First Train Ride
Aurelia stood on the platform with her parents and grandmother, "But I don't want to go," she said to her parents, her grandmother was looking around the platform muttering things about blood traitors, mudbloods, and what this world was coming to.
"Too bad," replied her father, "You will go, and you will do your best."
"I really don't understand what you're complaining about," her mother said, "I really enjoyed Hogwarts."
"Ha!" Aurelia and her parents turned to her grandmother, "Look at that mudblood over there!" Her grandmother said, loud enough for most of the platform to hear. Aurelia followed her grandmothers' gaze to where a muggle-born was standing with his muggle parents, looking nervous.
"For Merlin's sake, shut up! You're drawing attention to us. We must hide our beliefs in public." Her father hissed through his teeth.
"Speak up, boy!" Her grandmother replied. Her father blushed in embarrassment and Aurelia suppressed a giggle.
"I told you to shut up you useless old woman!" He answered. Aurelia's grandmother was silent and glared at him in silent fury. "And as for you," he continued, now looking at Aurelia, "It is time you learned to obey your parents like a good pureblood child!" he finished. Aurelia was about to protest but decided against it and joined her grandmother in glaring at him in silent fury.
"The train will be leaving soon. It is time you went." Aurelia's mother said to her.
"Fine. But don't expect me to write." Aurelia answered.
"That's a shame dear," Her grandmother replied, "I was looking forward to a good laugh about how confused those mudbloods are."
Aurelia's gaze softened a bit, "Of course I'll write to you, grandma," she answered, "I suppose I had better go. Bye mother, bye father," she said with fake sweetness in her voice, but her eyes still showed absolute hatred.
"Bye Aurelia," her mother replied.
"Goodbye, be good." answered her father.
Aurelia glared at them both and went to her grandmother, "Bye grandma, I'll write to you every day."
"Bye dear." her grandmother said.
Aurelia let go of her grandmother and went towards the train, she ignored her parents and gave one last wave to her grandmother before getting onto the train and finding an empty compartment, which she sat down in and looked out the window.
