As of the 16th, I've been a member of HiO for an entire year. Before this place, I'd never found a Wizarding World community I enjoyed enough to stick around for more than a month or so. It's been an incredible year. I've been unbelievably inspired by the setting, the framework, the homeworks, the plots, the open threads. I've met some genuinely amazing people with bright minds and voracious imaginations. I'm grateful for the friendly members and the trove of character development our RPs have given Peri. HiO has become my main place for writing lately, and I intend to be around for longer still. Mush aside, I want to swap sentiment with some of our newer members in exchange for cold hard pixelated cash. Edit: Griseldis and Ruby C are also joining in on this, Gris with her strong art game (sketches to the first 10!) and Ruby with an additional 20 galleons!
The first 10 20 first-years to post their answers will get 2 galleons each.

There are rules, which might sound very silly, but I want to make sure I'm sharing with folks who 1) need the help 2) are likely to stick around for awhile
All you have to do is answer a few questions:Please make sure you:
- are registered in the official Index
- have been a member for at least 1 month
- have less than 30 galleons in your Total Wealth
- are not a member of staff (we already get paid extra)

Untill now I really enjoyed the boat trip towards the castle. We were in boats of 4 and had small conversations. The setting was great, and I could perfectly imagine being there, sitting in those cold boats while floating through the mist. The lake really has a great asthetic.What is your favorite setting (the Courtyard, Great Lake, a class, store, etc)
What do you enjoy most about HiO so far?
I really love the fact that everyone is so kind and that this site is really active. I'd been searching for a Wizarding World roleplay server (on discord) that wasn't too complicated, but couldn't find anything. Then I found this website, and I immediately loved it. The way it looks is fabulous, and it has a really active community.
Tell me about one of your favorite scenes or IC/OOC interactions.
I really liked the Quidditch match between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, even though it wasn't very roleplay-oriented. But, if I had to choose, I think that my first roleplay in Madame Malkins is my favourite. It really made me proud of writing a good roleplay and it was very fun to write (and read replies of course, that's always one of the best parts).
Note: Really nice of you to do this! I don't really need the money, since my wealth is 33 galleons already, but if you still feel like donating a little bit to help with monthly costs it would be welcome!
Just kidding. There are lots of first years in need of more, just let them have this epic opportunity. I hope you have a really nice thanksgiving!

Tell me about one of your favorite scenes or IC/OOC interactions:: Again I have so many choices for this and itβs hard for me to choose, but I absolutely love a thread that I am involved in where 7 students randomly end up in the potions classroom and someone pulls a prank and explodes the cauldrons but no one knows who did it, as well as the boat ride up to Hogwarts where when of Akariβs boat mates fell into the water.

Every setting is special in its own way but I usually love the courtyard it is were Katherine usually stays and sits on a tree peacefully.
What do you enjoy most about HiO so far?
Everything everyone's so welcoming and kind, its a place were you can be yourself and I have tried other wizarding communities they are just not the same, Everyones so accepting and warm, everyone's willing to help you in any way possible and the graphics of this is just amazing and I'm looking forward to whats going to come in the future.

What is your favorite setting? (the Courtyard, Great Lake, a class, store, etc)What do you enjoy most about HiO so far?I find is veryy hard to pick but I absolutely love the Hufflepuff Common Room. I don't doubt that all the common rooms are just as wonderfully detailed and beautiful (I love the unique doors that you get to see when you click on the little house crests), but it's just so warm and cosy and yellow! The perfect badger hangout.
For writing, though, The Great Lake is just amazing. I love the outside areas in general. The weather at Hogwarts is so dynamic, which means lots of different roleplay opportunities year around.Tell me about one of your favorite scenes or IC/OOC interactions.I have met so many talented writers here! One of the great things about this site is that everyone puts so much effort into their responses and the stories that come as a result of this are truly amazing to read! I also like the focus on one character; it allows you to develop them really well. The encyclopedia pages are also very cool to read over. The coding is simple and quite easy to make look nice, which engages me.Note:I have had some amazing roleplays here, and have enjoyed them all, but I'll list some that stand out to me in particular.
Firstly, when Tina met Starlee Kennedy on the Hogwarts Express. They would soon go on to develop a super sweet friendship, something which bloomed initially from the girls standing up against pure-blood supremacist Elizabeth Isaacs together on that first day (albeit very tactlessly). They're both vibrant and explosive personalities, and have had their fair few falling-outs as well, but nevertheless they always come back to each other.
I also really enjoyed interacting with Hanako Tone at the ball. He and Tina do not get along, yet in order to enact revenge on Starlee (this was one of those falling outs) Tina recruited him. He took on the role of her date (though reluctantly) like a champ, and I had a lot of fun writing it all out. xD There should be more to come with them in the future, which is exciting.
I'll give one last one: the wand thread with Kaegan Chase led to some very funny interactions. He and Tina have vastly different personalities, which resulted in them clashing horribly. She still totally admires him and he despises her, but it was a very fun thread!As everyone else has said but I would also like to add: this is a really generous thing you're doing, thank you so much! I'm enjoying the wonderful community of H.io so far. :DD

