Studying alone is boring

Moon was staying in the common room, but she felt bored, so she decided to go to the study room.
She grabbed the potions- and the History of magic books and was on her way.
It was a bad idea to go. I could've stayed in the Common Room, she told herself, but she was already on her way, so she just went. She expected a lot of people being inside. It was a rainy day, the perfect, but at the same time worst weather to study at. But as she opened the door, it was almost empty. She saw a few people here and there as her look wandered around.
It's okay, I'm just going to be productive. And maybe.... There's going to be someone to study with. I can't be the only one struggling with history.
So with that thought, she sat down at a table, with comfy chairs and started reading through potions.
Hmm...I think I'm starting with the herbicide potion.... she said to herself quietly, so only she could hear herself. There we go...., she said, while opening the chapter about the easy looking potion. Okay... So... That is a potion that kills, or damages plants, understandable. Okay, now the ingredients....she said, again really quietly, so noone could hear her talking to herself.
Moon studied for a few hours, but it started becoming boring, she was now working on the babbling beverage potion, but when she took a look at it, she decided to just continue with history. The subject she hated the most. At least, she thought so, because she still didn't start her classes. This... It was just preparation. She felt like a nerd, but her ambition won. She had to do it. So, as the rainy night got darker and darker, she was still reading.

Katie strolled into the study room, when she spotted Moon. She had spoken to her earlier in the Slytherin common room and had enjoyed their time together. Our of curiosity, Katie caught a glimpse of what Moon was studying. She saw history and herbology books on the table. Perfect! Katie thought, her two favorite subjects, Katie knew that Moon disliked History of Magic. Maybe Katie could help her?

Hey Moon, Katie said casusally, sliding a chair over to her. She sat down and smiled at the pretty girl with soft blond hair, eccentric green eyes, and a vibrant name. Do you need any help? she asked, offering to help Moon with whatever she was currently struggling with. I'm not sure if I mentioned this in the Common Room when we last talked, but History of Magic is one of my favorite subjects, second only to Herbology. I can help you if you need any. Katie said, concluding her offer. Or if you are all finished we could just chat of course of you don't have anything else to do. Katie added playfully, with a slight smile and a quirk of her lips. Whatever works for you, Katie finished, looking over at Moon to see if she'd respond.

Moon was absorbed in her work, that she nearly didn't notice Katie, a girl she met in the Slytherin Common Room before.

Oh, hey Katie. Sorry, I was so concentrated, that I didn't see you coming. Actually I'm working on potions and history. Actually, history at the moment Moon whispered, because she didn't want to disturb the other few students who studied.
I just started, and I heard the first lesson was about the Gargyole Strike Moon said.

She continued to look at the sentences written in the book. All these words....
I want to do potions again....This is so boring... Moon thought.
She totally forgot , Katie was still standing in front of her. She just remembered, that Katie gave her a helping offer. She was thankful for that.
Would you mind helping me? I would really appreciate it. I'm just not so interested in history, if you know what I mean. Could you tell me more about this... Moon looked at the topic again. She could get very forgetful sometimes. And this time she forgot, what she was studying.. What a shame!! She decided to continue saying her statement.
uhhh.. gargyole strike? Sorry I am really forgetful sometimes. I can get distracted really quickly. I'm sorry. Moon said with some kind of a smile, which seemed to be posed. But it wasn't. At least she thought so.

Of course, Katie replied happily. I enjoy history and I'm pretty good at it, so I'd be happy to help you. Katie added, smiling.

History wasn't for everyone. Some people didn't enjoy the fine details to history our the nuances or the parallels through time. Katie was alright with that though. She understood that not every subject would be for everyone. Additionally, she was able to assist her friends her weren't as strong in history since she was good at it. The fine details and nuances, while stressful for some, were comforting to Katie.

Alright, start off by telling me everything you know about the gargoyle strikes. Then, I'll help you from there. Katie said, grinning as she thought about history. She loved the professor because he was super interesting and engaging and she'd learned a lot from History of Magic since she'd come to Hogwarts.

Her parents, while pure-blooded, hadn't thought hee mature enough to learn about history, and had stick to attempting to brainwash her about blood-purity instead. Too bad for them that it didn't work and Katie would never even think about listening to their loss of nonsense again. No point in trying to understand bigoted ideals that make no sense.

Moon thought for a moment.
Uhh.... Soooo... Moon said while still thinking It was in 1911. Is that right? Moon asked Katie. She didn’t expect an answer, so she just looked inside the book. It was right. Probably Katie expected more as an answer. But she just couldn’t remember. She was trying as hard as she could, when an answer came up to her mind. Moon was good at languages, so she just translated the word from French.

Also, the word gargoyle comes from French and means as much as throat or gullet. The exact French word is Gargoille.

Moon didn’t know wether to be proud of herself or not. The translation in French, after all, wasn’t mentioned in the book. She thought again. She had to find a good answer.

It was a wildcat strike of gargoyles that occurred in 1911. These gargoyles were enchanted to hold almost pure sentience to allow them to attack intruders that dared try to enter without their permission.

Moon only realized that she has repeated the date of occurrence.
I don’t really know much more. That’s why some help would be useful. All of these words... They sound hard and complicated. Moon said with a slight smile on her lips. After all, she was hoping to understand all of these sentences soon enough. Hopefully that would work soonly
