@Lindsey Springhall as Maxi
Roleplaying as iNPC Elise
If the date doesn't fit, owl me!
Elise was having a rotten day. To be fair though, almost every day these days were rotten. It was her horrible personality - that was the problem. She was always 'too much' of something. Too stubborn, too blunt, too tricky, too mean, too smart, too sarcastic, too aggressive, too moody...she couldn't please anyone. There was a saying going that went something along the lines of: "You can't please everyone, but you can please yourself." That was the problem with Elise. She couldn't please everyone, she couldn't please anyone and she couldn't even please herself.
Things had started going downhill after the death of her mother, her father and her aunt. She hadn't been there - hadn't even managed to catch a glimpse of them in death - and there was no funeral. After that, she had simply been trying to cope, though her coping mechanisms might not have been the most efficient. Snapping and shouting and punching (walls, pillows, people - she was not picky) were some of her favourites. However, there was one thing missing from her life - love.
Since the death of the one she loved the most - her mother - Elise's life had been depressingly devoid of love for someone so young. Her 'carers' couldn't replace her mother. No one could. Internally, Elise had been grasping at straws to try and act normal. Normal was getting harder by the day, though ocassionally it felt good to shout and bully. Most of the time, it felt tiring.
On their entrance at Hogwarts, Elise had tried her best to blend into the crowd. Be silent, meld in with all the other generic Beauxbatons students and act inconspicuous. It was different from her first-year, when she had a naturally explosive personality and stood out because of her fireball-like attitude, combined with her snarky wit and mean-girl personality. But then again, a lot of things were different from her first-year.
Back to the point, she had seen someone hard to forget. A boy.
A boy? thought one side of Elise, disgusted.
A boy, sighed the other side of Elise, in a dreamy fashion.
He was handsome and radiated a sort of thoughtfulness Elise could never match. And - and she didn't believe in true love, or love at first sight (no, she detested these things!) but there was just something about him that...
Merlin. She sounded sappy and babyish. He was never going to notice her, much less like her back. She was mean, he was nice. Anyway - she couldn't love like him if she never spoke to him!
She glanced over her shoulder, and head bowed, continued walking, walking to escape from people in general.────── ☆ ───────

You and You Only
INTERACTIONS Elise Laurent (@Scarlett Aden)
MENTIONS Sylvie Everett
English | French | code=#7F6000Really, why did he sign up for coming to England rather than staying back in France?! The castle of Hogwarts was really frustrating, making Maxi being lost again and again. He knew every corner and every single room in Beauxbatons, but definitely not Hogwarts. His father told him that Hogwarts was a great place, though the French boy really didn’t think so — you call a place which you always got lost a great one?
And yet there were more intriguing things. He was going to attend a ball. Well, Maximilien was not a stranger to balls, but this one was different. He had a date already. And this date was not like his usd ones, those annoying little girls that giggled but kept glancing at his fair face when dancing with him. Mademoiselle Everett belonged to him this time. Only himself.
Sylvie was not annoying. Indeed, she was even quite pretty and agreeable, with her affectionate words. But Maxi just couldn’t force himself to dance with her. He wondered why he hadn’t met Everett during large social balls in France before, for if she could get engaged with him, she must is from a wealthy pureblood family as well. Though now it was not the most important thing. He had agreed with her that they would be going to the dance alone, and now he did not have a date.
Maxi hadn’t thought of the consequence of agreeing with Sylvie on the ball thing before. Finding a date seemed quite difficult in the grand castle, yet it seemed easy. Losing his way today maybe wasn’t a bad thing at all — maybe he could even meet some girls that was currently in need of a date?
He stopped, and looked over towards the windows. It was only two days to the damned ball…when he gazed towards the horizon, someone came into his mind. Not Sylvie, apparently.
She was a blonde — elegant, beautiful, gorgeous. She gazed like what he was doing now days ago, when they first arrived at Hogwarts. He had never knew her name. Only, she’s a French, just like himself. He didn’t know, and didn’t care about her blood status, or social status. All he wished was to get to know her. The queen.
Grey eyes gazed. All of a sudden he turned. There was nothing much to do here, so he’d better leave. He wished to meet his cousins Lindsey and Edmund, but it seems that none of them were around these days — even if he spent time searching for them. His other friends (namingly, Cassie and Charles) were not around as well. So you may say — it sucked.
But wait. He saw someone — someone passing by. The figure, with beautiful long silky blonde hair, was walking through the corridors, head bowed. It was HER.
His queen.
Without knowing what he was doing, Maximilien made his way towards her. He had to converse with her…he had to know her name, no matter what it costed.
“Made — mademoiselle?” he stopped right in front of her, with his most charming smile. Though, thanks to all those manners he was taught, Maxi bowed before he spoke. “May I help you?”
