Study Buddy PV Closed

Logan had been staring at one of her many books, when she startled at a sudden voice near her. Turning quickly, she sighed when she realized it was only one of her housemates. "Oh, yeah here," Quickly she moved some of her book to a different area of the table, leaving the area on the other side of her open. "You're Alexa, right. We are on the dueling team together." Even though she had barely interacted with any of them, Logan knew the names of everyone on the Hufflepuff duelling team. What was the point of being on the team if she wasn't going to at least try and know some of the members.

"How are you?" Logan asked as she looked over at the other girl. As she glanced over at the girl, she started organizing the papers and books surrounding her. She was a mess at the current moment, papers and books strewn across the table as if a small tornado had gone through the library. She didn't even know if she was going to use all of them, but she didn't want to risk not having something and having to walk the whole way back to the dorms to get it.

Logan smiled gently at the other Hufflepuff, "Lucia and I had our duel the other day against Gryffindor. We did rather well." At the thought of the duel, the brunette sighed. She wasn't able to remember a lot of the spells she had learned, so was consistently repeating the spells she had already used.

"I can agree with you there. I could have studied a lot more as well. That is why I am here actually, I need to read up on a few of the spells we learned again." Just the thought of failing a spell caused her to become nervous for what was ahead of the young teens. She was afraid of letting her house down.

Looking back down at the book she had open, she closed it and gently set it on a pile of books on her left, grabbing a new one off the pile a bit to her right. Logan listened to Alexa as she spoke about the classes and sighed.

"I am actually doing rather well in my classes, well, other than Transfiguration, but we are going to ignore that one. Personally I think that classes are harder than last year, but they are preparing us and I like the challenge many of the classes give." Logan looked over at Alexa when she finished speaking with a grin on her face. "Do you think the classes are becoming a lot harder?"

Logan smiled over at the other girl with her rambling. She found it nice to chat with someone from her own house. To be honest, she didn't have any friends from her house, so it was a nice change. "Knockback Jinx and Fire-Making spell were used the most. Curse of the Bogies was used quite a bit as well. I think I was just lucky that I was able to avoid all of the spells. I think I would have lost quite a bit of confidence if I had gotten hit."

At the mention of the OWL exams, Logan sighed. She couldn't deal with normal exams at the end of the year, let along the ones that decided what classes she was going to be taking the years after that. The exams even went to whether she got the job she wanted or not. Logan couldn't deal with that amount of stress in her life.

"I guess they are preparing us, although don't even get me started on the exams. I stress out enough with the ones we already have." Glancing down at the book in front of her, she gently tossed it onto a different pile and grabbed a parchment with some writing on it. It seemed to be notes from the year prior with some spells on it. At least she wasn't stupid enough to throw all of her notes away.

"I believe that may be my issue," Logan muttered a bit as she looked over some notes, "I just want to do well and prove that I can do well." The Hufflepuff could remember the stress of the year before and how Henry was really the only reason she even went in to take her end of year exams in the first place. She would have chickened out if he hadn't been there.

"I don't think I will be as nervous about the exams this year. I didn't know what to expect last year, but I think I will be prepared this year." Logan had never really talked this much about something with someone other than Henry, and it made her kind of happy that she was finally making a new friend. It only took her a year, but at least it was finally happening.

"Do you think you are ready for the next round of duels?" Logan questioned as she looked over at Alexa. She thought she was a little better prepared this time as well, since she had managed to get through the first one without hurting herself or getting knocked out. To be honest, she was rather proud of herself.
