Another Adventure Closed

Adventuring with @Alina Rosier and @Lucia Fox.

Once everyone was ready to go, Alexa put on her cloak and followed Alina out and to the corridor, and they made their way to the third floor, sneaking by the Hospital Wing so as not to meet up with anyone.

They quickly reached the statue of the one-eyed witch. "Alina, what's the name of this statue again? I think I remember you mentioning it." Alexa wasn't very familiar with the statues and pictures at Hogwarts; she rarely spoke with them. Little did she know that would change on Halloween night… But that's another story.

While she waited for Alina to answer, she carefully inspected the statue. She couldn't remember now who it was, Lindsey or Alina, but one of them had jumped onto the statue in their last adventure near it, and a passageway had opened up within it. "So… Do we just… Jump on it again?" Alexa asked.

Without waiting for an answer, she climbed on top of the hunchback of the statute and stood precariously for a second before regaining her balance. Then she jumped once, her feet landing on the back of the statue, which suddenly began to sink into the floor. Alexa scrambled off, smiling in triumph. "Awesome. Here we go! But we definitely do have to check out the Room of Requirement, sometime," she smiled at her friends.

Interacting with @Alexa Mackenzie and @Lucia Fox

"I read all about her in one of my medical books from the library," Alina said as she now looked to the statue. Most might see a humpbacked one eyed monster but Alina saw a beautiful image of a woman who saved countless lives. A hero. "She was a student here at Hogwarts. She liked Potions and she became a healer," which was similar to herself and what her aspirations were. "Her name was Gunhilda de Gorsemoor. She's the one that discovered the cure for Dragon Pox. They said she had green eyes too," Alina threw that one in because again, it was like her. She smiled at her two friends who probably realized by now that she idolized this woman.

"Alright then, let's see...the last time we were here there was a bunch of that armor chasing us and I had jumped up on here to try and jump on the dude," and so she looked at the statue as she spoke and saw where she had climbed up and began doing so again. Thank you to all her experience with climbing things from all the trees she liked to climb. "I remember my first thought was to try and grab the sword out of his hands from up here so I was trying to reach for it. To stretch for it...so I said DISSENDIUM which is latin for stretch thinking maybe magic would help me in some shape or form and it just....moved. The hump on her back," Alina moved back some while she was now on top of this statue because she expected the same thing to happen but it didn't. "...It moved the last time." She looked over to Alexa a little disappointed that it did nothing this time and then looked to Lucia and sighed. Maybe this wouldn't be a great adventure for her and her friends that afternoon.

"Well...I suppose that maybe I said something different,"
she paused trying to think of other Latin terms she might have said when it occurred to her that her wand was still tucked securely in her bag. "My wand!" she laughed, quickly opening up her messenger bag and bringing it out. "How in the world I think I could use magic without a wand in my Second Year is beyond me," she said, still laughing. "Me of all witches." Of course she couldn't. Alina didn't think of herself very strong in magic as it was.

Now with wand in hand, she smiled back to both of her friends before flourishing it in the air before tapping the statue, "Dissendium!" she tried again. For a half second nothing happened but then the loud sound of stone against stone filled the corridor as the hump began to open. Once it did so, there was now more than enough room for any of the girls to enter. "There she goes," Alina smiled, glad that it had worked again. Hell, what if it all had been some weird trippy dream? Sometimes she thought her time with Clifton was only that - a figment of her imagination.

No, no more focusing on him. The entire purpose of this adventure was to get rid of her book, get rid of him in her daily life so she could move on and be. Focus, Alina. Focus.

"Right then, so...once we jump in to the entrance it'll be a slide that will bring us to a tunnel," she told Lucia so she wasn't scared. All they'd be able to see before they jumped in was darkness. "Ready, girls?" she asked and smiled. She made sure her bag was back latched and she kept her wand firmly in hand before nodding and jumping down into the opening.

Quickly there was a rush as she began to pick up speed on the slide and she hoped beyond anything that Lucia would come. She knew it sounded crazy but sometimes crazy things happened at Hogwarts.

Let your confidence shine, pretty girl. <3
