star gazing
Hallie sat back against the cold stone walls, her legs dangling over the side of a tall tower. The drop below was dizzying, not a drop one would want to take. The cool night air stung her face and cheeks turning them a rosy pink color. Her neck ached from craning up to look at the cold night sky, but she kept looking up. Hallie Rho loved to look at the stars, she had since she was young. She would sit on her dads lap and he would point out the constellations and make a wish on shooting stars. It was late and the sky was rich with stars. A gorgeous white moon cast a warm glow over the cold castle grounds. The peacefulness in the air and the beautiful sky were making for the perfect night when there was a disturbance, footsteps. They pit pattered up the stone steps that led to the tower. Hallie’s heart raced, technically she want supposed to be here. Rule following wasn’t her biggest priority and she had really wanted to see the moon tonight. After what seemed like hours, a fave appeared at the top of the stone stairs. It seemed to be another first year like Hallie, but this was a boy.
