. He wasn't himself. A flush of red would soon flood his cheeks as he snapped out of stance. The broom. Right, the broom could help.
Unfortunately for May, Heinrich having only spent a little more than a month at Hogwarts knew too little about the uses of magically brooms other than the universal use of cleaning. He would take a few strides before picking up the broom. Instead of mounting the broom as May would have expected, Heinrich would heave the broom in his arms before swinging it about in the air in a hopeless attempt to reach the girl. The tactical idea the girl had proposed for him to use such a mundane tool would not ultimately help her cause. "I'm sorry Miss, the broom is not long enough to reach you."

Private Thread with > @Heinrich BezuidenhoutMay watched the little show that the boy down below made, overlapping his arms around his torso as thought he was a soldier, and extremely firmly said no. May raised and eyebrow, and rolled her eyes. "Can't you see that Im stuck? I cant even MOVE. It can't hurt to just HELP a bit." May said. She thought that maybe she could be nicer with him. That would be a good idea, just to make him, who seemed quite strong, help her get down that tree.
When the boy finally understood that May was hurt and needed immediate help, took the broom, and waved it around as thought he wanted to yeet her out of the tree- wait, WHAT? Her eyes widened as she saw what he was doing. In normal ocasions, she would have snorted of laughter, but right now, that was not a joke. Did he not know that May was hurt? She needed HELP. And NOW. If the other Hufflepuff didn't help her, she would freeze there, and become a injured icicle. "Don't you understand?" she said indignantly. "You have to fly it. Not wave it around like that! Dont you know how to fly?"
May was one of these people that considered that people who didnt know how to fly a broom were idiots. She would gladly teach them, and afterwards forget what she thought about them, but if someone said that they did not know how to fly...well, don't be surprised to hear a indignant comment. With a loud sigh, May tried to control herself. She decided that it would probably be a joke. A stupid joke that he thought May would think was true. But May was very impatient. And now, she obviously felt extra impatient and stressed.
"Use your wand! Wingardium Leviosa! Descendo! Spongify the floor so I can get down!" she shrieked, now her nose wrinkled and her face red, as thought she was going to have a tantrum right there. "USE MY WAND IF YOU DONT HAVE YOURS" she said, imploringly, now crying for real. Oh god, please get me down.

Tree Dilemma
As a child, Heinrich had been told many stories of broom-riding witches which the boy only perceived as mere fairytales. Never did it occur to him that such a mode of transport was real until the girl in the tree had mentioned about flying. After a few puzzled blinks that followed from her statement, it all made sense. Flying. Of course, such a gravity-defying act was possible when he was among magical folk. But in the next few seconds, the young boy would make more of a fool of himself than he already appeared to the distressed girl up in the tree.
Heinrich would soon find out that flying on a broom was a learnt skill, much like how riding a bike or swimming did not come naturally. But the boy's determination drove him to try to help the girl. After all, it was the thought that counted. As Heinrich was not present during one, or any of the flying classes, the poor boy would not know how to mount a broom properly, instead, making a fool of himself as he tucked the broom under his legs. This was not your typical Hogwarts student on a broom, but rather an excessively tall eleven year on a hobby horse-broom.
After a few 'attempts' to get the broom afloat, Heinrich would give in to the reality that he could not fly. Heaving a heavy sigh, the boy proceeded to retrieve the girl's wand as instructed. The impertinent yapping from the girl above did little to help only deteriorate his bundle of optimism. Unlike the broom, this time, Heinrich did not bother with any attempt to cast a spell. Instead, he would call for the girl, "Catch." With a skilful flick of his wrist, the narrow wooden instrument would propel upwards. Since he proved to be useless, perhaps the girl could help herself down if she had her wand.

