History/Background Story: Charles was born on September 30st, 2009, at 10:38 pm, barely making the cutoff date for this year. Born and raised in central London, he obviously has a thick accent. He was your peaceful muggle-born stereotypical child, as he was the baby boy of a single mother until he was around 8 years old. Charles defiantly takes after her with his love for animals, and his like of humans. He didnt grow up in a rich household, but, it wouldnt be right to call it poor either. Because of the fact he lived in a single parent household with 5 children, he was on the lower middle class section, meaning he only had his mom's hand me down phone, but, he always had food in his stomach when needed. Charles has 4 siblings total, two sisters who are older than him, and a pair of twins younger by 8 years .
Lysandra is currently 20 years old, and he has the closest bond with her. she has dark brown, nearly black hair, and dark brown eyes, while Charles takes more after his mother, with a lighter shade of brown. He assumes his oddly mis-matched blue eyes, though, come from his father who he hasnt met, as his mother shares the same eyes as Lys.
Paisley is his second sister. she is 16, but, was adopted at the age of 2. contrast to the rest of the family with dark brown hair, she is ginger, with bright red freckles on her pale face. They haven't been close ever since he was said to go to hogwarts, but, she is still the reason that Charles has a zero tolerance for bullying, as she was mistreated for her appearance and adoption for years.
When he was 8, his mother gave birth to twins - the father was unknown to him, but, it didnt matter. these were his siblings, half or not. First was a baby boy, dubbed Milo (my - low), and 13 minutes later, his baby sister would follow, named Mila ( my - lah ) , would become the light of his life. Charles adores his baby siblings, and was damn near heartbroken when he realized he couldnt take them to hogwarts. His mother is getting older in age, so, he helps her take care of the kids, while his older sisters work on college and highschool.
The first time he accidentally used magic was accidental, as it always is, and its a hilarious story he loves to tell at family gatherings. When he was 8 years old, The Calvin's oldest sister, Lysandra (17 at the time) was in an argument with her jerk of a boyfriend in public. His mother insisted that he tag along on his sisters little 'date', as she had just given birth to twins and needed his other sisters help with them, and didnt want an 8 year old in the way. The couple were arguing next to a water fountain, and, as the boyfriends yelling became louder, Charles watched in amazement as the tip mouthpiece of the fountain flew off and hit the teenager in the nose, water sprayed all over his clothes, yet, not a drop landed on his sister. Lysandra thought this was hilarious, and started laughing, leaving with her little brother. her jerk of a boyfriend broke up with her for it, but, neither Calvin were affected by the wet, angry man. In the end, they both just thought this was hilarious karma, not magical, but it was actually Charles who made the water tap explode over the teenager due to his protectiveness of Lys, and anger from seeing her yelled at.
Now, Charles is 11, and he couldnt be more excited to start Hogwarts. Getting sorted to Ravenclaw wasnt too much of a shock, as he has a knack for learning and planning things out. He loves lists, plans, and organized schedules almost as much as he loves making them. There was a part of him who wondered if he would get sorted into Gryffindor for his protectiveness and bravery, or Hufflepuff for his kindness and playful demeanor. Alas, his personality of being a mix of mature than most children due to his childhood, being he is childish at heart, and his love of planning, whether schedules or pranks for his friends to commit, landed him in Ravenclaw, and he couldnt be happier. he usually makes friends with the borderline troublemakers, the ones who play pranks but never get caught- the reason being they never get caught, is that Charles is the one who designed the pranks they pull in the first place.
More than anything, hes just a child, one whos excited to make friends, and learn more about this world he hadnt known before.
