Making sure the final touch was set up Amara waved the Dragamior staff off. It had been her grandmother’s idea, setting up the smaller ballroom to imitate the Hogwarts masked ball since they barely had more than 15 minutes to really enjoy the one back in October. Lucas was hopefully distracting Percival with a broom race or something and, with a glance at the clock on the wall, Amara realizes her cousin should be down with her boyfriend in about 10 minutes. Rushing over to the restroom to check her hair and change her shoes from a pair of flats into a pair of heels that are better for dancing.

Walking back out, the click-clack of the Dragamior heir’s heels echo across the small ballroom as she goes to stand, feeling somewhat awkward, near the entryway. This time, with no crazy 4th year blondes or other assorted fighting, there is a chance that this duo can have a re-do of there first Hogwarts ball together. Maybe this time, dancing and laughing, chatting and flirting can be all that happens. No, not maybe. For sure, this time Gray and Dragamior will have a romantic dance and enjoy themselves.

Straightening her skirt, Amara mouths a thank you at Lucas and takes her boyfriend’s hand. Let the date begin.

Two feet touched down onto the grounds of the Dragonamior garden as Lucas and Percival had finished up on a practise race around the grounds. Gray had always enjoyed his broom riding, but riding around the Dragamior was something of a guilty pleasure, everything was calm and perfect, compared to the rough weather of the Gray mansion. He shot a smirk over to Lucas and made sure to shake his hand to compliment his flying skills, a trait that the family seem to have in abundance. They joked with each other as they made their way inside, a small mirror mounted on the wall reminding him that his normally well kept hair was a mess. He quickly stopped and did what he could to make it half way decent before following Lucas to the ballroom.

The pair stopped beside the ballroom entrance before Lucas slowly opened the door, guiding him in to reveal something quite fascinating. Stood before them was Amara, whose hair glittered gallantly under the ballroom lights and her beauty captivating to his eyes. All he could do was stare, almost in a trance if he hadn't given a small nod of thanks to Lucas for his service. When the door closed Amara offered him a hand, an offer which he gladly accepted as they walked into the middle of the room "What can I say Amara, you've really out done yourself this time" smiled Gray as he slowly did a courteous bow to his partner, the usual for a gentleman in his family.

Then, right on queue a song began to play. The extraordinary song La vie en rose as sang by the muggle Louie Armstrong began to echo through the ballroom, allowing Percy to offer his hand again with the same unforgettable smile. Once she had accepted they began to rock side to side at a slow groove for now, with Percy sometimes spinning her around slowly in time with the music. Both of their shoes clicked against the clear floor of the ballroom, their foot movements in perfect unison with each other "You never fail to be Perfect Amara..." he said to her as he stared into her glistening eyes, contemplating how lucky he was to get a girl like Amara who knew and understood him like she did.