Private Thread with > @Heinrich BezuidenhoutMay watched as the tall boy took the broom, and tried to fly it. He did not even try to kick the floor, instead, he did just as the witches in the muggle movies and stories did. Trying to fly it just like that. May thought that he looked quite funny like that, trying to fly it without the attempt to kick it first, but nonetheless it did not help. "Oh god." she said, as she tried to feel calm once and for all. "That is not the way you should fly. Didn't you know how to fly? At least LEARN to?" she looked at his face and afterwards rolled her eyes and heaved a sigh. Obviously this boy was a muggle. Or a squib anyways.
When he picked up her wand, May at last had hope. Normally, she would have been mad with anyone who would just touch her precious wand, but now, she desesperately needed someone to get her out of here. May thought he was going to cast a miracoulous spell to drop her to the ground, but he threw her wand in the air, so that she would cath it.
May was normally a skilled catcher, that would catch any object with complete accuracy. But he had taken her by surprise. The wand flicked too far to the left and caught itself with a branch. Feeling twice as angry as before, May's face began to redden. "Why didn't you just CAST a spell? Now, you will have to save both me, and my wand."

Tree Dilemma
If things could not get any worse, the end of the magical tool stuck itself into the joint of a branch. The girl was most certainly capable to have caught it, but she had not been paying much attention when he flung her belonging in her direction. It was apparent that the girl was growing more agitated by the second, the redness and darkening of her eyes giving it all away. Witnessing the grouchy girl only made him more anxious. He never had anyone look at him with such disdain, not to mention roll their eyes at him.
There was not much more he could do to help her aside from beckoning a professor or climbing up the tree. After all that he had done to contribute to her distress, it was only right to pick the latter option. Although the girl was yelling in frustration at him, Heinrich would set his precious scooby doo graham cracker box down on the ground against the tree before stepping forward. Arms outstretched, Heinrich position himself in front of the tree. His fingers would skillfully feel the rough trunk. It took a few seconds before he began to scale up the branches towards the girl.
It wasn't before long, Heinrich reached the girl. Only then could he see the injuries, as he suspected, she was bleeding, especially on his knees and elbows. The only problem now was to find a way to get both of them safely to the ground. "Uh- did you break any bones? Are you okay with c-climbing on my back?"

@Heinrich BezuidenhoutMay saw as the boy began to climb. She felt quite scared, with her eyes opened wide and trying to beckon away, trying to get down by her own self. But she couldn't move, her legs refused to move. With a sigh, she decided to let it go and try to see what he was going to do. What did he think she was going to do? Climb on his back?
It seemed like that was his idea. He wanted her to climb on his back. A good idea? NO. "You think IM going to climb on YOU'RE back?" she puffed her cheeks and and looked straight to his eyes. May, cursing under her breath, decided to do the best she could; "I think I MAY have my leg broken, but that is not the problem. I AM GETTING DOWN" she said hurriedly. She definitely did want to get down. Even if it was with a dumb kiddo who ate scooby snacks and didn't know how to fly a broom and cast a STUPID SPELL. Rolling her eyes, she went closer to him and climbed on his back. The pain in her leg was so ferosious that she had to try and not scream. She just whimpered a bit and clinged onto the unknown boy, feeling embarassed and scared.

Tree Dilemma
The poor Hufflepuff would not be spared from more of the girl's yapping, fortunately, her desperation would outweigh her odd desire to reprimand him on whatever he did and it did not take long for her to heed his advice and aboard his back. Both her arms held tight over his shoulder, but only one of her legs was wrapped tightly around his torso. Broken? Heinrich did not consider himself strong and now that he was heaving all her weight on his back, the task of escorting her down himself might have been a bad idea.
It was a bad idea. for the eleven-year-old body would not welcome the additional mass of another burdened down on him. His arms tensed up and the burn of his muscles would make it clear that he was not yet cut out to be anyone's white knight. Chewing on his bottom lip nervously, Heinrich would assess his next course of action. One glance down and Heinrich knew he did not have much of a choice. He had dug himself a grave. Thank goodness, the girl could not see how uncertain he was.
The burning on his fatiguing arms was increasing in intensity by the second – his cue to begin pathing back down to the safety of the glorious ground. Carefully, he would, his hand finding every ledge and branch which he then used to lower himself down. His arms were on fire, each uneasy breath he took was laboured. They were almost down. But a bad branch was all it took, luck was not on his side -no- not on the girl's. Snap. For Heinrich, he found a sturdy bump along the trunk to hold on to. For May, gravity would pull her downwards.