What is your favorite setting (the Courtyard, Great Lake, a class, store, etc)
Believe it or not, my favorite setting is actually the abandoned bathrooms. See, Jess has already had two threads there, which is two more than I ever expected to write in such a setting, and I plan on giving her more. The thing about the abandoned bathrooms is that they're almost always used for crying (and the occasional Polyjuice Potion-brewing, of course) so every time I roleplay there it's pretty much guaranteed that there'll be some emotions involved. Emotional rps are, in my opinion, the best rps, so I love writing there.
What do you enjoy most about HiO so far?
I love the overall like in depth-ness of Hio- like how every character has such a complex backstory to them and there's a whole main story adventure plot thing going on on top of all the individual or group subplots happening at the same time. I also really love how you can read other's people messages in an organized way, so if you especially like a character other than your own it's really easy to follow their story.
Tell me about one of your favorite scenes or IC/OOC interactions.
One of my favorite scenes is just the whole Stop That, I'm Brooding thread between Anastasia Beckett and Dealla Prince since like nearly every sentence there is just beautiful and perfect. If you meant out of our own roleplays, then it would have to be either my tears ricochet with Anastasia Beckett or Overheard with Miranda Everest since those are rich in emotion and, like I said above, I live for those moments. For OOC interactions, it's really fun talking to everyone on discord or popping into the voice channels there.
Pericles, Ruby, and Griseldis, you are all incredible people and I hope to be as kind as you one day.

What is your favorite setting (the Courtyard, Great Lake, a class, store, etc)
I like the duality of the castle and the forbidden forest in particular -- you have this grandiose, no expense spared tea party of a setting and then the something dark and unsettling down the winding path. It's like a marriage between a fairytale and a gothic horror story where those two settings overlap. The forbidden forest itself I imagine to be be a little Del Toro and Anderson and I love to splash merrily between both the light and darkness like puddles tbh.
What do you enjoy most about HiO so far?
You told me it was immersive and boy is it ever - but what I like is how sound the community here is, how well organised the efforts and events are by the volunteers and creators because That is super hard to do. Like really hard.

The ooc interaction where we stuck Peri's head on Cate Blanchett's body
Otherwise I'm super fond of the Costume Party right now because it's lovely and I've enjoyed seeing people show out in their little Halloween costumes ;;/

What is your favorite setting (the Courtyard, Great Lake, a class, store, etc)What do you enjoy most about HiO so far?I would say the Great Lake, which I feel like one of the private meeting place, and describing the surrounding nature is quite fun.Tell me about one of your favorite scenes or IC/OOC interactions.The features of HiO is very fascinating, though it was a bit hard to understand in the beginning. I like the fact that it have its own main story, and that we can create our own side story for the character. And the people here were so welcoming, that I found myself comfortable after some time.For favourite scenes, I would say the duel between @Henry Knight and Miss @Amara Dragamior against their opponents. I like watching it, but what I enjoy the most is the savage comments that were being thrown around. Usually, I feel like duelling is one of the most tense scene, but their duel is very entertaining that it makes me laugh.

What is your favorite setting (the Courtyard, Great Lake, a class, store, etc)?What do you enjoy most about HiO so far?I'm going to be basic and say the Gryffindor Common Room, mostly because I love seeing the portrait of the Fat Lady open up, and because seeing all the red names weirdly makes me happy? Any roleplay in there would probably feel like home. Also, I get money when I go to the girl's dormitory so that's a good point there hehe!
Another option is the Abandoned Toilets. I can't help but love them. They seem like they would be the perfect setting for scheming so I would probably spend time there just for the vibe.Tell me about one of your favorite scenes or IC/OOC interactions.The people, definitely. The willingness to help, the warmth... The fact everyone comes from different places and have different interests but come together and share many things and knowledge. For example, I learned of the existence of craisins? I didn't even know it was a thing. Anyway. What I was saying is, I think the people here are very cute.
I also have a soft spot for the coding (even though the fact we can't use HTML hurts my brain), but that's the computer science student in me talking. I always have a minute of appreciation for the person behind it. I can feel the blood, sweat and tears, and hear the cries of despair.

Wait, let's not forget the writers here! I love reading other people's roleplays (they also can teach me a lot about writing in English so it's productive hehe), or even their encyclopedia if I feel like stalking. Learning about people's characters and everything that makes them and their past is always fascinating, I never get bored of it.I haven't roleplayed a lot as of now (though I must say I love Nico with my whole heart so any interaction with him is my favorite), so one of the first interactions coming to my mind is an OOC one. It was on the music channel from the discord server, when we randomly had a karaoke session (?), and Freya sang, and a baby made an apparition! It was the most precious thing. Very cute baby, 10 out of 10.
I of course have a lot of other OOC interactions that I hold dear to my heart, several with specific persons, but I went with the first thing I thought of.
Edit: I have to add the magnificent punch from Kyle that almost knocked out Quinn in the Masquerade Ball. Truly memorable.
