What's That?
Lorelei strode down to the shore of the Great Lake, listining to the call of birds. It was a rare sunny day, and she went to settle down and read in the open air. She liked looking over the lake, and she pulled out her copy of Scamander's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and started reading. She glanced up every so often to take in the view around Hogwarts, when out of the blue, she noticed a dark shape wandering along the shore of the Great Lake. Glancing down at the page in her book to confirm what she's seeing. Recognizing the shape as what had pulled the carriages the older kids had gone to the school in, she closed her book, using her finger to keep her place, and approched the dark, winged creature
"Hello" she said holding her free hand out. She checked her pocket, already knowing she didn'thave anything on her "I'm sorry I don't have anything for you. You guys perfer raw meat, right? Maybe I can bring some out some time." the skeletal, winged horse huffed and took off into the sky, flapping towards the Forbidden Forest. Lorelei watched it go before tugging ber shoes and socks off and sticking her feet in the cold water before reopening her book. Occasionally she would check her watch to make sure it wasn't close to dinner yet, and continued to sit there reading

What's That?
Katie was taking a stroll along the great lake as she so often loved to do, when she noticed a girl. It was Lorelei from the train. Katie hrs added over to say, when the words died in her throat. Lorelei was talking to something, but Katie couldn't tell who or what exactly Lorelei was talking to. There was nothing but blank, empty site and an empty carriages nearby.
Ummmm, Lorelei? Katie asked curiously. is this a bad time? she asked. Maybe Lorelei was seeing things like hallucinations or something and would be embarrassed by Katie's presence. That was alright. Katie wouldn't mind one way or another. After all, everyone was a little bit crazy on the inside no matter how well they hid it on the outside.
you want me to go, I can, Katie added cautiously, bit wanting to upset or humiliate Lorelei. I don't mean to intrude in I anything here , before realizing that she was starting to ramble add she so often did so well when she was nervous, so Katie decided to widely shut up and let Lorelei talk. Who knows? Maybe Katie wss the crazy one and Lorelei was perfectly sane?

Lorelei turned at the sound of a voice behind her, recognizing Katie after a moment. She stood up, small drops of water sliding down to her bare feet. She waved
"Oh, hi!" she greeted Katie, "No, it's not a bad time. I just happened to spot one of the Threstals along the lake shore. I wish I'd known they wandered the grounds, I could have gotten something from the kitchens to bring them. I understand why they're seen as bad omens, but they're really usually quite sweet."
Despite knowing why they were "bad omens", she had forgotten that most couldn't see the Threstals and didn't think it odd to speak to one in front of others. She motioned to where some of the carriages were resting nearby.
"Hogwarts uses them to pull the carriges the older kids come to school in after leaving the train. One of my mom's older cousins who was a student during the Second Wizarding War told me about them." she chatted about the strange creatures as though they were as common as cats or dogs. She shiverd as a colder breeze weaved it's way along the shore and sat down, tugging her socks and shoes back on. She waved at Katie to indicate that she was still listening if she started talking.
